Here I am seaching the whereabouts of Huereque(pronounced "Where-Ay-Kay").
This is a cactus that grows in the northwestern Mexican desert and is claimed on various Internet articles to have strong effects on lowering blood Sugar
levels. (I have found two spellings: Huerque and Huereque by many authors.)
A typical dose is 1200 mg daily, taken in capsules of 200 mg each, 3 times daily.
LOWERS BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS:
Claims of these articles mention insulin-dependant Type II diabetes patients eventually can discountine medicine(insulin, etc.) because of it's effect on blood sugar levels. Though I have not found any articles on side effects after six months of use tolerance to huereque can occur. The recommendation is to use huereque in four to six months straight and a one month break in between.
MY SEARCH CONTINUES FOR BETTER DIABETES HEALTH
Of course I am maintaining proper diet, exercise, other herbs, vitamins, juicing, proper sleep and stress relieving techniques to control my diabetes.
I am type II and am on the look-out for places for more information and purchase of Huereque Cactus.
Any information is appreciated.
