The discussions on this forum sure make it sound attractive. What kind of support can one expect if we bring up topics such as the ones aforementioned? Does one have to be a Democrat? Thanks for your help.

Fun aside, there is a strong affiliation with "fundamentalist christianty" and republicans. Their brutal style of politics and the warmongering against Islam are two reasons why I feel good about my athiesm. Republikans use their strong faith and bible stories to justify their War on Islam, War on Drugs, War on long hair, etc.War War War.
So do christian democrats of course, they key being religion of some sort, with a god of some sort. They allways make trouble, allways.
I don't mean to pick out christians here, all religions have done war.
Seriously though, I think you will enjoy the support here.
None of it will come from religious people, but there is a very strong spiritual side to all who have joined up so far. "Something connecting all life and all things", is as far down that road to inventing god as we generally go tho.
But athiesm give you freedom to persue any line of thought without restrictions. We do not want to develop any "doctrines" of how athiests should act, thats the point.
What issues would yopu like to put forth? Whatever they are, you can expect some support , and there will likely be some debate too. Actually, not many christians visit us here unless they have a pre-determined hostility towards us. Nobody from Islam has shown up yet.
Athiesm is the fastest growing group of people in terms of beliefs.
Creation just doesn't make it for a lot of p[eople anymore, as we see that if there is a god, he could simply use evolutionary progress as his method. I don't know why the fundies cant see that.

And democrats do the same things as Republicans. Under Pres. Clinton, prison populations soared, esp for minor pot busts. So they are no better. I sure didn't mean to suggest that, sarcasm was a bad choice of styles I guess.

The elites, the New World Order, has "their men in every postition", thats is how they control things in every sector of culture , media, finances, education, health, politics, etc - they have people under thier control, pushing their agenda, everywhere it counts.
We must know the real enemy and not fight amongst ourselves, that is the gretest asset they have against us - we can allways be counted on to create division within our ranks, with just a little shove in that direction by the elites , through media, education, culture, etc.
Again, sorry about the confusion from sarcasm. That is a typical way we fall into the trap of conflicts. I will try to avoid that in the future - does this help us, you and me, to find common ground?
Karlin has made one error. Karlin thinks the other HALF, and I mean literally and exactly the other half is just like Karlin. It would be nice if everbody wanted peace and love. But the other half,called republicans in the US want only two things,Slavery and Total War. And if they get hungry enough they will put you in a pot, cook you and eat you. Both the Selfish and Altruistic Species are born into this world as such, already formed. It is like night and day. It is the theatre of reality. I am an eliteist and far worse than your nightmares. Iwant to bring the troops home after they flatten Fallaju and attack liberals, democrats and other crap. I want to install a population control system like China except the high IQ will be encouraged to have more kids and the low IQ to have fewer kids.
