Hi, My hubby and I are on the Candida diet and he's going absolutely nuts wanting some sort of treat. Does anyone have some treat recipes they could share that are okay for the diet? Maybe things with stevia or molasses, and non of the other no-nos like white flour etc?
Thanks so much!!

I use Xylitol as a sugar substitute for Vegan cookies. I will look for the recipe and get it to you. Just find a favorite recipe and substitute xylitol for sugar, spelt flour in place of white flour, applesauce in place of eggs (if your off eggs). Just use similiar consistency items for replacing other ingredients. I like to add a few blueberries and Kamut cereal too. Yummy!
Also: Ezekial 4:9 makes a yummy cinnamon raisin bread that you can use Ghee on. For my son I add xylitol and cinnamon and make a SUPER sweet treat.
Personally, I don't recommend starting on sweets, because most of those snacks are made with high carb grains. I found that once I started with them, it was really hard to control myself from eating it a lot of the time. But, if you have good control, here is a really good recipe for rice crispy snacks made with brown rice, almond butter, and vegetable glycerine.
