Hi Invincible,
I read somewhere once that magnetic therapy can help with tennis elbow. Also I have book on complimentary medicine and under repetitive strain injury problems it recommends a number of things beside the orthodox treatment of physiotherapy.....
Osteopathy
Alexander technique - RSI respond very well to Alex Tech as it helps to reduce undue tensions in the cervical spine and generally in neck and shoulders. The technique helps the person to achieve and maintain freedom and poise while engaging in certain activities
Rolfing - alleviates the problem by enabling the muscles to move more appropriately and releasing muscles which are causing pain
Autogenic training
Chiropractic - using manipulation and mobilization, soft tissue work and other modalities eg ultra-sound. Also Ergonomic advice will be offered.
Nutrition - lack of B6 and it's co-factors (magnesium?)
Massage to increase circulation and use of herbs eg rosemary, juniper and lavender
Naturopathy - neuromuscular and osteopathic treatment, Hydrotherapy, contrast bathing and applied nutrition.
Hellerwork has reportedly worked wonders with RSI.
Acupuncture, acupressure and shiatsu may also help.
Hope your boyfriend finds something to help :)

When I had a tennis elbow, from playing tennis :), I went to a chiropractor and that helped. The other thing that a chiropractor sells is a wrist brace, so you can't bend your wrist.
Very easy to wear. You use it especially at night so you can't bend your wrist while you are sleeping. A lot of people have the wrist bend and then sleep on it.
I'm sorry to hear about your husbands injury. I know how bad these injuries can be. I had injured both my shoulder and elbow. Anyway, Active release technique will really help with his tennis elbow. Enough so that he should be able to work almost pain free in 3 or 4 sessions. I know he is struggling financially but maybe he could get unemployment for a little while till he heals up right. But the ART will really help as long as he has someone that knows what they are doing.

Hello
I had tennis elbow 4 years ago that was severely painful at all times
I went to a doctor who is achronic pain specialist and he told me that he felt that it was caused by worry and tension. He offerred to give me a cortisone shot as he said they sometimes helped by loosening up the nerve. (Cannot remember exactly what he said.)
Well the same day it started to get better. He told me that it was because I was doing something for myself by going to see a doctor. I still have it vaguely but only notice it when I think about it specifically
Anyway it sounds like you are on the right track.
Best of luck
Helen
I have a daughter who gets tennis elbow all the time. See straps on an compression wrap with a build in ice pack. She says its great. Stays on and she can still play. Stay cold a while. This is the place she get it. King brand. Great products. http://www.kingbrand.com/Elbow-Injury-Treatment.php?REF=Boris1011
