This is my first time doing this liver/gallstone cleanse - I am 46 years old and I have Gallstones and eagerly waiting to do this cleansing process - I am in my fifth day of the cleanse, what shall I look for. What colors in bowel movements, will they be hard stones, soft, help please?
I saw 3 stones floating in the toilet, the size of large grape seeds.
They were semi hard. I could have crushed one with my finger.
Could be green, brown, reddish, etc.

I just finished my first liver/gallstone cleanse with excellent results. I am 40 years old and was diagnosed (via ultrasound) with Gallstones 10 years ago.
My clense involved a 21-day detox program culminating in a 3-day liver cleanse. I passed the stones on the second day of the three-day clense.
My stones were dark green and shiny, some the size of a lentil, others the size of a chickpea. There were many of them - at least 35-40 - which surprised me at the time. Since then I've learned that people can have hundreds of stones.
Here are some disgusting but pertinent details, so please bear with me: With my clense, the stones were imbedded in the stool. I could see the stones, because my stool was light yellow-green and mossy (from eating green apples, I imagine) and the stones were dark green, solid and shiny. I hear that gallstones can be a variety of colors, though. They weren't hard, but they were very dense.
Passing them was not painful, but slightly uncomfortable.
I hope this is helpful, and good luck on your clense!
More "pertinent" details
I place an old plastic colander (with small holes) over the toilet bowl and place the seat down over it. Its a bit wobbly but it serves well enough for an occasional sitting!
This catches the stool or whatever is passed.
Then, with a large plastic ice cream container under the colander, to ensure nothing "leaks out" I transfer this to the bath where I "blast" the contents with a hand shower!
The plastic ice cream container under the colander allows water to fill the colander so you can see what floats.
Then by lifting it out of the water you can examine the contents. Like panning for gold!
You can rinse all the contents to one side of the bottom of the colander for draining and collecting.
I place the gravel like pieces ("after blasting") in a small container, with some methylated spirits.
I am fortunate that I have found a doctor who is also a naturopath who endorses the "Flushing" process. He is also willing to send my "productions" (stones?) away to pathology for analysis.
The last time the results came back as "calcium based".
He assured me these could well be gall stones. Though a follow up ultra sound shows no real change. But my doctor assures me that my gallbladder is literally "packed" with tiny stones. So it could take a while before I pass enough to make to a marked difference.
But I am willing to persist.
I did my fourth flush two nights ago. This morning (morning two) I have passed a dry stool though I have been on a mostly fluid fast, mostly apple juice, for about four days. This crumbled when "blasted", into gravel like bits. A lot of it floated. Tan and dark green in colour.
My last flush was similar, in that I passed dry stools on second morning. That became gravel when "blasted" with water. But it was terracotta in colour. Very strange looking. And nothing like anything I had eaten.
Hello,
I wanted to let you know that first of all I COULD NOT STAND that Epsom Salt formula. I sipped a tiny bit of that when it was mixed with the juice and I nearly gagged up all that non fat food.
Modifications as suggested by my herbologist. You should have 2 days of juice fasting to aid in the flush but you don’t have to have it. In the juice fasting it is best to use a lot of apples to help soften the stones.
Eat a no fat breakfast and lunch and at 2pm stop eating and drinking. Did you know that you can eat boiled shrimp? You can also eat steamed veggies with salt but no fat-remember!
He told me the same recipe as the grandma nada one with some modifications
At 6 pm drink
1 cup of EV Olive Oil
10 Lemons
6 Benefiber chewables (1 hour later)
But take 6 Benefiber chewables 1 hour after drinking it . I was thinking that this is not what any of the other recipes had suggested. He had told me that is has the same basic compound as the Epsom Salts . You drink it and then you can do whatever you want for 1 hour but after you take those Benefiber’s you must lie down.
So, I drank it and then got my kids ready for bed. Took the Benefiber. Went to sleep. I woke up a few times in the night with no stones, but come 2am, I see about 20 of them. About 6 am I counted 56 tiny ones and 5 larges ones. I was so glad that it work and I didn’t have to take that nasty Epsom salt. Oh by the way, I now know what everyone meant by “blast” when it blasts out.
What is the recipe for your cleanse? I've been on a 5 day liver cleanse and just about barfed when i had to drink the epsom salt. Thats the most disgusting stuff I've ever drank.
If you have a different recipe I'll try it.
Thanks
I did not follow the apple juice formula the day prior to the cleanse. I like food so I ate the day before the cleanse and also the day of the cleanse low fat meals until 4pm. Then I took the 6pm 3/4 cup grapefruit juice with 1 TBSP Epsom Salt. To me, I can only taste a hint of a bitteness to the grapefruit juice, but otherwise, it tastes fine. I repeated this at 8pm. At 10pm, I had the 1/4 cup olive oil, and shook it up with 1/4 cup room temp grapefruit juice. It mixed fine. That was harder. I used a straw which was easier than just sipping on it. Downed it in a couple of minutes. Had a bout of diarrhea. Then went to bed on my right side. I could feel my gallbladder presence, but no pain. Just the feeling that it was starting its engine. Then woke up at 2am nauseous, very nauseous, and with the urge to throw up. Threw up very small amount of the grapefruit, olive oil, mostly dry heeves. That was the worst of the whole thing. The rest was okay. Then felt better, went back to bed till morning. Then had liquid out. No stones. Then drank Epsom Salt mixture again at 8am 3/4 cup grapefruit juice and 1TBSP epsom salt. Then went to work. Then went to the bathroom and had: about 25 stones, pea green color to a darker green, ranging in sizes from a penny to a pea in size. They were floating, formed, semi soft, kind of like meaty clay consistency. Then later had rocky little pebbles, tan in color, maybe a teaspoonful, very hard like stone. Felt good. Energetic. Nice feeling of well being. If I could do it again, I'd eat less so that the nausea isn't there.
I've done the cleanse twice now. I've 92 and 122 stones. Each time, about half were green and the size of peas, from the smallest to the largest. I've read that these do come from the liver itself.
Then the rest were all different colors and often shaped like whole grains of wheat. (I do not eat whole grains of wheat and I'd done a Bowel Cleanse prior to the liver cleanses.) I don't know what this is. Does anyone else?
Also, I have had a total of 4 multi-colored, peanut-sized stones. these are always in the last evacuation and they make me feel sick from the time they leave my liver/gallbladder until they actually pass out of my body. Does anyone know what these are?
Appreciate learning more and your comments.
