I have a newborn that I am nursing and I would like to do the flush soon to relieve symptoms before I have a full blown attack. Anyone do the clense while nursing? Any advice?
I am a young, nursing mother who has been in pretty intense pain for about 6 1/2 hours tonight so far. I guess I would like to know when I need to be worried, if the gallbladder cleanse is safe for a barely 3 month old baby, and if so, is there something you can mix with the oil to disguise it more? I hate the taste of olive oil even in extremely small amounts. I'm afraid I won't be able to even get it down, let alone keep it down.

Hello Beenie,
welcome to forum.
Liver cleanse can be taken without any problem, 2 - 3 weeks after birth.
Your body will absorb the amount of epsom salt that can not harm you, or your milk.
The rest of the epsom salt that is not absorbed will only cause diarrhea for you, while baby is safe.
Many people have done it.
If you are using Dr. Hulda Clark liver cleanse, then you are suppose to drink only 1/2 cup of oil mixed with 1/2 cup of freshly pressed grapefruit juice.
It does not taste oil, it tastes more like fatty grapefruit juice.
You should also know that there are many kinds of Virgine Olive Oil, and some of them taste better, other worse.
Any cold pressed (expeller pressed ) Olive oil, first pressing, is Virgine Olive Oil.
Olive oil presed from August 15th to Sept 15th is the strongest (worst) tasting. A lot of antioxidants.
Great for the skin treatment.
Olive oil presed from Sept 15th to October 15th is milder tasting.
Less antioxidants.
Olive oil presed from October 15th to December 15th is even milder tasting.
Far less antioxidants.
Olive oil presed from December 15th to January 15th is mildest in its taste. Minimum antioxidants.
I guess, you should try to get one that is from December.
There is a woman who did cleanse while breastfeeding, and she posted her experience.
I copy her story here.

Agnes

Subject: Re: gallbladder cleanse
Hello Diane,
I too have much g.bladder liver pain and attacks. I am currently breast
feeding my 10 month old baby and did the g.bladder flush last night, she has
had no diareha stomach cramps, crying spells or anything since last evening.
I only took two epsom salt dosages last night at 6pm and 8 pm then at 10 took
the olive oil/g.juice.
I skipped one dose (took a cup for the 2 doses) I had done these flushes
before I was pregnant for about two years until there was no more stones
coming out. My liver hurts so very much I felt like I had to do something I
was successful in getting out a lot of stones out so far, one as big as a
grape!
I find a coffee retention enema very helpful also, I feel better not so sick
to my stomach and headache.
It is nice to read of others b.feeding and trying to determine the balance of
what to take and not to take. I too feel the strain on my digestive system
and liver but am so pleased with my babys health and the bond that has taken
place. if any other mothers out there have any other tips or comments please
speak up the support is wonderful.
agnes--please help allay my fears. i'm nursing my 15-mo. old son, just did my first liver flush. i did only one dose of salts in the evening, 1/2 dose in the am. i got some stones out, but 2 days afterwards feel flushed (as in hot), insomnia, and something like trapped gas in my intestines.
could the liver flush release toxins (and heavy metals) into the bloodstream, and therefore the breastmilk? is my milk safe?
and any suggestions on what i can do to help my own symptoms?
you seem quite knowledgeable, agnes. please help!
thanks.
I am the same "Celia" who did the cleanse on Monday, Jan. 14th, at 33-1/2 weeks or 7-1/2 months pregnant.
I kept having gall bladder attacks so with my beautiful baby girl only 3 weeks old I did my second cleanse.
The cleanse was successful, expelling stones again, just not as many as the first cleanse. I used the olive oil/lemon juice cleanse and only drank a little more than half of the total 2 cups of oil.
My breastfeeding baby was fine ! It didn't deplete my milk supply at all. My baby did have colic right after the cleanse, but she has been having colic off and on since she was born. It was also time for her to have a bowel movement and she did. Maybe the olive oil that got into my milk helped her pass a stool? It was not diarrhea. It was a normal stool.
I actually got more sleep during this cleanse. The olive oil did bring on more nausea than last time, so your advice of standing up and walking on marbles to get the air out of the stomach worked, plus drinking the olive oil slower with a little V-8 juice and waiting longer in-between doses worked well too. (Putting marbles inside a gallon ziploc bag, then inside another gallon ziploc bag for added strength, works well for walking on them.)
My baby breastfed the whole time, in-between doses and after. I laid down on my right side constantly, so to nurse her on my left breast I had to lean over more, almost on my stomach, but it worked to keep me on my right side and still be able to nurse her on both breasts.
The next morning I was weak again, but ate slowly and felt stronger by the afternoon.
In my opinion, it is safe to do the gall bladder cleanse during pregnancy and during breastfeeding. I am grateful for this website and all your help! I think I'll still need more cleanses in the future. I'll keep in touch.

I forgot to type that for both of these cleanses I used the "Are you Stoned?" recipe that only has olive oil and lemon juice, no Epsom Salts . In my opinion, epsom salts should not be taken during preganancy and breastfeeding. The oil lubricates everything enough to get a lot of stones out without pain.

Hi Celia. I saw your posts on Curezone. I am nursing and am considering doing some cleanses but I have been told it's better to wait until weaning (which might be approx 6 months from now). Have you done any parasite or liver cleanses? If so, what was your experience. If not, why? Thanks!
I am breastfeeding my third child and she is 18 mos. I took the colon cleanse, then the liver with grapefuit juice and olive oil one night and then drank apple juice all day for the oilive oil and lemon juice cleanse the second night. Today is day three. I feel that my daughter did fine. She has normal stools. I have such a bad headache and still have pain under my right rib area.
I'm scheduled for an unltrasound tomorrow of my gall bladder.
From reading the posts, I see I'm in for more cleanses. I hope to be pain free soon. I have not passed any hard stones that I can tell. Most all are green and are soft when pressed on.
I did notice that the grapefruit was harder to drink and I burped a lot. I had to mix apple in the last dose. The lemon juice and olive oil went down better. Plus I had the oil cold in the fridge and drank with a straw quickly.
Well Last night I did the cleanse and drank nearly the whole pint of olive oil (had about a 1/2 cup left) I was pretty nauseas all night but did not have any pain otherwise. This morning I had about 20 small stones. I was amazed to actually be able to see them clearly. Early this afternoon I had a few more bigger ones. I am pleased with this cleanse so far. I have had no problems with my son at all. He even nursed more than usual last night. I will try another cleanse in about 2-3 months thank you for the information.

First I have to say thank you so much for this site. It changed my life…literally. My sister found you on the web and forwarded the link on to me. I am so grateful.
I am 32 years old and I believe my Gallstones are directly linked to my pregnancy and the birth of my son, since I had my first attack (although I didn't know what it was at the time) less than a month after my son was born and later learned it is a common occurrence after pregnancy. The osteopath I found sent me for a sonogram (just to rule things out). (Osteopaths have the same training as doctors in the U.S., but have a different degree and are usually more holistic.)
I was stunned to learn from the sonogram doctor that I had gallstones. When I asked what could be done, she didn't hesitate to tell me that most people have their gallbladders taken out. I left the office feeling really demoralized, but felt at least that my osteopath would have a broader view on the subject. You can imagine my surprise when the first thing he did was ask his nurse to get the number of a surgeon for me! When I suggested other options, he said he didn't know of any and scared me by saying that I could potentially have a hospitalizing attack at any time and it wasn't safe to just do nothing. I just couldn't believe it. I have to say I was pretty scared. Luckily, I was able to meditate on it and I already had access to your site, so I knew I had a few options.
I changed my diet, cutting out high fat foods especially dairy and quickly learned (by trial an error) what triggered my attacks. I had a few nasty attacks during that time, but nothing that took me to the hospital.
I kept putting off doing the cleanse but I finally got up the courage to do my first flush two weekends ago and it was amazing! I did flush #2 (William Donald Kelleys) on this site. At first I wanted to do Hulda Clark s flush, but at the last minute I changed my mind. I wanted to do the Clark parasite cleanse before I did the flush, but didn't because of the breastfeeding. I was worried about taking wormwood. I also skipped the PHOSFOOD (in Kelleys flush) just to be safe. I just wasn't sure so I stuck with what I knew. I'm only breastfeeding once in the mornings these days, so I fed my son the morning before I did the flush, but skipped the morning after just to be safe. (For frame of reference, my son is now nine months old.)
I thought the hardest thing about the flush would be drinking the olive oil, but the worst thing for me was the Epson Salts. Yuck. But totally worth it. (By the way, my sister told me that the Greeks or Romans used to drink olive oil as a drink, so thinking of that when I drank it really helped. I drank it out of a wine glass although I admit I did it as fast as I could…) I did all the optional parts of the flush. I think the coffee enema really helped me not feel nauseous. After I drank the olive oil, I could not for the life of me figure out the right position to get into in bed, but I did my best. Then I did Hulda Clarks position afterwards, just to be thorough. I slept through the night…What woke me up early the next morning was my baby, not the cleanse. In fact nothing happened the next morning when I woke up. I was starting to worry that it wasn't going to work. I went back to bed for a while and finally got up to eat breakfast a couple hours later. As I took my first bite I felt a mild queasiness and finally felt like something was happening. I went to the bathroom and was thrilled to find that I had passed my first gallstone. I didn't even know it was happening. I just looked and there it was. After that I passed quite a few. Lost track of the number. Mostly the big (some ½ inch in size) cholesterol kind I believe. The green ones I passed were rather small. I took pictures. I'm still so amazed that it worked.
Anyway, even though I had read that I would probably have to do more than one flush, I was still hoping for an amazing full recovery the next day. Even though I felt better mentally from having done it and somewhat physically, I still didn't feel 100%. I was glad I had read in the forums that that can happen. I felt like another enema was in order but wound up putting it off for a week until I attempted eating a burger with cheese and started to feel really lousy. Then I took a little olive oil and went to bed. The next morning I still felt lousy so as a last ditch effort I drank the Lemon Olive Oil concoction listed under (Gradual Liver/Gallbladder cleansing) and within an hour of finishing the drink I felt great and have felt good ever since. I think in retrospect that maybe a stone got stuck during my first cleanse??? Is it possible to pass stones and not even know it (i.e. not see them)? I know I need to do another cleanse, but I haven't had an attack since then. (Although I am keeping away from burgers and cheese for now, I have pushed myself a little bit food wise and have had no problems.) That's my story. I highly recommend the flush to everyone. It was much easier than I thought it was going to be and I'm really proud of myself for doing it and not falling prey to the medical establishment's limited view of the body!!
Lastly, I want to add that lecithin is great for cleaning the gallbladder and I recently read on the internet that onions are great as well. Who knew?

Makes me think that although well-meaning, doctors have been mind-programmed into the cult called "surgery and drugs". You can tell that they are brainwashed because they are so closed-off to new ideas. I feel sorry for them because they will die of their own self-created diseases and suffer needlessly.

You did the perfect thing. Our inner guidance will point the way to the solution if we are truly open to receiving it.
Thank God for all of the natural healers on this planet and for the internet and their books so we can access their material.
Hi! I need help! I'm also a nursing mom of a 15 month old. I started the liver cleanse yesturday drinking about 32oz of apple juice 3-4 hours before going to bed. In the middle of the night when my baby awoke to nurse, about 15-30 min later she vomitted all her milk and food. I bathed her and attempted to nurse her again. Same thing, she vomitted again so i just put her to sleep with a pacifier. In the morning I attempted nursing her again and she did the same thing. Could the apple juice be affecting my breast milk? Should I stop doing the cleanse?
