Hi - I had my gallbladder removed a year ago and I still have alot of stomach pain which seems to be common according to this website. If I avoid milk and greasy foods I have less pain. Actually I prefer this pain to the countless gallbladder attacks and the gallstone Pancreatitus I had.
Hi, I had my gall bladder removed 9 months ago and I still have pain, it's crazy! Antacids seem to help, also if I massage the area where the pain is, it goes away for awhile. I don't know what could be causing this pain, I don't think I have a stone. Anyone have any ideas?
Hi Katie,
Yes I've had the same problems and no one can find the answers to
them,I've found a new sergeon he wil be doing a lap on me
soon, he does not trust what the first sergeon did,and wants to see
for him self,as for the lung that i don't have, but the pain for
me starts from the right side of my sternum and wraps all the way
around to the middle of my back, i'm starting to think it's my
liver, since the 1st sergeon tore my extra-hepatic duct on the right
side of my liver, which left me 3liters of bile in my belly, and
also a nasty case of peritionitis and month long stay in the hosp.
and get this the didn't like the fact that i was angry with him
so he asked a shrink to speak to me, i was angry because of
the time away from my husband and 2yr old son, shrink told me and
doc there was nothing wrong with how i felt,i guess if i were
you,i would find a new doc or sergeon, i know i will fell
alot better if new doc looks inside, you just know when somthing is
wrong. trust your instinks, and by the way when he tore that duct
he just closed me up!i was sick for 2 weeks before any one would do something. hope this helps, lori

i had my gallbladder surgery march 19 2003 i came home a few hours later i work at the hosptial where i had it done my surgeon is highly recemened so far no problems except the diarreha not everyday just 3or4 days aweek my surgeon knows about this if it does not get better in another week he will check things out my gallbladder was full of infection is why it was removed i also had it done lappy style i took a month off since i had the time built up my dr. ok it sometimes people go back too soon he states so hang in there i will post what he perscribes for me soon
I had my gallbladder removed in Feb 2003. The first 3 days I was in a lot of pain, but that was expected. However, after that it hurt just to move, or even to breathe. After a week the pain was still there and I was practically bed-ridden. When I developed a fever I went back to my surgeon. It turns out that the fever was from a urinary tract infection which is common for women after having a catheter in during surgery. The pain I had in my side and abdomen when I breathed or moved was caused by a torn muscle along my right rib. I probably tore it in the first couple days post-surgery, trying to get myself out of bed or something. The doctor prescribed muscle relaxers and after 2 days I was fine. If you're having these problems you might want them to check your muscles. I thought I would know if I had torn a muscle, but the pain is masked and confused by the post-surgery pain. I hope this helps. :)
I just had my gallbladder removed (021604) and have had pretty bad pain in my side. Was it hard for you to take a breath in? You know when you get a "catch" in your side and it hurts to breathe in, was it like that? I'm having some very weird pains on my right side, under my ribcage. When I'm laying down, I'm fine. But when standing up, I have a hard time breathing. It seems to be getting better, but at a snails pace. I've only found one other person who's had any unusual post-op pain. I know I've strained a back muscle trying to compensate. Just trying to figure out what could be wrong since my doctor isn't sure. Thanks!
I just had my gallbladder removed a week ago. I was told that everything went well during my surgery and I was sent home the same day. After 3 days I was feeling well enough to return to my normal activities. To much surprise, I woke up this morning to pains very similar to the ones that my doctors had called gallbladder attacks. I went to the ER and they did x-rays and bloodtests and told me that everything was fine. I was told that I was just still sore from my surgery. They said this is normal, but it doesn't seem normal. I mean, I was feeling better and all of a sudden I was in pain again. And if the pain feels exactly like the pain I had before my gallbladder surgery, it seems as though my original pain wasn't from my gallbladder at all. I know that with any surgery, it takes time for your body to heal. But I believe that these doctors are just making assumptions. I have had laproscopic surgery before and there was discomfort and soreness, but never "severe pain" like I have been in today. I'm really worried that by passing my pain off as pre-op soreness, that another problem is being overlooked. Is it really normal to have the exact same pain even after your gallbladder is removed? These pains are in my right side, just below my ribs and it extends into my back and they are very sharp. If anyone can answer any of these questions for me, I would be so grateful. I have four small children and I can't go on in pain when they need me. That was my only reason for having the surgery in the first place. Thank you so much and God Bless. Nicole
I am just home from the hospital after visiting my extremely sore and ill husband. After having severe abdominal pain which was wrongly diagnosed as gastric upset, then chronic constipation or perhaps heart pain he was taken for Xrays, ultrasound and later a CT scan (I think). He was told after the ulrasound that he had three small stones that would be no problem but later he was told he had an infected gallbladder and would need antibiotics. He could choose to have the Gallbladder out immediately or come back in 6 weeks time. He chose 6 weeks. He thought he would try the liver flushing as it had worked for me. But when his blood tests showed a rise in infection the doctors wanted him to have laproscopic surgery immediately. He was told it would shorten his recovery time with some people able to go home the next day.To cut a long story short the surgery resulted in spillage when the bag carrying the rotten GB and contents burst as it was being pulled through the belly button hole they had made. He now has an infection, is on heaps of drugs and pain killers, and is in a great deal of pain when he moves. He now lies with sweat soaking his bed, tubes to remove crap from his belly, a catheter, an oxygen tube up his nose. NOT A HAPPY CHAPPY. Give me liver cleansing any day. It sure beats surgery. I won't complain about the taste ever again. Let the Knockers of flushes have their surgery I won't be rushing to join them. My husband loved to poke muck at me and my "healthy" food and liver flushes. Who's laughing now? Not him. I'm feel so sad that I didn't convince him to do the cleanses with me. Pray for him. He has a battle now to get well. Regards Grumpy"s stressed out wife.
I have to have gall bladder surgery fora bunch of stones that are causing me lots of pain, have had them now for over three years. Anyhow people tell me about the Liver Flush but I was also told that it is very dangerous for people with stones as it can make the stone move out and down the duct and then get stuck and then you need major surgery and not the less problematic (hopefully ) kind of laparoscopy...so why are people pushing the flushes for people with stones? If you don't have stones, definitely, but once you do, that can be dangerous.
judy,
I think you have not read many posts on liver flushing. Try reading some and you will find that there are hundreds of people that have successfully removed stones from the gall bladder by doing these liver flushes. I am one of them. I had a stone stuck in the "neck of gall bladder" last September. I found this out when the pain was too great to deal with and I went to the ER. Of course they wanted to admit me and do immediate surgery. I came home and did a flush the next day. I had no trouble then, nor with the following seven liver flushes. So, that is one reason why we are pushing liver flushes: it works. No sense in having the gall bladder taken out surgically. Liver flushing is not dangerous to any one but the doctor that misses the money he could have made from doing the gall bladder surgery. I am assuming that the information you have been getting is from a doctor. Please read the posts here from people who have actually done liver flushing with success. I am sorry that you have already had gall bladder removed.
I still have my gullbladder although, just as usual, i was also forced to go in for the removal process...(laproscophy). I have a stone of 1,3 cm, I'm without any sympthoms, so I also doubt it is necessary to remove an important organ, and i've been looking for alternative treatments almost for two years. Gall-drops, breaking with ultrasound, these are the possibilities, according to the doctors. The first one is not really effective, the second is risky, so I kept on chasing in the net until i bumped into liver flush. Seems to be very intresting, but did you dare doing it without any medical assistance? What if, for instance, the expanding of the bile duct does not happen in the proper time, /even if i followed the instructions properly/ and the leaving stones stuck in the bile duct? In that case, we would definately need urgent surgery i guess... The same could happen during the ultrasound breaking as the doctors informed me, although only with a little possibility. Each person reacts for treatments in a different way, although I admit there are general trends, and I think doctors should control any kind of drastic methods like this.
Against all this, I crave for this treatment, (so many advantages it has!) I'd like to try it, but frankly, I'm not convinced yet. Could you give me information, share your experiences, to ease my anxiety?

What a week. Last Monday night a week ago I woke up with a huge pain in the chest like a heart attack. I had just had a great physical a month prior and EKG etc. The next day I went for a CT scan of the whole body. Guess what? "Big Stones".
I rushed to the Motion Picture Hospital the next day to see my Dr. and he sent me for an ultra-sound. Guess what? "Big Stones".
They scheduled me for surgery last Friday at 9:30 am. The Thursday before I had to go in for blood work and a chest X-Ray before the surgery. I did not sleep well all night thinking of this surgery. I am 57 and a father of three small children that need a father.
I stumbled onto this site via Google. I read for three hours. All the negatives etc. about taking the gall bladder out. I read about the flushes. I cancelled the surgery that morning to the surprize of everyone who wanted my money or insurance money regardless of my future without a gall bladder.
I followed Dr. Hulda's gall bladder flush recipe to a tee last Friday http://curezone.com/cleanse/liver/huldas_recipe.asp
WOW! My stomack was pretty empty before I started the flushes.
Stones, stones, stones and some really big stones. You must rest
while doing this for two days.
This morning the Dr's office called me to intimidate me. "What you are doing is "LIFE THREATNING" he said. I have seen these flushes and they do not work.He wanted to get me in for another ultra- sound. I guess he needed to pay his car payment. I said I would after a couple of months. I want to do more flushes etc.
I am watching my diet real well now. NO FAT and enemas.
I am in no pain and I feel GREAT...This site has saved my life. Now I would not go back to this Dr for anything in the world even if I did really need it out.
Why don't Dr's help us try everything possible before the knife?
Money, money, money........Go flush now right now....Good Luck.
Great to hear that you avoided gall bladder surgey. I went through basically the same thing that you did. I, also, said NO to their recommendation of surgery. They even told me that I would die without it. That was last September and I am not dead yet, heh heh heh. I have done eight liver flushes since then and gotten out hundreds of stones. I plan to keep on flushing until there are no more stones. Welcome to curezone !!
Keep us posted.

Help....my soon to be 12 year old daughter had to have her gallbladder removed in October. She ended up in intensive care and was very ill from it....of course part of the problem was she went a week in severe pain before they removed it because "nothing showed on any of the test" not ct or sonograms or blood work....then in Feb she had a pain attack that lasted for days in the same exact location same exact pain,,,,they blamed it on swollen lymph nodes in the area. The 24 of April we were in the hospital again in acute pain,,,the specialist finally agreed to see her in the office...My husband demanded they do an endoscopy and ERCP so on Wed,. the 30th of April the ERCP showed several around 30 small stones at the bottom of the bile duct and
(now keep in mind there have been CTs and sonograms and Blood test performed this time and the time in feb also...with "nothing showing") Her bile duct was five time the size it should be and they do a huge sphictrodomy to re;move the stones. She was relived for about 4 days then the pain comes back and she begin to vomit and spit up small amounts of bile after eating...she is also very nauseated after eating...this goes for 2 weeks and another ERPC is performed, this time no stone show, now the doctor think she is just so tired and fatigued that she can't possible have the perspective to tell that the pain is not the same. First it was suggested to see Child Pyscologist...which I personally think is ridiculous..then a pain management doctor...which i also wonder what that is for since it is very evident this child has some sort of physical problem with stone production or bile trauma. Please helppppppp the next closes Pediatric Gastro
Specialist is 7 hour away....Has anyone had similar experience or could help us with advice...please respond...
I have to have my gall removed and decided to do some research. What I have realized more then anything is that, the procedure in itself is NOT the problem with a skilled physician. My Mother, Father and oldest brother ALL had their gall bladders removed with no negative after affects. All three of them had the same surgeon. No matter what surgery a person has, there are risks of complications. There is GREATER RISK if you have a poor surgeon. My advice, do background checks. To leave an infected, or clogged gall bladder in the body raises the risk significantly for tumors and cancer. SMOKERS ESPECIALLY!!! I feel for everyone that has had a complication. I have a son who developed Autrism after immunizations. Doctors and the medical community refuse as a whole to admit such a connection, but the facts, research and investigatory reports prove otherwise. The medical community is a good old boy system. I do not trust doctors, this is why I research and request names of previous patients. It is your right to feel safe. You do not just trust a person because they have a title of doctor. Doctor does not make someone God. Every story even my own with my son which is unrelated to gall bladder but Autism, when later researched, shows many related cases of repeated problems with that perticular doctor. The key is education and background checks. Trust no one and ask every question. With the right doctor, a patient will be just fine.
I had my gallbladder removed 7 years ago. Wish I had known about the Flush back then.
Anyway...can I still do the Flush or will it cause problems?
I do still get gallbladder type pain (colic) which I think is stones in the common duct and want to get rid of it as well as help my liver function better.
Just because your gallbladder is removed doesn't mean that you won't have problems with stones. The stones come from the liver. You can flush them out. Do a search on Gallblader/liver flush. There's lots of recipes out there for them. I'm in the middle of a flush right now. I've actually gotten out at least 1/4 cup of stones so far this flush. Impressive. If a stone gets stuck while flushing, massage the area (the bile ducts) to loosen it & push it down. I've been able to loosen all of my stuck ones by hand.
Listen to this guys! My mother-in-law was not happy with us when I e-mailed and said we wouldn't be visiting for the 4th of July because I was having occasional gallbladder attacks and didn't know when or where I might have another one. She e-mailed back chastizing me for not going to the doctor to have my gallbladder removed. She said what I was doing was dangerous, etc. etc. Then she told me about my "smart" neice who had hers removed just days ago after a severe attack. Now, today I receive this e-mail from my mother-in-law:
"'Hi Beth,
Glad to hear that your GallBladder problem is improving. I think I told you that (your niece) had to have hers out . Got to wonder about that doctor. Turns out that the problem wasn't her Gall Bladder after all. After more attacks in spite of the Surgery
they finally did a proper test on her. She had and has Kidney stones. That can be taken care of without surgery. I think I'd tell that Doctor to not bother with sending me a bill. He could even be sued over that by some people. Could be you are wise to try a natural method.'"
Talk about feeling vindicated! I am so excited (but sorry for my niece). I went from being a foolish daughter-in-law one week to a "wise" one the next! It sure makes me feel good about what I am trying to do. thanks so much to all you guys and your support. It sure makes a difference when you have support!!!
