Once every 2 weeks or more often? Do I have to wait for the next 2 weeks to do the next flush? Can I flush the very next day? Can I flush myt liver 7 times per week? Can I flush 3 times per week? Can I flush once every 4 weeks? What is the best flush frequency? Is there any harm done in flushing often?
A day or 2 after each flush I have experienced bloating, pain in the gallbladder area - and occasional reflux (however the ND has me on some wonderful enzymes that have practically knocked all of the indigestion out). The swelling and pain happens in the evening - usually on my drive home from work. I've gotten so swollen and uncomfortable that I've had to loosen my clothes in the car and can't wait to come home and change into something loose. I feel like I need to flush again but see it recommended 1-2 weeks apart. Has anyone else experienced this "in-between flush" discomfort and found a solution for it? Thanks! Kim
Answer:
Dear Kim,
You don't necessary have to wait for 2 weeks to flush, especially not if you are experiencing any post-flush discomfort. Sometimes, people who repeat the flush already 1 or 2 days later fix all their problems with the next flush.
Sometimes, single flush is not enough to push the large stones out, but 2, or even 3 or 4 flushes done within 7 days period may be sufficient to quickly solve the problem, and to save you unnecessary suffering.
You can flush more often, actually you can flush as often as you feel like doing it, just make sure that inbetween your flushes you drink planty of clean water, and make sure that your diet inbetween your flushes is as natural and as clean as it can be, to not overload your kidneys.
The most important when doing flushes very often is to insure that you are not overworking your kidneys, and also that your bowel flora is not suffering, what can be insured with a sufficient amount of probiotics or raw yogurt. Digestive enzymes can also help a lot.
The swelling and pain are the common symptoms of water shortage, so I would recommend you to purchase the best quality bottled natural mountin water and to drink at least 2 liter or more every day.
Tea, coffe, or soft drinks can't replace water, and may even contribute more to water shortage.
Drink more water, and keep flushing, and be aware that sometimes, it may take 10 flushes to get larger stones out, and in some very rare cases it has even taken 40 or more flushes.
Every person is different, so do not expect to be one of those common people who get cured after 3 - 5 flushes, though, odds are - you may as well be one of them.
Keep flushing, and keep us informed ... it is exchange of information and experiences that gives support and strength to other people to flush and to injoy health.

I have been doing Dr. Clarks flushes since Feb. 01. Just now getting to the point that I feel I am near the end. Was diagnosed at Mayo Clinic with Systemic Lupus. Was in very bad shape. Nearly immobile. Was on numerous Rx drugs but still on the down hill slide.
Now, I am long since off all Rx drugs and quite healthy with no symptoms and no remaining blood test indicators of Lupus...ANA titre etc.
Some thoughts and tips based on my experience so far. Flush whenever you feel discomfort or pressure. I did many flushes just 2-3 days apart. Use heat and vibration to help move the stones along. I have not had luck dissolving stones. I found adding a small amount of lecithin to the olive oil helps maintain the emulsion (1/4 tsp.) Stones do occasionally get stuck. Vibrate, stretch, heat and flush again. Have removed probably 2 quarts of stones since I started. Many shapes, colors and sizes.
I have completed 13 flushes over the past 39 days. I am now free of about 2 cups of stones. Most of my major sypmptoms have not improved and I plan to keep on flushing.
My routine involves taking four 500 mg tabs of malic acid on the morning of a flush.. I do this since I do not do well with all that apple juice. At night I mix one cup each oil and juice and shake WELL in a jar. I take 2/3 cup of this every 20 minutes.
I use a timer and also listen to a relaxing CD while lying on my right side. Then I go to sleep. Thanks for the suggestion of heat and massage/vibration.
I also used safflower oil on about 8 of the cleanses and got the same results as with olive oil. I REALLY do not like that much olive oil. Safflower is mild, has no taste, and seems to do the job for me.
I am sure I have many flushes ahead of me ,as my sypmtoms are really not much better yet. I also had hepatitis as a kid . I also have many lipomas in my thighs and also fore arms. Since I am a slender man, they really show up........ hope a clean and healthy liver and GB might make a difference with them. Time will tell.
Keep up the flushing !
Also : one time I did a flush three nights in a row and I got out a lot of stones each time ! I am self-employed and can rest after the flushes.
I would like to point out the reason for waiting 2 weeks between flushes is to let stones move into position. It makes no sence to flush any earlier then 2 weeks apart.I feel quite shitty after flushes and would not enjoy doing them every three days to a week. The longer the wait the better the flush will be.
However, I am having good results with my program of flushing. I think health is a very individual matter and different things/timings work for different folks. I sometimes can tell that more stones are ready to come out so I do not wait for the two week timing.
There is also, to my knowledge, no scientific reason to wait two weeks! The idea that 2 weeks is needed to let the stones get into position does not make sense to me. The liver is not that large, even though it does have miles of ducts. Many posts by others mention good results with following one successful flush rather immediately with another .......
I myself have also done a flush and 3 days later done another and had FANTASTIC results and THEN I finally felt better. So this proves that in my case two weeks is not a magical figure.
So your statement/generalization that the longer you wait the better the flush will be is NOT true for me ! :)
I wish you Happy flushing regardless of how often you do it.
What made you decide to use SAFFLOWER OIL??? I hate to burst your bubble, but this may not be a very healthy thing to use. It is polyunsaturated oil, and excess quantities of these kinds of oils are cancer causing. If you need some links to more information about them, I suggest you look at Dr. Mercola's website.
Olive oil is monosaturated, much safer. Not that I am an expert, but I would highly recommend that you not use safflower oil for your flushes. Long term, this may be more damaging than healing.
Here's the info from Dr. Mercola's website, just for everybody's info:
Olive oil may help prevent colon cancer
Including olive oil in your diet may help reduce your risk of developing colon cancer, Spanish researchers suggest. Their study results showed that rats fed an olive oil-supplemented diet had a lower risk of colon cancer than those fed diets supplemented with safflower oil. In fact, the rats that received olive oil had colon cancer rates almost as low as those fed fish oil, which several studies have already linked to a reduction in colon cancer risk.
Adding olive oil to the diet has other advantages as well. There has been interest in the health benefits of olive oil for some time, but not usually with a focus on colon cancer. The cardiovascular benefits of diets higher in olive oil are well established in improving the ratio of good-to-bad cholesterol. In addition, olive oil does not promote the secretion of bile acids as many other fats do.
Animal studies have shown that a diet high in some kinds of fat (such as corn or safflower oil) increases the risk of colon cancer, which depends on both the amount of fat consumed and the type of fatty acid it contains. Additional studies have indicated that dietary fish oil inhibits or prevents colon cancer.
Rats given a diet high in safflower oil had more premalignant changes in the linings of their colons and a higher incidence of colon cancer than those fed a diet high in fish oil or olive oil. Examination of colon tissue revealed that a diet high in fish oil or olive oil reduced the bowel tissue concentrations of arachidonate, a substance that enables the formation of cancer, to a greater extent than did a diet high in safflower oil.
The authors note that previous studies showed that fish oil can slow the division of rectal cells in humans, but the effect of olive oil on colon cells has been scarcely assessed, leading them to conclude that their findings on olive oil may be of relevance. Oleic acid is the predominant fatty acid in olive oil (about 75%), but oleic acid is also found in fats that are in foods linked to cancer in animal studies, such as beef; poultry; and corn, soybean, and sunflower seed oil.
The researchers therefore believe that other components of olive oil such as squalene and flavonoid and polyphenolic compounds may have a chemoprotective effect against colon cancer.

COMMENT: Yet another reason to select olive oil as one of the major oils used in your diet.
complete madness flushing to often, you should leave 2 weeks at least until you flush..
you're body needs to recover and allow time for the bile stones to move down the ducts..
also you need to do the preparation properly apple juice or malic acid..
but to listen to some ppl flushing every other day that is crazy, you will never get the required results and you will do more harm than good
Hi there,
I also have lipomas in the same spots like thighs wrists around belly button. I was wondering if you still have them since your message in 2003 or did the flushing help you to get rid of them?
VG
The flushing marathon continues. I flushed Nov.8,Nov.14, Nov.17,and Nov.20&21. I am doing this because of almost constant pain. The flushes I did Thursday and Friday night were very simple using two Epsom Salt drinks and 3/4 cup olive oil and 3/4 cup apple juice.
On the Monday, 11/17 flush I got lots of large stones including a hard white stone, over an inch long and shaped like a jelly bean. I think it was the largest stone I ever passed. While the stone was hard, it was not solid. Inside was jade green with red veins running through it. I cut other large stones and they all had the red veins; this was the first time I noticed this. On Thursday afternoon I had some very sharp pains in my right side. I decided to do another flush that night. The next morning I passed about 20 good sized stones, very clean, no chaff, and with sharp angles. This was the first time for these stones too. There were about 100 small stones and for the first time I passed what seemed to be pure oil. Today I have passed at least 200 stones pea to lentil sized, and an huge amount of thick, acidic fluid. The pain is down to a dull ache; and although I feel very tired I am no longer feverish like I have been most of the week.
I still don't recommend flushing this often for the average person; but I now know that it can be safely done when its needed. Just don't let yourself get dehydrated.
Oh, wondering about the title of my post? I decided after many flushes to save some stones in the freezer. When I was transfering today's haul from a paper plate to the freezer container I spilled some and couldn't find them. Logic tells me they are now only a spot of oil. However my warped mind envisions guests picking up a small jade green bead, and I get to tell them what it really is :-D. I hope no body finds my 1/2 cup of frozen stones, they're labeled flax seeds.
What I always do after a flush is FIRST of all I drink a lot of water, like 3 liter, not at once, that'll give you a terrible stomach pain, because it is just too much, but divided over two hours. My experience is that you even flush more out... Then I prepare myself a mixture of Bentonite clay and psyllium fibre.
You dissolve the clay (l level tbs) in the water ( half liter), then add psyllium husk (heaping tbs) and stir, stir, stir, untill a gel-like substance is formed. Drink it. After that again: lots of water. The first bowel movement will be like the bowel cleansing pix on this site, at least for me it was... Since I do this all the time, now the clean clay-psyllium comes out in the form of my colon!!!
I think it's as good as a colonic, and way more cheaper! And it can't harm, as long as you drink plenty of water.
Take care,
