This book has stirred up so much controversy it should get an award for being the most talked about book besides Harry Potter in recent times.
I liked the book, and didn't all in one sentence. It was obvious right away that he seemed quite paranoid, and kept reffering to "they"(them) were out to get him. His writing style was arrogant. I wasn't covinced that he really "cared" about me, and I hated being reffered to as "folks" in every sentence. Now the website expense that is a whole other story! When I found out I would have to go and pay for this website I was stunned. I thought it was a free website or something and when I logged on I couldn't believe he wanted to charge me for it.
With that said, the reason I did like the book is this: I really, really never paid attention to what our FDA and FTC and Pharmaceutical companies were doing to us. It wasn't effecting my everday life, or so I thought, walking around being 50 pounds overweight. It really was an open door for me, and I have researched and learned so much since then. No, not off his website, but I was provoked to learn more. I have so many books on natural healing and remedies. I am on my second cleanse, and never realized how sick I was. I know many of you have been involved in the "natural cures" arena for years, but there are many of us that haven't. Many of us that weren't aware of what was going on. Now we probably wouldn't seek this book out if it were on the back of a shelf somewhere in our local bookstore. I bought it because it was on the huge best sellers display right at the front of the store. I never would have gone looking for it, I hadn't even heard of it! So for that I will be ever grateful that my eyes have been opened, I have learned so much and am now working on a healthy life. In spite of all his convictions, new money making schemes, court appearances and arrogant writing, I still would recommend the book.
Kevins got hutzpah!!! or as i really mean balls like a bull! I love his in your face attitude about exposing big pharma and establishment meds and I think hes a great advocate. I also dont beleive he will harm the health care revolution in anyway because holistic methods follow the simple laws of nature, which once the light is shined apon can not be discredited!
I think Kevins lack of expertise in health care makes him the perfect advocate. He can honestly say that an uniformed neophyte like himself can see the wisdom in finding alternatives to the now failing establishment health practices of cut, burn and poison!
my problem with KD is that he appears on TV with people like tammy fay baker, i mean what the - ? and he also comes across as a slick used car saleman.
lol! I see what you mean! Yah I saw tht my god she is loony but hey Kevin is on the warpath he needs all the support he can get and believe it or not tammy fay still has her followers!
But this is who Kevin is, I dont care for him personally but he is a bulldog and though I doubt it was intentional, kevin has a lot of truth behind his message! I think thats whats important and if he gives people the pause that makes them reconsider even just for a moment it jars the rocks loose and the next time someone mentions some alternative method they wont be so quick to dismiss it!
Facts and eye opening common sense is a good place to come from!
K. Trudeau talks about health based on the natural laws of science. You don't need medical training for that. Like anyone who has done a Science project in the 7th grade can attest to (ie. like one on bacteria and cleanliness in health) readily.
You need a reminder that facts stand on their own. Since you don't appear to think much of Mr. Trudeau's character remember that the VALIDITY OF A FACT does not depend on what you think the veracity of the person is, who is repeating that fact. The facts (..road to health..) K.T. points out have proven true over centuries of use, and trial and error testing by others, or scientific investigation. Facts stand on their own merit--they have their own backing rather than just K. Trudeau's word for it.
Your post makes me wonder if you are trying to convince people that you need medical training before you can talk or write something on getting on the path to health. IF, this is what you believe, then go to a university and take a look (in a library there, maybe..or student bookstore )at a medical school catalog and Schedule of Classes program and see for yourself what those classes on anatomy, inorganic & organic chemistry, computers, physics, and so on actually study--if you seek the truth rather than a con job.
People often say they don't like the personality person "X" has or the people he hangs out with, when they have another hidden reason for not liking him they don't want to disclose to the public. And why would they have to?
The latest big splash in the news was Martha Stewart (former stockbroker) who went to Anderson prison on (I believe trumped up) felony stock and/or lying charges (depending on your point of view), yet people are continuing to buy her magazine on what to eat, recipies, homes, tips on cleanliness, health and organization.
What's wrong with K.T. saying on the inside cover of his book, "Are you aware that the overwheling majority of what you eat everyday is poisoning you?" To me that sounds like a good topic to write on for grammar school or high school (either pro or con). And if someone is introduced to you as having been in prison and that person tells you there is a money connection between doctors (M.D.'s), FDA and pharmaceutical manufacturers, you wouldn't wonder why he said that, and want to find out?
Borrow his book, read it, and then attack the message and not the messenger.
(..one of CureZone's motto's, by the way..)
definitions for those who find them useful:
adept...one skilled in any art
........expert
con...slang..confidence..(adjective) Example: Each gang member in the jewelry ring was adept at the con games used to bring in and snare the unwary and were constantly polishing their skills.
valid...sound
........well grounded
........capable of being justified
..(in law)...legally sound
..(in law).........executed with the proper formalities
And why is Trudeau a felon? because he used the word "Cure" a word made illegal by those in the business of treating disease, creating lifetime customers and not curing people! doesnt take much to become a felon in america these days!
I'm not sure of all the details but I beleive he was prosecuted and persicuted along with Dr.Robert Barefoot for claiming coral calcium, through its alkalizing effects, can 'cure' up to 200 diseases! The medical mafia declared war on both of them!
that should not have bothered them. one of the leading killers in this country is poisoning by calcium. unless it was interfering with one of their favorite poisoning techniques, maybe thats it!? it certainly is not to protect the public. they could do that by stopping the lies of the american dairy council, or stopping some of the money scams for research into cancer, MD, MS, AIDS, etc
And don't forget, since January is in the midst of the flu $eason, the reverse of what you said can be done also--make the ILLEGAL, legal. It's amazing that with the scrutiny of the FTC and the noble purpose of the FDA, that neither one sees anything being rigged, when Congress passes law(s) to prevent vaccine maufacturers from being sued in court by the people they have devasted/killed.
They want it illegal for those attacked (healthwise) to attack the attackers back.
(They simply refrain from calling such actions a felony. Keep everyone in a happy mood...so no one will do the opposite of what they want..so the newspapers can keep saying that there's no need for alarm..no need to read books similar to Trudeau's..no need for Colon Cleanses , herbs..no need, no need,no need.)
No, Trudeau is a felon because of credit card fraud. You may want to check out his checkered past before defending his character. He's the kind of guy that will do anything to make a buck. Do you really think his motivation for selling his book is your good health? Perhaps, but that runs a distant second to his interest in getting rich.
Well then why dont you inform us instead of just bashing ! Besides it seems someone takes on the establishment they then become criminals for some reason or another!
However whatever they say he did his book is not a co conspiriator and has absolutely nothin to do with his "checkered "past!
Im not such a purest or prude that I would ignore perfectly sound advice because of someones past! What Trudeas book does is expose criminal activity in our medical establishment and their attempts to hide healing methods form those in need! They are the real criminals and the harm they have caused dwarfs the silly escapades of one guy! Get real man and look at the real story, not what the distractors of holistic medicine tell you !
Before you get so outraged, maybe you would want to have a reality check. Any person who spends some time on this site most probably knows about the benefit of natural cures. And believe it or not KT is a convicted felon because of credit card frauds. And I do really beleive that he uses the book as primarily a money making business, maybe then, that is a maybe, he might be conserned about my and your well being. Hey, I bought the book for 29.99 + 9.99 S & H, and then I had to pay for a membership for his website, 9.99 a month, to get information I could easily get on CZ for free.
His book is a good outline and well organized guide to health. You cannot compare his book's information to the millions of posts on this CZ forum and say that you can get the same info on here. You'd be sifting through all the posts on this web site for months and years on end to not even come close to the same information that Kevin Trudeau gives in his book.
I'm not saying you need medical training to write a book on nutrition. It's obvious you don't need an M.D to write a book on eating well and healthy living and still have people respect your opinions. I am saying, however, that Trudeau has a less than ethical past - thats's a fact. In my opinion, it is valid to judge a person on his past behavior. Since this guy has been in prison for fraud and had other run-ins with the law, I choose not to respect his opinion - call me a cynic.
I believe Trudeau's next book should be an expose on the so-called Conspiracy between the medical establishment, the FDA, and the pharmaceutical industry to keep people from getting well. He seems to have deep insight into this matter. If his intention is to help people get well he could it much more effectively by exposing this unholy alliance. Also, he'd sell a lot of books in the process. Maybe it's in his interest to keep this conspiracy intact, though. It does make a convienient antagonist.
if he had conventional "medical" training, he would not be promoting natural cures. As far as being a ex-con, there are many stories of ex-cons (including murders) that have turned their lives around and went on to promote POSITIVE issues.Who knows, maybe you bought your car from a wife beater with no mechanical training. As far as it being "beyond" you, I'd agree!
It is always wise to be informed when it comes to matters of our health. But if all this book does is offer a possible alternative to traditional medical care and hospital stays it may by definition by good for your health. Medical care is the third largest cause of death in the United States, and that percentage is based only on what is reported. Because a lot of medical errors are only reported by the medical doctors themselves, the numbers are very underrepresented. The vast majority of people you talk with know someone who has died or been injured by medical care. Do you know anyone who died from a Colon Cleanse ? This is not to suggest that care for traumatic injuries or crisis care should be delayed. But in other cases, why not investigate ways of working with your body's intelligence instead of against it first?
Just consider it as a possibility...
