Grapefruit seed extract is very bitter - I'm not sure if a cat will take it. Perhaps one or two drops in his/her water dish.
It is taught that it is a very powerful virus and bacterial killer. Just adding a few drops to a litre of water is supposed to kill any microbes that may be present!
It has a very potent sour taste! To me anything that tastes like that must kill potent germs! (ha ha)

Put 4 drops in a capsule, and give it to the cat just after feeding it a snack. This is great for animal ears, internally and topically. You have to dilute the GFSE if you are going to use it in the ear.
I use it all the time for my two dogs. It cured the larger dog of an on-going ear infection that the Vet could not even cure. I spent 1000.00 on vet bills over a period of three years for this crazy ear infection. I diluted three drops of GFSE in with 8 drops of water, and then added it to the dog’s ear three times a day. Within a few days, the infection was gone!!! It has never been back since. This was over a year ago.
I would suggest that you try putting one drop of GSE in a small amount of really smelly canned cat food and mixing it well. You may even want to warm up the cat food a little. The easiest way is to run hot water on the unopened can for a few minutes.
Do not put it straight into his mouth. Undiluted GSE can burn mucous membranes, which include mouth and stomach. Putting four drops into a capsule and forcing that down him does not sound like a good idea to me at all. When the capsule would dissolve in his stomach it could burn his stomach mucous membranes.
Thanks for the posts - actually, I have three little girls with whiskers (kitties) and I have been putting a couple of drops into their water bowl (which is a 2 quart GLASS mixing bowl)
I also put two drops into a six ounce can of wet food which I mix up real well and then divide into three portions. However, I do have one baby who has arthritis and some recent allergies - she continually washes her paws like crazy - well I put two drops into three ounces of lukewarm water, stirred it like crazy to mix it up and then took cotton balls and wiped the solution on her little paws. Well, this was yesterday and the difference is unbelievable - the licking stopped at least 80%.
I will use a dilution which I saw on their website and give her a dropperful every day - it is a big dilution so there is no fear. Now, I wish it would stop my damned sinus attack which I have been suffering with for two weeks. I have been irrigating several times a day with the spray but there seems to be no end to the mucous that comes out everytime I irrigate. I have never, ever experienced such pain or anything like this before in my life.
Any suggestions or advice from your experience would be appreciated.

I encapsulate the GSE liquid in "00" vegicaps and take 3 times a day with a lot of water. It causes it to go systemic and prevents alot of illness. I no longer have any sinus, ear or lung problems, which were very severe before I began doing this a few years ago. I probably don't need to use it this way anymore or even this often, but I feel invincable to all germs and illness when I am taking it. Case in point being the terrible virus that hit our area ( Ocala, Florida )and was putting even healthy 18 to 24 year olds in the E.R. for rehydration. My daughter (18) lost 10 lbs in 1 week from vomiting etc..

Concering the mind/body connection: I did read Bernie Seigal's book and made some changes in my life after reading it. He had some practical insights. I actually interviewed Deepak Chopra many years ago for a magazine article. I read his books also. Actually I was a new age teacher for over 10 years, and studied/practiced most of the spiritual/mind techniques that were out there. I participated in most of the major eastern religions, and most of the new age techniques and approaches, including applying Deepak's info. I taught in colleges, spas, adult ed, etc. I was on the radio, written about in the newspaper, etc. However, I honestly did not experience much of anything other than frustration because of lack of results and lack of power. I did not see any real, lasting, positive results in anyone else I knew either. I saw a lot of very unhappy people trying to look happy.

Eating Animal foods: Concerning eating animal foods, do you use digestive enzymes? Your body may not be digesting well, but that does not mean it does not need the nutrition in these animal foods. I take absorbaid with every meal, and if there is fat in the meal I take a bile acid capsule by Jarrow. That has made a big difference!
Juicing: If you are juicing, please read an article we wrote on juicing with immune problems. I really believe that it's essential to be careful with simple carbs and sugars. Juicing - even just veggies - needs to be done with that in mind. I'll post the link below.
Cleansing: For me what has been effective has been to start with a Colon Cleanse with Oxy-powder. This worked great (I'd tried many other colon cleanse techniques and this worked the best), was easy and comfortable. Once the colon is clean, I was able to handle detoxing much better. I did the Hulda Clark liver flushes. They worked great for me. The first two times I got rid of lots of stones, though my ultrasound did not show anything. It definitely helped my health, and my blood tests looked better.
Now I am doing a parasite cleanse. The order really should be colon cleanse, parasite, liver. However, I was having bad gall bladder symptoms and went right to that. I feel the recommended order is best though.
Oxygen: Flood your body with oxygen is the title of Ed McCabes book. He believes that we should just simply do that. I use a medical grade ozone machine and do insufflation (gas in the rectum which is supposed to impact the blood, vagina which is supposed to impact the lymphatic system, and ears, and I make and drink ozonated water which also cleanses the gut.) I also take Oxy-powder nightly. I used it for cleansing, but now I use it for the oxygen and to keep my bowels moving.
Using food grade peroxide is another, cheaper way to get some oxygen, but it did not agree with me. There are some inexpensive ozone machines that are for making water, and I would do that over using peroxide, but some folks like it. Look at the oxygen therapies board on curezone.
I read on the web that ozone is being used for AIDs and other immune problems, as well as cancer. I've talked to folks who use it as a primary part of their cancer protocol.
All I know is it makes me feel MUCH better. We wrote in more detail about these things. I'll post the link below.

The reason why you would not want to just add one drop of GSE to your pets food is, because this is not enough for most animals. right now your cats are babies, and one drop may work out for you, but in the future, more drops may be needed more frequently throughout the day. I am not so sure cats will like the taste of 4 or more drops of GSE in their food 4 times a day. When you are finished adding the desired amount of GSE to the gel capsules, rub a little olive oil on to it; administer it to the animal. When you insert the capsule in the animals mouth, make sure it is inserted to one side of the throat. Then close the animals mouth for just a few seconds. After this, feed the animal a nice juicy treat.

I love this site, because, compared to others, you have real "professionals" here keeping an eye on everything and it is certainly, reassuring.
Now, I would like to ask one question. Although I follow alternative medicine and I do try to follow a "healty life" (even my three little girls (( they are cats )) have a homeopatich veterinarian) I am currently on ""DRUGS"" for high blood pressure. I avoid drugs like the plaque but could not avoid taking these.
I am a vegetarian in addition to air purifiers, only healthy drinking water, etc.
My question is this - on a recent site some posted on the subject of GSE that YOU SHOULD NOT TAKE IT IF YOU HAVE HYPERTENSION. Is this true?
I did notice the first few times I used it to irrigate my sinuses that my blood pressure did in fact fall to 120/70 which is a miracle. But that did not continue.
I am trying to drain my sinuses "naturally" rather than getting that stuff called "" Sinefrin - Bunefrin - something like that which my doctor told me to get and that it would DRY up my sinuses. Is that what we want to do?
