Hi guys. My boyfriend has just visited the dentist - and like most dentists - she told him he has a problem. He appears to have some sort of gum disease where the gums bleed and they are receding away from the teeth. She took xrays, i assume to check that the bone was not infected - god forbid - and the results are not in yet. but she thinks he will have to have surgery.... what the hell??? what are they going to do? take out all his teeth or slice off some of the gums as i have heard is done for gum disease.
I am trying to persuade him to get a waterpick, he is quitting smoking and i will try and get him on one of the herbal/ Colloidal Silver solutions that i have found... but i am not sure what i can get here, as we are living in Slovakia at the moment and i cant even find cayenne pepper.
Is there anything that anyone has done that works?? Please help, i am worried he will go and take the blasted anitbiotics the dentist proscribed and take the surgery.
Hi Leah. I just came back not long ago from the dentist with a bad report as well. My gums are receding and coming apart from the teeth, bleed, the hygenist who cleaned my teeth said I had peridontal disease and lots of cavities too. I had bought a couple of ebooks in a package together from the site below, Money by the Mouthful and Dental Self-Suffiency so I poured over them. WOW what a prize, highly recommended. Money was a good book, but was more about dentists and the harm they cause than how to stop dental disease. Self-Suffiency told you how to 100% get rid of dental disease as long as you followed the simple cleaning procedure each night and told you why which give you the motivation to want to. So I went and bought dental tape (like floss), a sonic toothbrush, and a waterpik-like device. Besides his program I have also added brushing with coconut oil, using food grade hydrogen peroxide in the waterpik, and am going to buy Dr. Schultz's Tooth and Gum formula pretty soon. My gums already look about 75% better! They were awfully red on the bottom especially. My teeth still hurt when I chew, but I am not sure if it is from the cleaning or not because they didn't hurt before she cleaned them execpt for a couple of them. I had never had them cleaned so...she was pretty rough.
I bought an Interplak by Conair at K-Mart for $20 and it had all the same attachments as waterpik, the same two year warranty, just didn't look as fancy and it works great. The waterpik brand cost $40 so it saved a lot...If you can not find a waterpik in your area I would buy the Interplak for you and ship it to you if you like. By the time you pay shipping prices it might not save you much from the waterpik price, but he'd have something to clean his teeth with really well...I have five gallons of virgin coconut oil so I could send you some of that too if you'd like for nothing. Coconut oil has really wonderful properties, it is anti-viral and anti-parisitical. Several people that belong to the coconut oil group I am a member of said it has done wonders for their mouth, the gums especially. Just let me know if I could be of help...hope this helps a bit, Caitlin Lorraine
Thanks!! I know the dental industry is a bit like the doctors, i havent been to a dentist myself except to make sure there are no holes and he is a good one, not doing anything unneccessarily. My boyfriend has luckily not seen dentists much either. He has no fillings or root canals, so that is GOOD news. He is so depressed though, he is convinced he will lose his teeth, and thinks i am deranged for trying to help him herbally, but is willing to give anything a try thankfully.
Which country are you in though? Shipping is expensive to Slovakia... they dont even have health food stores here. The revolution hasnt hit yet.
Do you know anything about using Colloidal Silver ? i have a unit here, so can make some and have done. he is rinsing and cleaning his teeth with it. I hope it helps.
I will see whether the waterpick can be found here and the ingredients for Dr. Schulze s formula, so i will let you know if your extra help will be needed, and thankyou so much for the offer!! Very kind.
Right, off to the shops then.
Aye, the dentists are just as bad as doctors--in some cases I wonder if worse? Nah, probably equally bad...Taking and burning his gums off is not going to help his body heal in any way! It is not a good solution for sure! And pulling all his teeth? Just dumb.
I know how he feels, I have no fillings or root canals either, but was so sad after visiting the dentist--I just feel so overwhelmed to get my mouth in better shape. I never knew how bad a shape it was in, I only had one tooth that hurt. Now that she cleaned them several teeth hurt! I hurts just to chew salad. :( As soon as I sell a couple things on ebay I will be buying Schultz's formula. I was reading the description of it last night and it said it will help bone loss, I wondered if it will heal the cavities I have at the bottom of my six back molars? I am hoping. I'm not going to the dentist till I give my program a good six months to do the trick. Except for maybe this back wisdom tooth, it is almost gone from cavity. It didn't hurt till she cleaned it though!! Ouch. I'm only 21, but all the kidney trouble I have had over the years I guess produced a lot of acid. :( Oh well, on to the future of taking better care of them now. Cause I want my teeth for life! I want to get by without any plastic fillings even.
I know if I had not read Dr. Nara's book, I would not be near as optimistic, it gave me the knowledge to know that your teeth can heal themselves--just like the rest of the body, if you clear out the disease.
You are welcome, anything to help. In looking for Dr. Schultz's ingredients if you cannot fing oak gall, I was reading on his forum just last night that you can use White Oak Bark, that they are very similiar. Best of luck in saving his teeth! :)
Well, he thinks i am insane, but he is willing to give it a try - anything to avoid surgery. i just hope they start to get better before he goes back to the dentist... u know what some people are like, they can be so persuaded by authority figures like that. its happened to me a few times too!!
was given some good advice on other forums,
swish with Colloidal Silver , take calcium, vit c, magnesium, boron, vit D, vit A and coQ10, as well as phosphate. check out the first anti flouride link blueduck posted in this thread, it tells u to brush with soap... haha, cheapest thing ive heard yet!!
cayenne pepper is supposed to be good too, so i will make him brush with that, bicarb soda, ginger, anything hot which brings blood back until i can buy the Schultz ingredients.
thanks for the good luck, im hoping!! and best of luck in your crusade to "keep the teeth"!
Stop using regular store bought tooth paste. It has all kinds of garbage in it. Don't let the dentist do flouride treatments either. I have not had my teeth cleaned by a damn dentist since 1987 and do not plan to. All it does is bust up the enamel and make cavities so they can charge you to put in their poison mercury amalgams.
thanks, i will tell him. although he is STILL of the school that believes flouride is a good thing. also, he has only been to a dentist maybe twice in the last 15 years, has no fillings or root canals, so thats a start at least.
