this is sort of a continuation of my previous post, trying to figure out where i am going now..
Basically, I was feeling like the p&bs were not working well for me--when i first started, i was getting out huge bm's, and even when i felt i was a bit dehyrdated, they were coming out anyway! (with much force!) this part felt good, and this was only 1/day. then after a week or so, i continued one p&b a day but my bms were just coming out really compacted. i tried lots to get things moving and it helped a bit but bms were small, compacted, and not so frequent. with 3 p&bs /day it seemed i didnt go much at all without enemas! and then even enemas ca be habit forming, so i felt weird about that.
i was wondering if maybe my body just adapted somehow to this new stuff, and after that it just had a slow, constipating effect?
for now i'm trying to focus on digestion with probiotics and enzymes and hope that the colon catches up to its usual pace!! prior to the cleanse i had regular bms but they were often watery or sticky. now they are just hard to come by, and always heavy & compacted. planning on doing paragone for a month with the recommended fiber to get back on track.
anyone else have problems with the p&bs? maybe it is the parasite effect?? (pretty sure i still have pinworms) i'd like to continue the bowel cleanse in the future but it seems too much for me right now.
It sounds like you might have tried to progress too quickly with the shakes. Sometimes...especially if the bowel muscle is weak...it can take several weeks on the lowest dose before your body can adjust to higher amounts of fiber. Think of it this way...the fiber (along with sufficient water) helps to tone the muscle by working it harder. If you give it too much fiber the muscle becomes taxed...just like when you jump into an intense exercise program when you're really out of shape. Anytime you increase the number of shakes and notice a decline in your colon functioning you should drop back to the level that was giving you the best results.
Hi, thanks for all your advice, Ptree. I'm going to start another fiber product for a little while here, then maybe i can start with the psillium and Bentonite again in the future when i am a bit more "in shape"!
