I heard that Andy Cuttler says in his book that those with mercury toxicity ( as in from amalgam fillings ) whould not do the liver cleanse because it is too hard on the already taxed liver.
Is this true?
Also what if your liver enzymes are high but you have no other symptoms. Can you flush a damaged liver?
Not cleansing the liver much harder on the liver than cleansing it. Much of the trapped the toxic metal would be extreted along with the bile and stones. To prevent suffocation and collapse of the liver, I woulnd't think twice about it. However, in such a case, it is important to cleanse the kidneys first (see my book The Amazing Liver Cleanse for directions).
Lets say, if you can get through the cleanse and be successful, you weren't too sick to do it. It is hard to tell where the limit is. Acute health problems cause the most difficulties. Chronic illness rarely do. Lots of people with cancer have great cleanses, but having someone do it who has the flu or a migraine attack is virtually impossible.
