How to remove freckles/brown spots with nutrition? by  pixiepoet  10 year  1,929  Ask Agnes&Bob4[A] I have freckles on my face only, they appeared after puberty. I wear suncreen and have tried Retinol creams, hydroquinone, AHA, etc... I don't want to use temporary/topical creams, I want to get to the root of it. I get the gut feeling that it is due to liver problems or a vitamin deficiency. All the females in our family line have them only on the face. My mom said that she got rid of her freckles in her 20's temporarily by some Chinese herbs meant for the liver that she doesn't remember. I have done 5 liver cleanses. Add To Favorites! Basically any anti-herb study I've ever seen has ALWAYS reported on issues with the herb when and only when combined with a prescription med! Add To Favorites! Nevertheless, the presence of many freckles goes hand-in-hand with having fair skin, which is a risk factor for skin cancer. I don't see much research on them but the fact that you're at further risk for skin cancer indicates something not functioning adequately. I'd have a super clean diet and try some of the cleanses to see if they do improve. Add To Favorites!
