Well, this is freaking me out! I only urinated in the toilet, flushed and
went away. Then, about an hour later, I went to the bathroom, and before I
could sit down, I saw a live brown worm sqirming in the toilet! Yuk! I
don't know if it came from me or not, since I had already gone and flushed
from the previous bathroom use. It was brownish-burgundyish about an inch
long and had a black tip. It looked translucent, like I could see through
it if I tried, but still with the mentioned colors. It looked live and
well. It was squirming around in the toilet. Unfortunately, I flushed it
(kicking myself about it now).
Anyone have any similar experiences, or advice-opinion, it would be greatly
appreciated.
I am majorly concerned about if this actually came from my body, and if so,
what kind of worm it is. I looked at the pics from curezone, and didn't
find anything that exactly matched, so I wonder if it may be just a weird
looking earthworm, but it just seems too strange that it would be in my
toilet after I used it. ugh!
sounds kinda like what i found the other day in my bm. i am not sure what mine was. mine didn't look like any of the pics either:(. i'm thinking it might have been either a round worm or whip worm but just guessing. if i find anything else out i will let you know:) i just started the Clarkia cleanse yesterday and haven't found anything else as of yet but also have been constipated and haven't had a bm either since i started the cleanse so things might get interesting once i finally do go LOL.
Thanks for the response. I looked up whipworm and roundworm on Google images. The whipworm looked very similar, but the roundworm didn't. I see my gastro doc soon and will drop that on him, that helps a lot.
If you do find anything else, please do post, I am on to get all responses to this post.
I hope long term Curezonians will forgive me for repeating my story, but here it is. I had completed my 17th Liver Flush and found some fragments of parasites in some unusually large stones. I had broken them in half to see if they were solid stones or clumps of small ones. I did some research and began taking garlic, cayenne pepper, and raw pumpkin seeds for a "homemade" parasite cleanse. About a week later I was still feeling ill and blaming the liver flush. I did a white vinegar enema and out came an 18 inch long tapeworm! I was horrified and disgusted. I got up the courage to fish out the thing and look at it. When I saw the-I guess you would call it a mouth or sucker- on its "head" I freaked out and flushed it. I sure regretted doing that. Anyway, that night I went on line and ordered Parastroy. I had a doctor's appointment a few days later and the Naturopath also gave me some enzymes and a homeopathic solution to use with the herbs. I passed some more Tapeworm fragments, but not another whole worm.
About halfway through my parasite cleanse I began using psyllium and Bentonite shakes to clean out my colon, I was having some pretty severe die-off symptoms. About the third day of P&Bs, I had a bowel movement of three feet of hard rubbery mucoid plaque embedded with dozens of white and red-orange worms. I could not believe I was harboring such stuff. The next day I passed four feet of stool. The first foot or two was mucoid plaque, although there were only a few worms in it, the rest was what I assume was the swollen bentonite and psyllium being passed. At the end of the cleanse I took the CoQ10 megadose, but did not notice any results from it.
I have done another cleanse recently using Paragone, but did not see any sign of parasites. Anyway, that is my horror story. I lost five pounds the day I passed the three feet of wormy mucoid plaque. I was so glad to get rid of that.
I am still fighting to regain my health, however getting those parasites out made a huge difference in the way I feel. I think they may have been a factor in lowering my immune system and my inability to overcome this chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia pain that has plagued me for a little over two years.
Thanks for repeating the story. I am a bit confounded, as I took meds (natural) for parasites, and nothing ever came out, so I had settled in my mind that there was none, only to find that worm in the toilet! ugh!
I have done 4 liver flushes, and the last one had very few stones, so I stopped. I do remember the second and third one having huge stones, but when I broke them, I saw nothing, it is interesting you did.
Can you give directions for a white vinegar enema?
I have heard of people passing large amounts of mucoid plaque. I even tried Arise and Shine, but wasn't ready for the fasting and vegetarian part yet. I am very glad you got that stuff out of you, I plan to do another cleanse for the entire intestine after I find out what is up with this worm-thing. Also, I had a colonscopy a year ago and will ask the doc if everything looked nice and pink and clear in there. I think that will give me a good idea of the stuff that may be stuck on my large intestine, though that still leaves the small unexplored, but Arise and Shine will get it all.
I have heard many mention the Coq10, I am going to try that very soon (after I see my gastro).
Thanks again for the inf. You gave me a lot to think about.
Hey, maybe I should do the CO-Q10 megadose ahead of time to see if I can get a worm to show the doc?!?!!??!
Mix two or three tablespoons of white vinegar into 1 1/2-2 quarts of pure (not tap) warm water. I use white vinegar because I read that the raw apple cider vinegar I use for most things can occasionally contain a mold that can be absorbed by the colon and cause problems in some people. I have enough problems, so I use the white or pasturized apple cider vinegar for enemas. Use an old fashioned enema bag (available at Walmart for about $5.00) and insert as much fluid as you can comfortably hold. Void that and keep repeating the filling and voiding until all the water is used. If you are new to enemas or tend to be constipated, then do a plain water enema first to flush out your lower bowel.
I had been doing Bowel Cleanses off and on for a year and never passed any mucoid plaque until that time. I think if you have it, it will come out when its ready. I think the digestive enzymes the doctor gave me was one reason I've had such a good release. They were very expensive and I haven't bought any more. Next time I do a Colon Cleanse I think I will try a bottle of a less expensive brand and see if I can duplicate the results.
About the CoQ10-I don't know if you will pass the worms, or if its just supposed to kill them systemicly. I didn't see any results from my dose.
Thank you for the inf. I will consider them both (enema and Q-10). I didn't think about constipated people (like myself) emptying out the lower bowel first. I have had a hard time with enemas lately (too much trips to the bathroom before I can get enough water in) so that may be the answer to the issue I have been having.
I had the same exact experience. Two times. I had a stool sample come back normal and a doctor think I was crazy. BUt then two weeks after the first There was another in the toilet. Sounds the same as you described. Always awhile after I had been in the bathroom and flushed. I have not noticed any itching or other symptoms that are obvious to me. Please let me know what you found out.
Thanks Christina
I haven't seen any since, but I keep looking. I forgot to tell my gastro when I last saw him, but I will be questioning him on it the next visit this month.
I am still considering taking an anti-parasite supplement, but not till after all my testing is done.
I had this happen also- some time after flushing a thin brown worm was swimming in the toilet. It was about 4" long, with little pointy things that prodruded and retracted from what I guess was the front end. Also two little sticky pads on each side that allowed it to adhere to the walls of the jar I collected it in. Perhaps this allowed it to remain clinging to the bowl through the flush? I have so far found no reference to worms that get into your toilet in other fashion, and it seems hard to believe that a worm swimming so happily in a liquid environment could transport itself through the air, or up the air filled column in the sewer pipe that leads into the trap. I could not identify the worm from any web photos on this site or others.
I preserved the worm in isopropyl alcohol, and it shrunk to less than an inch long and became quite stubby. I've been trying to get the thing IDed with little success, so far the only feedback from the lab is "not consistent with common human parasites", and "we can't give you any information, you have to go through your doctor" who I can never get ahold of and basically ignores me. Since a report did not accompany this statement I have no confidence that they did anything other than look at it in some off-handed way. I am trying to retrieve the worm since it's the only sample I have and deliver it to a lab that might actually do some work, maybe if I pay for the tests out of pocket I can control the process a little better.
Anyway that's my plan, I'll post what I find out. Any suggestions are welcome. I intend to pursue the standard western medicine approach to it's full extent before trying any of the cleansing approaches, but I'm about done with them after 2 years of various gastro problems for which they have failed to assist me.
I was sort-of hoping that another one would show up so I could save it and take it to the doctor, but none so far. However, from what I am seeing of your experience, this may have not done me any good! Still, I wish I could have had it, taken a picture and scanned it on the computer so I could at least have it. If it ever happens again, I will get some shots and save and take it to the doc.
I am sorry you are having so much trouble with it. I would think the lab would at least be able to ID it!
Have you considered Great Smokies Lab? I hear they are good at tests for stool, et. so I am thinking they may be good for possibly ID'ing the worm.
I also have had little success with my digestive problems in the MD range. I use herbs to treat my symptoms, but no healing has taken place. The only difference I have ever noticed was when I eliminated things from my diet, but I think for worms, I will have to use some type of cleanse from the health food store.
Please do post if you find out what it was, or if you can, I would love to see a picture of it. Either way, I would like to find out what happens.
This is an old post but I just had this experience. Was shocked to see a 3-4 " very thin dark pink worm wiggling in the toilet. I flushed it away. I have no idea what is was and it freaks me out. I am embarrassed to ask my doctor.
