I want to take Dr. Schultze L/GB antiparasite formula because this has really helped me before.
I am afraid of Hulda's Liver Flush right now, since the last time I did it I became MUCH sicker and haven't recovered since (it's been about six months). Before I had flushed I was actually feeling alot better since having gone 100% raw vegan.
I know my liver needs lovin', so I think the Schultze formula could do the same job in a different, less invasive way. HOWEVER, his L/GB formula doesn't contain Cloves. These are only found in his Liver detox tea that he wants you to take along with it. But I would like to save money and just take the L/GB formula --if only it had cloves!
Is there a GOOD clove tincture I could find somewhere that I could just add to the L/GB formula?
The following link will take you to a site that sells clove tincture, you could also make your own.
To make an alcohol tincture, combine 4 ounces of the powdered or finely cut herb with 1 pint of spirits, such as brandy, vodka, or gin, in a large glass jar or jug with a secure fitting lid (Never use rubbing or isopropyl alcohol, or methyl or wood alcohol, both of which are poisonous!) Shake the mixture several times daily over a two week period. By the end of this time, the herb will have released its properties to the alcohol. Let the herb settle, then strain off the liquid into another clean, amber or dark colored glass bottle for storage, label and store in a cool, dry place.
Commercial herb marketers typically use pure grain alcohol, (everclear) which is 198 proof. On the other hand, home tincture makers tend to use 100 - proof vodka or brandy. Vodka is the least expensive of the three options. The standard tincture recipe they might use calls for one ounce of dried herb steeped in five ounces of distilled spirits for two to six weeks.
