I don't hear too many people here talking about Sea-Salt flushing. I think it happens to be one of the most amazing, multi-purpose things I've ever done. I've been doing them every weekend, Saturdays and Sundays and since this weekend, I had four days off, I did it all four days.
For anyone who's never heard of it: get unprocessed, non-additive sea-salt - it will say both those things on the package and it will be slightly gray in colour and will tend to clump together (because there's been no anti-clumping chemical added to it).
You take three teaspoons and mix it with four cups of water. Use just a bit of water in a pot and heat it up just enough to dissolve the salt, then add the rest.
Do this in the morning first thing and only on a completely empty stomach. Okay, you're not supposed to, but I have a cup of coffee first - I mean please! - then I wait about 30 min. for even the coffee to be gone from my stomach.
So then you just drink it all. I don't think it tastes bad at all, in fact I think it tastes great, but I didn't the first time. After you finish it, wait about 10-15 mins. and then drink some normal water. I usually drink about 4 more cups myself.
About 30-60 mins. later you will have to go to the bathroom - this goes on and off for about an hour or so. The first times it takes longer than it does if you've done it a few times.
Now here's the cool part for me:
1. The salt goes in and draws toxins from everywhere, organs, tissue, GI tract and brings it out. You will be empty after this. You probably won't have to have another bowel movement for awhile. It really cleans you out.
2. People use the apple juice to flush out stagnant bile from the liver and yes, this does work. But so does the sea-salt cleanse for this. The last trips to the bathroom are mostly bile (at least for me, but I don't have a gallbladder, so it might be different for others)
3. About 75% of the times I've done this, if I do it more than one day, meaning at least two days in a row, I see liver flukes at the end - the rolled up tomato ones - and I'm not even on a parasite cleanse. So I think it makes a GREAT way to colon cleanse, parasite cleanse, liver cleanse and general detox cleanse.
That is soo Kool. Sea Salt (Redmonds) tastes great. I've been doing the same thing and all seems to be ok.... No liver flukes, but have been eating a lot of tomaties lates, you know NY tomatoe season... I ain't giving up something that is only around a fre weeks...... But he salt water flush does work and I applaud you. Good going GIRL!!!
I have one questions. I have done the SWF a few times, but I thought, or rather I have read, that we are suppose to use 2 teaspoons in 32 oz of water. Is it 2 or 3? I have read that the amount is important because it will determine if the salt stays bound to the water thru the digestive tract, or something like that. I have had very good flushes with 2, but if it is incorrect, I'd go up to 3 if necessary.
