Has anyone researched ph balancing and parasites? I did some reading about ph today, and read that too much acid a better environment for parasites (and most of us are too acidic).
I also found (in yet another book) that parsley is good for restoring the alkaline levels (I might just start drinking my dogs parsley water!!).
Well, for the dog I put a bunch of parsley in a quart of boiling water for 3 minutes, no longer than that so the nutrients are kept intact, and (cooled) give her 1 tsp (or more) with her food each night.
What I have found so far is parsley is great for restoring the alkaline balance, is a very gentle kidney cleanse and a good antioxident (best source of vitamin c and rich in b vitamins).
For my own use, I think I would juice, or add fresh chopped in the last few minutes of cooking soup, or sprinkled over salad. I guess it would be great to add to the water the last few minutes of boiling veggies like potatoes, enhancing the flavors. (Logically, it seems that using parsley would be the same as adding vitamin c powder to cooking as Dr. Clark suggests). Just don't cook it more than a few minutes.
I eat a lot of cilantro, too, it helps clean heavy metals out of your system. I make a batch of hummus every couple of weeks, and sprinkle lots of cilantro on top of it.
I just love these forums! There's so many good links and bits of info shared, and I find it very exciting that it all ties together to make sense!
