Hi Mutt girl,
I also experience these nerve sensations, and Im always taking anti-fungals as well. Im not sure maybe its the toxins kicking up in your system. I think exercise and water are key to helping these symptoms. Keep moving and flushing the best way you can for yourself. Doreen.
That's a sure sign of a congested liver, and it totally makes sense that it would happen after you eat oils and fats, not sure why the probiotics tho except that it stirs up the microbes which can have a lot of different affects.
Have you done a gallbladder/liver flush yet? Candida really stresses out the liver, so it's important to cleanse and tonify it.
If you don't want to do a complete flush, or have already done one, then what you want to do is take herbs/vitamins to cleanse/tonify. There's a list in the Liver Flush FAQ , at www.liverdoctor.com and at www.sensiblehealth.com.
I take Chinese Bitters now, and I found a good herbal compound at my health food store called Planetary System's Liver Support. It has bupluerum, milk thistle, etc. Great stuff.
It also helps to supplement with MSM as sulphur helsp your body detox and metabolize toxins, and pancreatic enzymes so you can digest fats and proteins better.
My partner is dealing with a systemic yeast problem spanning 20 years now. He has been doing cleanses since March and is now experiencing exruciating pain and swelling and redness in his ankles and knees. We think it may be a result of the toxins trying to leave his body, any one else have any clues?
It puzzles me that people have candidiasis for years. Not to brag but I brought mine into balance in just three months of a no-junk, no-sugar, no-fruit diet. All I did was supplement with liver-supporting herbs and probiotics and did lots of bowel management, including P&B shakes, enemas and colonics.
Has he done any bowel management at all? That is always the first thing you should do, while changing your diet. Next is drinking plenty of water and cutting out any other drinks - no soda, no coffee, not even decaf. Just herbal tea and water.
Once the bowels are clean, then do a liver flush. I don't recommend the MC for candida, it's too much maple syrup. I never had more than one tbls of maple syrup or brown rice syrup when I was on my candida diet.
The pain and swelling is not indicative of a healing crisis, they are indicative of sickness, period. He's got to cleanse his liver, and in such a way that the bile released doesn't simply re-circulate. That's the problem with the way people do the Liver Flush - they leave it up to the Epsom Salts to take the bile out of their system, and that's just not enough. Bile is only taken out of circulation with fiber, colonics and enemas.
So if he's been doing lots of liver flushes, have him stop, and use liver-supporting herbs instead, such as bupluerum, chinese gentien, milk thistle, etc. He needs to take a full spectrum of herbs, not just one or two, and in addition, B vitamins, esp. folic acid and niacin, and MSM. Coqe10 would be good too. Get an enema bucket setup so he can do deep cleansing - enema bags just clean out about 1/3 of the colon. Or get a series of colonics, whatever is easiest.
We only tried yeast cleansing recently. He's been in and out of the hospital since he was 12 due to a severe heat stroke, he has had several biopsies done on nodes that form in him internally with no revelation. He has scar tissue all over his internal organs and suffers from severe digestive problems, excessive night sweats, fevering and joint and muscle pain to mention the most prevelant.
That's great that you were able to clear yourself up so fast, but it seems to me that in this situation we have to go slow, he is very sensitive to many things. His diet consists of organic vegetables, no wheat or dairy, no red meat or fish etc etc, He only drinks RO water, about 8 glasses per day. He takes a restorative complex which has all of the multi vits, NAG, l glutamine, acidophilus etc etc, plus he take mega doses of acidophilus.he is doing all of the right things. He's been using a cleanse called Renew Life, it doesn't use psyllium or bentonite, we think these things are to harsh for his system.
He has recently started a new cleanse system called bioxy cleanse. Which provides and aerobic environment internally and various pathogens cannot survive. He's only been on it for about a week now and it seems to be making a bit of a difference. We'll see after a month of use.
But we will take your advice into consideration about liver cleansing and colonics. At this point we're ready to try just about anything.
ah... poor guy! :( I too have scars on my kidneys, thanks to overloading my liver with too many vitamins and not enough exercise or water. The #1 thing I did wrong last year was drinking black tea instead of water when I was thirsty and taking too many vitamins.
I think you're absolutely right to go slow, just don't overdo the supplements while his liver is obviously impaired. Also, rather than doing the one-night flush, you could start having him do a very slow liver cleanse like the 5-day cleanse, and even one modified down from that.
Have him drink the MC lemonade drink as much as he can during the day, and at least one glass before bed at the minimum. At the same time, take one tablespoon of cold-pressed, extra-virgin olive oil. Do that every night if it doesn't bother him too badly. That will begin to lubricate all the ducts in his liver, and the gallbladder, so it can begin to work more effectively, yet it will be slow and easy. You may want to try flaxseed oil or sunflower oil if the olive oil bothers him.
Since the psyllium bothered him, have him try to eat a green apple a day. Avoid all other fruits, they're hard on the liver and dump a lot of potassium in the system, and if he has scars on his kidneys, potassium is the last thing he needs. It's in everything and very hard for impaired kidneys to manage. No more orange juice for him! (or for me, for that matter).
