I am going to start another MC this week and was wanting to curb muscle loss. I felt I lost to much during the last MC. I was thinking of adding 10 grams of protein to my by mixing protein powder to the mixture. Does anyone see any problems with this? I just felt it weakened me last time but provided so much health benefits otherwise that I have to do it again. I am trying to find a way to balance it all.
I have encountered the same problems/concerns, and have found good results with this product: Protivity. btw, I have found without a doubt, your body does eat muscle tissue for protein during fasting, despite what I've read to the contrary. but your 'new' body will re-grow it back fast, that's the good news.
Your body eats .5 kilos of muscle days 1-3 on a water fast, then Protein sparing begins and the loss drops to .2 kilos per day.
On the lemonade fast you lose more muscle because your body is never put into the protein sparing mode because it never gets the message that it's out of food.
If you have anything other than just lemonade you're not doing the Burrough's Master Cleanse. The link above is correct. On a water fast you go into protein sparing and lose a lot less than on the Lemonade Diet , because the carbs you're getting never tell the body it's not getting food. You're feeding it 1000 calories of sugar a day.
