Well I planned on doing a flush last night. I have done 4 es/oo-gf flushes with very good results previously(500-1000 stones). I knew I wanted to try something different because the es seems to be getting harder and harder for me.
I started yesterday with a piece of dry whole grain toast. I had a cup of vegetable soup for lunch and 2 Granny Smith Apples around 1:30.
At 6pm I took 5 tbls of liquid cal/mag citrate which tasted pretty good (lemon custard flavor) followed by a 12 oz. glass of prune juice (not too bad, kind of reminded me of sweet wine).
Because I was feeling pretty yucky with a cold, I aborted the flush and ate....not very healthy. I had a whole grain pita with hummus/baba gannouj, followed by some fried chicken wings, and to top it off I had a big piece of pie. I know it's very psycological, but I somehow felt better after that pie.
Anyhow, to my amazement I've been getting out stones all day. I've had 3 bm's with many stones. I can't count because I never cleared out enough waste to be able to see clearly, but I know the stones are there. I just thought I would share this because I was so happy to see some results after totally giving up and thought maybe someone else might be able to use some of this info.
I am planning my next "serious" flush in two weeks.
I like the idea of this and would like to experiment, but unfortunetely I'm not sure I can do the ice cream because I have developed an pretty severe allergy/intolerance to dairy....I'm guessing because I have a conjested liver.
I didn't even think about that, but you're right. I don't even think that the amount of fat that I did have came close to 1/2-3/4 cup of olive oil. I guess it was just enough to release the bile and the cal/mag citrate opened everything up and the prune juice helped me eliminate fairly quickly. Kinda cool!
Hey Tracey, well I was unsuccessful with my cleanse last night. I was feeling nauseous all day (yesterday), but still went through. When it came time for the olive oil/grapefruit juice I threw it all up..my dh (husband) got me to drink just olive oil (gross) and it stayed down. But in the morning I chucked up again. So only a few stones came out. The gallbladder area is very sore/tender. I don't want to do this again!! What else can I do? What can I eat? I'm afraid to eat anything. I've got to be well because we are packing house and moving at the end of the month.
Prairiemum,
I read on one of the post from Dr. Andrea that you could use chanca Piedra herb to reduce stones 20 drops 3xa day. I think Julie Chang sells this or you could look up chinese herbs on the web and see if you could locate it. Or put out a bulletin on the cure zone and ask. I also read people saying that when they started gold coin grass that they felt great. This also reduces stones.
Hope this helps God Bless

Ooooooh I'm sorry you were so ill!! You threw up twice! That is nasty.
You know, the one time I threw up (I've done 4 flushes) - I feel (in hindsight) that I wasn't hydrated enough. Did you drink LOTS of water before hand? Like 2 to 3 litres? And lots of water afterwards? The Epsom Salts totally dehydrate you and you can end up feeling sick after the first 2 Epsom Salt drinks.
I can understand your reluctance to do this flush again...but how do you feel today? Do you feel better? Maybe next time you will try the coke or rootbeer with it? (the bubbles really seem to help things, I hear - I'm trying it next) Gauge how you feel today...if you even feel one iota better...you may just want to bite the bullet and do the flush again (I know that sounds awful! - but get hydrated beforehand - that could make a big difference - that and the bubbly pop)
I wish I could help out more!! Maybe someone will come along with something else....
Tracey, thankyou I feel a smidget better. Maybe I will try again. because there is still pain in that area. Maybe I didn't drink enough water. But what a waste of expensive olive oil. What are good foods that I can eat?
Hi Prairiemum....well, I'm glad you feel a teeeeny bit better. That means the olive oil wasn't wasted! Many people get stones out even when they throw up - it seems that the olive oil just has to get down there (which it does quite quickly) in order to activate the liver/gallbladder to push out the bile (to digest the oil) and stones.
Have you read some of the 'Recommended posts' in the Archives?
Some people don't get ANY stones out the first time (or even the 2nd time!)...so you're lucky you got some movement happening down there.
If your gallbladder/liver still feels achy you can do another Liver Flush immediately (no need to wait 2 weeks).
I haven't been able to find any posts that talk about a good diet to follow - but I know that Blueduck has posted on that topic before - maybe she'll come by and give you some tips! All I remember is 'bland' food...and you'll have to experiment because some food irritates some people and not others.
Below is a link to Spirit's great post on good oils! Although you don't want to be taking oils on the morning on your liver flush - it will be good for you on the other days.
