So it's day 2 and I could barely get out of bed this morning! The walk up the hill to the mailbox was even hard! I need some encouragement- this is my first time on the MC and I feel as though I am doing something very unhealthy to my body. I was only planning on doing this for 5 days- is that long enough?

Make sure you are mixing 2tbs lemon and 2tbs maple syrup. Some times if you don't get enough maple syrup in there it will sap your energy. I am on my 6th day and I have felt full of energy the entire time.
I also take powdered spirulina in a little bit of fresh juice in the morning and sometimes in the evening.
If your feeling too weak maybe you need to take it a little slower and get some nutrition in you. Just a little to give you a boost. Like fresh broth.
Some people will feel tired, achey and get headaches from day 1 to 5.
Make sure you are drinking at least 6 lemonades a day if you are feeling weak. How many are you drinking?
As for doing something unhealthy, This is very healthy,it's getting the toxins out of your body and also giving your organs a much needed rest.
I hear you Sue! Urrrgggg...it is such a rough rode.... I am feeling weak too. It is most likely the effects of your body detoxing you are feeling.
One thing I know is I need to drink more water as well as lemonade. And I am REALLY craving food. Dreaming about an avacodo and cheeze sandwich for lunch but I will drink more lemonade instead. Also wanted some yerba mate (tea) to help left my brain fog this morning but resisted. Oh was that difficult.
As I understand it, I believe you need to do the cleanse for at least 3 days to get any real benefits. Five days sounds good if this is your first fast. Starting off with smaller goals and building up to longer ones over time can be easier to accomplish and better for your body. Starting off slow may be best for you. I am shooting for 10 days but will also listen to my body.
Know you are not alone in this. Hang in there if you can! I am going to force myself to take a walk on my lunch break. I think getting my blood moving a bit will help things along and give me some more energy. Also, remember you are allowed to drink peppermint tea on the fast. It may give you some energy. I think you are just going through major withdrawals from the toxins coming "out" of your body. When I got really tired I told myself that this is all that is going on. Once I accept this I just keep doing things to keep me from thinking about eating. Also, when things get rough I keep reminding myself why I am doing this...I want to get healthy!
This is my 2nd day too. I woke up with a bad headache that seems to be subsiding as the day goes on. I got really tired around 2:30 and went to sleep. I woke up at 5:30 p.m. When I woke up I had more energy. I even did some laundry. Yesterday I was dragging tho'. I bought the B&P Shake stuff today and took some around 1 p.m. I will take another before bed. I still love the lemonade! Mmmh mmmh! LOL. Hey, I even did 20 minutes on the stationary bike! It really isn't as bad as I thought it would be. "But" keep in mind that I have been living with fibromaylgia where you have to put up pain and discomfort on a daily basis.
Please don't give up! Your body will love you for it!
