Is there anything known as to what makes some people overly warm?
I can say that my ignored high white cell count is probably still high. I wear shorts year round 45 to 95 degrees).
is this a sign of any thing you've heard of?
Hi jasonr, I remember you, the fishoil guy. Well, again I don't know about your problem. You've got something pretty mysterious going on. Do you have a high metabolism? How about you post a more complete physical history of yourself so that we can get a bigger picture of what might be going on.
I do know a family who keeps their thermostat set on "nuclear winter" year-round. Even in the blazing summer, if people go to their house, they will wear long pants and a sweatshirt, and then borrow a blanket. The family claims this is the only temperature they are comfortable at, and that they are uncomfortably hot at higher temperatures. (It's probably 60F in their house).
But I think that is because they've acclimatized themselves to cool temperatures. If they would gradually raise their thermostat setting to even 70 or so in the summer then they might not be so uncomfortable in other places.
For myself, I have long experienced the other problem. I was cold all my life! Even in the summer I'd wear a nice sweatshirt around b/c otherwise I'd be cold! Only in the past year or so have I experienced an increase in my internal body temperature, I believe this is due to an increased metabolism, because of exercise (cardio and weights) and diet.
Hi Squeeky,
My metabolism is probably on the low side. My history is very long. Born with yellow jauntice. Full blood transfusion. Croup and ear aches until tonsiles out at 7. Things pretty good until 22 when I put my back out (mid/high) and didn't realize it until 28 when X-rays showed two siezed vertibrae. Broke them loose in a few months. Diabetes probably setting in now as per pinched nerves. By 46, full on type 2 diabetes. A little overweight but losing a little at a time. That wasn't too bad.
Thanx again,
Jason
