i am at the end of day 2 and had some fruit...a plum. i was wondering how detrimental that is to the process. it is so difficult to be around food...not sure how anyone else is coping but the forum gives me strength. amazing that people go so long without cheating even a little. very inspriring. can't wait to go to sleep and wake up in day 3!!
on my day 3 I had a piece of watermelon, thinking that oh its mostly water....
what happened is that I got very hungry, very. It woke up my digestive system. so I had another lemonade and decided not to eat again until my fast was over. I am now on day 8 and each day has been easier.
good luck,
Since you had raw fruit, it should do too much except slow down the detox some. Ideally in fasting, we should shut down the digestive system as much as possible so it can work out the toxins. The trick is real hunger lessens as you continue to fast, but it takes longer for the emotional need to eat to go away. Just keep trying and you should do fine.
thanks so much for your feedback. i really admire everyone's ability to not eat ANYTHING. so much of it is emotional....and habitual.
i just would kill to eat anything right now...but after reading everyone's posting it seems that everyone holds strong. i do hope it gets better near the end of the week. as you said....real hunger lessens. i will take your word for it.
Honestly, you will probably crave food throughout the entire fast. I've had at least one or two moments during all ten days of the fast where I wanted to break down and eat. Then I thought about all of the people who have successfully completed the fast and I found the willpower to go on. Just remember all of the good you are doing for your body. Also, I recommend that you continue to exercise regularly. That will help to curb your appetite. I have run two miles every evening and I lost 13 pounds in 9 days. Pretty impressive.
