I started on the MC in the 60's to cleanse. I now believe the body cleanses itself but I still use it to lose weight. Once I stayed on it 22 days. This is not a good idea. I now have it down to a science. If you want to lose weight you go on it for 10 days. You come off with orange juice, the homemade soup for the next two days and then back on if you want to lose more weight. It is safe and healthy. You get all the nutrients you need. You have moments of hunger but they pass. Please don't take vitamins or use Grade A syrup. I do 3 glasses a day and drink water. You can do more and still lose weight. I find that 3 glasses is all I need to take the hunger away. I use cayenne capsules because I hate the taste of the pepper in my lemonade. I just open the capsule and dump out a little more than half. In 30 minutes you can feel the hotness of the pepper for a minute. No big deal. Cayenne is very good for you. I don't do the salt water...it is gross but laxative tea if needed is good. It is very easy to gain all the weight back right away if you are not careful. In fact you will probably gain some back even if you are careful. You have to change your eating habits and exercise. If you have a lot of weight to lose just keep going on and off of it. I even take an eat anything day after the two days of soup. If you need to go on it more than 3 times you can do it for less days. Just follow the same routine. I hope I have helped.
Hello and Thank you for the insight . . . quick question if I may . . . Why go on and off if some people go for 40 days? Also, in the past, I have done this for 15 days and felt great . . . can someone drink the lemondade, say 2-4 servings a day and eat "right" and "light" . . .? If one keeps "regular", what would be the harm in doing so?
If this has been addressed in other places on the formum, please advise . . . could not find . . .
Also, one last question: I cannot find anywhere on the forum . . . discussing liquid Cayenne . . . 40,000 and above heat units . . . I have posted a couple times, but 1) nobody seems to know or 2) nobody will respond?
Hi I am on my first day of the diet and am a bit confused are you saying that the less of the drink you take the more weight you can loose. I was drinking the drink just to drink it not because I am hungry. Should I wait until I am hungry only and then drink.
I just wanted to write an 'I can relate,' response to you. I'm currently going through a similar predicament. This is my 4th day, 2nd time doing the MC. My husband and best girlfriend began the same day as I, and have had 'poop stories' galore. I do eat fairly healthy, consuming a large amount of fiber. But doesn't everyone have at least some gunk they need to clear out of their system, regardless of how healthy they eat? I feel amazing, but am concerned that I have not eliminated the toxins even after doing the salt water flush. I did swallow a tbsp of mineral oil which helped some this morning, but again, not too much to brag about.
So, I'm not certain, krisb, if we're extraordinarily healthy-intestine freaks of nature, or our digestion tracts are twisted. I guess we just have to listen to the bod - and I know that I feel pretty great.
