I have no doubt that many people who are doing cleanse, are getting calcified stones out, suppose they have them there in the first place.
The problem is: extremely few people use colander inside toilet bowl to collect all stones.
More then just a few people collect floating stones from the toilet bowl, but calcified stones does not float, so chances of catching calcified stone inside toilet bowl are more then poor.

My grandmother Nada told me this story about when she was around forty years old. I was a teenager when she first told me this story, but I still remember it as though she told me a few years ago. I could imagine everything she experienced when she told me this story. I still remember most of the stories my grandmother told me.
It happened somewhere in Belgrade in the 1950s. She was living with her two sons, my father, and my uncle.
That year, she often experienced sharp and long lasting pain on her right side and under her rib cage. I think it was winter.
A doctor diagnosed her with gallstones. He suggested a fat-free diet. I guess surgery was out of the question at that time. Yugoslavia was destroyed in World War II; I doubt doctors were performing gallbladder surgery in the fifties. Even if they were performing that type of surgery at that time, knowing my grandmother, I really doubt she would dare to undertake surgery.
Her pain was getting worse, so most people who knew her knew how bad she was suffering. Through friends, she came in contact with an old, retired doctor who gave her a recipe written on a small piece of paper. She kept that piece of paper for years together with her most important papers and documents, and she shared the recipe with others who needed it, but, eventually, she lost it. However, the recipe was very simple & easy to remember, so she did not forget it.

Eat only fat-free breakfast the day of cleanse, and then fast.
In the evening:
squeeze juice from 10 lemons
and mix it with 1 cup of olive oil.
Drink it.
Walk all night. Empty bowels into the pot and look for stones.

So, she did it. My father and his brother (who were teenagers) had to stay awake all that night.
She was so weak, and had so much pain, they had to hold her and walk with her all night. As she explained, her pain was so intense at some moments, she couldn’t support herself when standing. Sometimes, she just lay on the floor in pain.
She emptied her bowels several times that night and morning.
In the morning, they counted over 28 calcified stones of different color, many of them bigger than marbles. The stones were as hard as rock.
She kept those stones in a plastic bag for years, but eventually, she lost them when she moved into another house.
She never had the gallstone problem again, and she never repeated that cleanse again.
I asked my father if he remembered that night, but he doesn't.
My grandmother is dead, my uncle is dead, and I am the only person who remembers this story.
I am telling it to my kids, and to you, so the story will not be forgotten.
I tend to agree with you somewhat on the nature of the soluble stones.
However, when I did the cleanse both for myself and with clients, what I found was both kinds were there. In several cases where the people were scheduled for gallbladder surgery and we did the cleanse beforehand, there was no sign of the stones upon ultrasound scan.
One woman, who was 86 at the time (11 years ago), collected the stones (that were rock hard) and put them in a jar, and took them to her physician. She announced that "this doctor from America (I was visiting another country when this happened...) took my stones out". The doctor first thought that she was nuts, but when she showed him the jar, he went white in the face. Then he ordered another ultrasound and found the gallstones that were there the week before were gone. This woman is still alive and kicking happily and in good health!
I have noticed, for example, that many, many people who undergo gallbaldder removal surgically, become depressed shortly thereafter.
I also have thoughts and "speculations" regarding the energy/spiritual factors behind gallbladder problems, but that's another story..
I have used another flush, which is very simple, very safe, yet very
dramatic, and even old people with various ailments can do it safely.
However, I always like to observe, assist and take care that nothing
strange goes on (My control issues? maybe, or just caution...).
This one involves 5 days of preparation with eliminating all fat from the diet, and it includes Epsom Salts , olive oil and freshly squeezed grapefruit juice. I usually do a kidney cleanse prior to the liver/gallbladder flush, which dramatically improves the body's ability to handle the flush.--
Hi there! I've been liver cleansing the Dr. Clark method for 4 1/2 years now. I've passed 6,523 Gallstones to date. I just finished my 133rd one last night.
My question is this: will I ever get to the bottom of this seemingly bottomless pit (liver)?
I can feel different areas being cleansed because of the movement. I've passed calcified ones and lime green ones. I've passed stages: adult, metacercaria, eggs from sheep liver fluke, round worm and tape worm.
I've been suffering from illnesses since my child's birth 8 years ago. I suffer mostly from migraines and chemical allergies which Dr. Clark feels is due to an over parasatized liver (which I know I have).
Any suggestions???
I've been to Dr. Clark's dentist in Tijuana to get the extractions and such and I do everything in detail in her books including HCl to sterilize food.
I have just finished my 5th flush and oh my what a difference, after my 4th which I didnt pass many stones, I felt the pressure rise and my shoulder and right arm hurt a great deal so I knew I needed to flush again, what was even more strange was that my ankles had started to swell and I just felt lousy. I finished a Bowel Cleanse so I felt to do it again, and I passed a 11/2 inch calcified stone which I felt a bit when it was leaving the duct as a some pain and a wave of nausea. I then passed another one just a bit smaller and then hundreds of small pea size ones in tan and green. Interestingly my ankles are normal again and my shoulder doesnt hurt. The pressure is gone for now but that has happened before and then it comes back but I would estimate that I have passed around 1000 stones now. I slept better after this one than I have for the others and maybe that is why I was able to pass so many. I guess I will be keeping on doing this. I am amazed at the size of that last stone. I have never had gallbladder problems that I knew of and now I wonder why not. I did these flushes because of Lymphoma and allergies, I have become a real believer now. I tell everyone to do this, it makes me feel so elated after these. I am still tired now because I am still passing stones but I know I will feel so much better after this one. I have been soaring through this website searching for my question whether I passed calcified stones or not. I am having calcified stones which could be seen through Ultra-sound. I just did my 2nd flush yesterday. Like the first time, I passed out some greenish pea-size grease playdough-like stuff and this time a huge 1 inch ball. I did not feel any pain at all. I used Hulda-Clark recipe. I just wonder whether they are stones since you described in your message that calcified stones are hard like rock which could scratch the rectum. Mine are not hard as I can crumble them. Please let me know. Thank a lot. Julia
I agree that 'normal' does not come into it. I have two thoughts though.
One: The things you got out could be gallstones, however, since you are doing a parasite clease they could possibly be intestinal flukes which are about 1-2cm long and a greyish/green with a smmoth texture on one side. These can look a lot like stones and would of course be likely to come out during a parasite cleanse. So take a look, have a good prod and see.
Two: I would not necessarilly agree that all Gallstones float. On my first cleanse I passed about two dozen small (small pea size) calcified stones that sank straight away. Mostly the ones passed float but not all it seems.
the majority of stones that I have passed have been rock hard or calcified. As someone with a keen interest in science, please explain how calcification of bile salts and olive oil can take place in 12 hours. I would be most interested!
Andreas Moritz , author of the "Amazing Liver Cleanse" answered an e-mail of mine regarding questions I had on liver/gallbladder cleansing. Thought folks might find it helpful.
In my new edition of the liver cleanse book (it is about three times as large) I also recommend Gold Coin Grass for difficult cases. It is also important to do the colonics, particularly the one after the liver cleanse. I have had quite a few people pass more stones with the colonic than during the actual liver flush. This was due to spastic areas in the colon that blocked the release of the stones. So make sure to always finish off with a colonic within 3 days after the liver cleanse. Almost every person passes more stones this way. There are always a few stones that get trapped in the colon, even in healthy colons.
I will answer your questions in the sequence you have asked them.
1. Unless your liver and gallbladder are completely clean, old symptoms can return, not all of them and not as intense, but they can return. During a liver cleanse the liver can get rid of only those stones that are closest to the two main bile ducts that exit the liver. This allows more bile flow for a couple of days (and relieve symtoms, improve energy levles) but as the bile flows better also more stones from the rear parts of the liver begin moving toward these two main ducts. This once again blocks the bile flow and causes the same or similar symptoms. However, the liver as such begins to improve and begin to repair those damaged areas where bile ducts had been blocked before. To permanently get rid of chronic problems, such as backaches, both organs must be cleared of all stones. My partner, for example, passed a 2 1/2 inch calcified gallstone from her gallbladder during her 9th cleanse, folowed by 100 smaller but equally calcified ones. Several hours later, all the pain in her body which she suffered from for 30 years vanished completely and never returned.
2. I recommend to leave at least two weeks between cleanses to allow a maximum number of stones from the rear of the liver to move foward and also give the liver enough time and energy for repairing the damaged sites before having another 'surgery.' It would be a waste to cleanse any earlier than that. Once a month would be ideal.
3. The oil and juice cannot turn into stones, the body cannot do that, not even a laboratory. Analysis of the stones shows that they consist of 90 percent cholesterol crystals. The cholesterol in olive is minimal and not sufficient to form any clumpts. Besides it is soluble cholesterol that is unable to coagulate. The reason why the the liver can easily accomodate 4000-5000 stones becauuse of the huge biliary network. Instead of having bile occupying the space, bile stones begin to occupy that space. Of course, the bile ducts dilate because the stones are relatively large in comparison with the normal diametre of a smaller bile duct. This causes the typical enlargement of the liver among people with chronic health problems. In fact most people, even children, in the industrialised world have enlarged livers (which is now considered normal). If a person has 20,000 stones, he actually has a fatty, enlarged liver, completely white on the ultrasound picture.
Also, when the liver and gallbladder are cleared of all stones, no more stones are released. If stones were formed from olive oil, this would continue to be the case even after the liver is clean. But this isn't so. After my 12th cleanse I had no more stones. When I did a 13th cleanse 4 years later, I still had no stones, not suprising given my diet and lifestyle. And I had released over 3,500. All stones were packed with bacteria that produced a horrendous smell. Olive oil is bacteria-static and therefore does not support living bacteria. Bacteria only go where there is decaying organic matter. Anyone who says that olive oil turns into stones has no knowlege of basic biochemistry and digestive functions.
4. The liver loses its sluggishness when it is free from congestion. It fully repairs itself and does not require any external help to do that. How to avoid Gallstones from being formed again can be taken from this book. How to live a healthy lifestyle and eat balanced diet according to one's body type is dealt with in my book "The Key to Health and Rejuvenation." It is a very large and comprehensive book.
5. Fats make you sluggish for as long there is not suffucient bile available to handle the fat. Once the bile ducts are clear bile flow and bile production return to normal fat digestion also becomes easy again, provided that all the other factors that influence bile production, such as sleeping before 10 or 10:30 pm, drinking aenough water, avoiding stimulants, etc., clearing emotional stress, etc. are taken care of."

I had actually done the colonics after my cleanse and YES, a lot of green stones passed through. Next flush, I will be making an appointment for a colonics again.
I just completed my first liver/gallbladder cleanse and was amazed to see hundreds of small sand granules and about a hundred of small pea size ones - all cholesterol stones. After my flush, I still have some discomfort in my right side, just below my rib cage, as well as my indigestion seems to be worse than before. I was diagnosed with gallstones 3 weeks back with ultrasound. Interestingly, my doctor didn't think it was necessary to do an ultrasound since the blood tests were all negative, but I insisted and am glad I did so!
My question is: is it normal to have this dull pain after the first flush? Will it disappear after subsequent flushes? Will the indigestion improve as well and when?

It HURTS (eee-YOW!) without a flush. My big ones were over a centimeter in size (I didn't measure them precisely, however). Actually, they were a centimeter or more across on each face, and the stones were kinda like many-sided (i.e. role-playing game style) dice.
I'm assuming they were calcified -- they scratched my sphincter (what the heck was that?!?) on the way out. They were hard, but I didn't have them analyzed for calcium content.
Many others of us have, too, and you can see many pictures of the things which have come out in the image section on this web site.
BTW -- passing the large stones during a flush did not result in pain (unless I slept through it...).
Over a period of three years I experienced gallbladder attacks once a year, so severe that I was hospitalized. There was a definite pattern with a peak due to workoverload and stress, and no eating at all over a few months at a time. I virtually drove my body into a state of survival alert, without knowing it. I was dehydrated and starving, literally, and working 16 hour days!(with a lot of responsibilities on all levels). Stones, calcified and some green and some beige, some sludge, some obvious flukes/parasite remains. Could be that we 100 years ago did not float in front of the television for hours on end, that the flour wasn't as white as it is now, nor hidden sugar everywhere. Let go of the argumentative bilious form, and do the experiment and see whether vitality will be yours. It sounds as though you are not feeling very well. Rather constipated, it seems.

I'm feeling much gratitude right now and I want to share it with you. 9 months ago I had my first "gallbladder attack." I was in great pain, I couldn't walk nor breathe. After an ultrasound, my MD told me that "You must have your gallbladder removed immediately." I made the plans. Then, I was guided by my chiropracter to try natural flushing first. After refusing flushes that included lots of sugar through juices, I chose Dr. Clark's liver cleanse. That choice led me to Curezone.com, which led me to your forum.
You have now led me through 7 liver flushes and a major bowel cleanse using colosan and colonics. My first Liver Flush produced 19 hard as a rock, black, calcified stones ranging from large to medium in size. I purchased a colema board which I have learned to use with ease and pleasure, moderately. I have read "The Amazing Liver Cleanse" and it is now a daily reference book for me. I am into the second book authored by you and learning about Aryuveda, my qualities as a Vata dominant (I have never been described so accurately before - I'm in awe) and how to eat wisely.
My pain is gone. Constipation is improving. Digestion is wonderful, I actually feel hungry before meals. The distress of "Irritable Bowel Syndrome", the bloating and cramping and lack of appetite, is gone. I feel happy and content. My anxiety level, my "hysteria", is greatly reduced, and I feel like I'm starting to learn how to live from the inside out.
Future plans include the 30 day kidney cleanse (I had gastric trouble with this before the bowel cleanse. Taking your advice, I did the 7 day cleanse, and now will try the kidney flush again.)
Then I will do 3 more liver flushes followed by an ultrasound to see if the "shadows" have disappeared. Of course, I will keep after my kidneys twice a year, my bowels weekly and after liver flush, and the liver twice a year.
I am all brand new, shiny and clean, getting better and better with every passing day. Yes, I relapse, especially with my food (I love cheese and salty soynuts with raisins - these are now my vices). But I'm enjoying my food like never before, my sleep is sound, and I'm happy. Oh yes, did I mention that I am decreasing my antidepressent and psychotic medication little by little. My goal is to be completely off the pharmaceuticals in due time.

So does this mean you never had your gallbladder removed? I have been asked to get my gallbladder removed. I had an appointment to see a surgeon on the 8th of March, 2006. It's been cancelled and moved to March 22nd. This gives me more time to contemplate on what to do.
Jasmine, yes, it means I never had my gallbladder removed. I was encouraged by my medical doctor to have it removed. Then my chiropractor encouraged me to try flushing before I had the surgery. This led me to Dr. Clarke's flush, and here we are, two years later, and I am symptom free, AND I still have my precious gallbladder. My digestion and elimination are better than they've ever been in my life, and I feel terrific. Please consider flushing before you remove your gallbladder. It is a precious organ, and we need it to function successfully.
