> My husband has just been diagnosed with Type II Diabetes and has been on glucatrol about a week. Is it safe for him to go on Dr. Clark's liver cleansing, not eating for about a day and a half?
Bradley,
we are actually talking about avoiding foods for few hours.
Actually, on that cleanse you are suppose to stop eating at 2:00 PM.
So, before 2:00 PM, he can eat any easy to digest fat-free food, that have very low glycemic index.
It should be food without simple sugars, like soup made of vegetables, potato, lean meat, lean fish, salat ...
Soups, lean meat, lean fish and vegetables, ....
But, it would be smart if he do parasites cleanse first!
And, if he really feels bad (hypoglycemia - low blood sugar), he can take some fat-free home made soup, few hours later. As long as it is fat-free, it will not be negative for the cleanse.
At 6:00 PM. (only 4 hours after last food) he will be drinking magnesium sulfate (epsom salt) and that is like a food. After that, there is no hunger! No one feels hungry after magnesium sulfate.
at 8:00 PM. (only 2 hours after last cup) one more cup of magnesium sulfate , again good substitute for food. Again, no hunger!
at 10:00 PM. he will be drinking olive oil and juice, that is a LOT a LOT of food!!!!!
After that, no-one ever felt hungry (or hypoglycemic)!
Actually, the biggest problem is to digest huge amount of fat.
> He was told never to go over 6 waking hours without eating.
Yes, that is smart.
Most important in avoiding hypoglycemia is to eat foods with low glycemic index, foods that have low content of simple sugars or flour.
Flour and flour products like bread, pasta, ... can cause sever hypoglycemia just a few hours after eating.
Meat and Fish and salads will not cause hypoglycemia.
Not long ago I was told that I was very close to being full on diabetic. I had already changed my diet to be more healthy, and have been very active. However, despite what I was doing, I found that the symtoms of diabetes persisted. Well after much searching, and many dead ends, I finally found something that has helped me GREATLY!!!!! I had already done alot of juicing, but as you know fruits and vegetables still contain sugar, mainly the fruits. But we need both fruits and vegetables. Well what I found was 17 fruits and vegetables in capsule form!! But, better than juicing, it has the sugar and salt removed, but the fiber added back in, and the 100% live enzymes in tack! Being a die hard juicer, I didnt think at first that this would do much more than the juicing. But in 2 days I had so much energy I didnt know what to do with myself! And its been over 3 months, and I no longer feel the symtoms of diabetes, among other health problems disapearing. Every day people eat food that can either heal, or hurt, what we eat, and how we live can either make us diabetic or not. Everytime we eat, say white flour, we increase our sugar levels, hence sending our insulin levels out of control. In every serving of fruits and vegetables we eat we decrease our risk of disease by 6-7%. Fruits and vegies, can also protect our blood sugar. This product im taking is like protection, or life insurance against those times i eat something not so great for me. Studies show that when we eat a high fat (mcdonalds, ect.) meal, our blood sugars, ect. are out of whack for 6-7 hours. While those taking this product, hardly had their blood sugar levels fluctuate. There are alot of studies proving that vegetables and fruits are vital for our health, but its still hard to eat those things raw, and everyday, and a varity as well. So this makes it easier!

p.s. while I juiced I did many fasts, and I found that as long as I did mainly vegetables,(because of the sugars) my diabetes wasnt affected. I still recomend juice fasting, it gives your body a break, so it can focus on healing.
I am insulin dependent and pills, I started to flush about 6 weeks ago, the pain in the liver is going down, lots of stones, say I have a fatty liver, I told my Dr. what I was doing, my blood sugar is coming down, so glad for this website.
Could I get the name of the fruit a vegie, pills?
I am diabetic and have done a number of Liver Flushes with no problem. In fact, I've often found that my blood sugar will be more normal after a flush.
One thing I do differently than the basic flush protocol is that I will use unsweetened fresh apple juice to dissolve the Epsom Salts instead of water.
This makes the salt mixture less noxious to drink, and I think the mild fructose in the juice helps to stave off hunger.
The flush has helped reduce my cholesterol and triglyceride levels. I find it rather easy to do.
