  • SAFETY: PREGNANCY? ... Which is the safest gallbladder cleanse during p...   R by  Celia  8 year  21,573  Liver Flush FAQ
    I am 31 years old and 32 weeks pregnant with my fifth full-term pregnancy and have had several gallbladder attacks. I am ready to try the gallbladder cleanse. Which one is the best and safest during pregnancy? Will it start me into pre-mature labor? I've read that some harsh laxatives can start pre-mature labor. Also, should I worry about the toxins being released in my colon because of the cleanse. Will these toxins harm the unborn baby?

      > I am 31 years old and 32 weeks pregnant with my fifth full-term pregnancy and have had several gallbladder attacks. I am ready to try the gallbladder cleanse.

      >Which one is the best and safest during pregnancy?

      I would suggest Hulda Clark 's Flush.

      >Will it start me into pre-mature labor?

      It has never happened.
      Epsom Salt is used to stop contractions and pre-term labor, so you can use liver flush to stop pre term labor, I doubt it will cause labor.

      > I've read that some harsh laxatives can start pre-mature labor.

      That is true.
      Any laxative may induce pre-mature labor.

      But, Epsom Salt, is not one of them.

      > Is it safe ?

      Nobody can tell you: "It is 100% safe."
      You may feel bad while doing it, and after.

      Before you choose to do it, do something for your pain, other then flush.

      To treat acute pain, take 1 tbsp of epsom salt deluted in on cup of juice or water, immediately.

      Drink a lot of water, and eat good amount of unrefined salt.

      Continue with daily program:

      1. Water Cure , daily
      2. 1 tea-spoon epsom salt with water, daily until birth
      3. Olive oil, 1 -3 tbsp with lemon juice, daily
      4. flaxseed oil + cottage cheese blend daily
      5. walking barefoot on marbles (or stone beach), daily reflexotherpy
      6. Take "lecithin", around 2400 to 4800 mg of lecithin a day. Take two in the morning and two in the evening with one or more 500 mg of "taurine" taken anytime. These help to keep the cholesterol suspended, or emulsified.
      7. castor oil packs

      This program is usualy enough to prevent pain.

      > Also, should I worry about the toxins being released in my colon because of the cleanse. Will these toxins harm the unborn baby?

      Doing enema in the evening, before claeanse, and few times in the morning, can save you from most toxins.

      You will have to do what you feel is right.

      ================================

      I will tell you what I would do if I would be in your shoes, and with my experience.

      ================================
      Close your eyes. Then try to walk.

      Can you run, or do you walk carefully, small steps?

      Walk carefully.

      You are in the darkness. Walk small steps, until your eyes are open.
      ==================================================

      First, I would make sure I tolerate olive oil well!!!
      This is most important, as I suppose you do tolerate freshly pressed lemon juice.

      Take at least 4 tbsp or more of olive oil daily (with foods) to make sure you tolerate it well.
      Make salad dressing or something...

      You still didn’t tell me if olive oil makes any difference for you? Are you still in pain?
      Does olive oil make any change about how you feel in the area of liver/gallbladder?

      Now, suppose I tolerate olive oil very well. (It does not cause pain, or attack, or unpleasant feeling...)

      Now, I would make sure I am able to swallow a lot of olive oil.
      To make sure I can do that, I will use many days to test myself.

      The fist day, I would do small "test cleanse".
      ===============================
      12 Noon Stop eating all solid food
      6.30 pm Stop drinking all fluids
      Somewhere between 7.00 and 9.00pm Using a measuring device, pour 2 tablespoonfuls of olive oil and drink it.
      Follow immediately with one or two tablespoonfuls of lemon juice.
      After 15 min, I would do it again, then lie down and relax, sleep.
      Altogether 2 x 2tbsp of olive oil. Amount of lemon juice can be increased.
      =============================================

      Tomorrow, I would look for the stones in my toilet.
      If I feel OK, I would take one standard day, no cleanse, just olive oil with food.

      Then, next day the same recipe, but this time, 4 tablespoonfuls of olive, and I would repeat one more times.
      Altogether 2 x 4tbsp of olive oil
      =======================

      Again, the next day would tell me how well I tolerate it.

      This time, I would take 2 days break, and eat normally, just make sure there is also a lot of fat in my meal (some fresh oil, or fresh coconut, or fatty fish)
      I don't know if you can tolerate fish.
      Did you try flaxseed oil with cottage cheese ?
      =================================

      Then, when I feel the time is right, I would try:

      Same recipe, but this time, 4 tablespoonfuls of olive, and I would repeat 3 times.
      Altogether 4 x 4tbsp of olive oil

      Now, this is almost like a full cleanse!

      And so on...
      ================================

      I think you got idea.

      Close your eyes. Then try to walk.
      Can you run, or do you walk carefully, small steps?
      Walk carefully.
      You are in the darkness. Walk small steps, until your eyes are open.
      ==================================================

      Now, I suppose that, in case you do feel like trying something like this, that you will first tell us you do, and you will also answer to some questions:

      Does olive oil make any difference for you?

      Does olive oil make any change about how you feel in the area of liver/gallbladder?

      I suppose, in case you do feel like trying something like this, that you will share with us your experience, every day, as it goes.

      I suppose, that there is someone in your house who can support you and be beside you when you are trying this.

      I suppose, that someone can drive a car, or can call a cab, just in case.

      ====================

      I have done over 20 cleanses.

      I have eaten over 10 tbsp of flax seed oil in one single meal, with no problems.

      I have eaten over 10 tbsp of olive oil in one single meal (with salad), with no problems.

      ===============
      I know a woman who did cleanse while pregnant, and she did it fine. She got out some stones.

      She was not in pain! She only did it to make sure her liver is doing good job, while pregnant.
      ===============

      Generally, you are the one who takes the full responsibility for your and for health of your child. No one else can replace you.
      I can only give you support of kind: "If in your skin, I would try it."

      Though this sound like you are going to do something terrible, (parachute jumping), in reality, chances for something bad happening are small, suppose you tolerate well olive oil. Actually, chances for something bad happening are far bigger if you would take some fatty dinner (Pizza), (what most other pregnant woman do at least 50 times in their pregnancy.)

      Please, meditate about this, "ask your child" if it will go on with you trying this, and if both of you agree, then go on.

      In case of nausea or vomiting sensations, try immediately to stand up, and walk on "kidney been" (foot massage), that may help air get out, without making you vomit.
      If you think you would feel better if you vomit, then do it.

      Remember.
      No fear, no doubt.

      Do what you feel is right.
      And, don't forget to share every day and every important step of preparation with us. It will help you answer your questions, and it will help others reading this.

      Hope to hear from you

        Agnes, thank you for your reply and information. About my health: I am strong and healthy with no re-ocurring health conditions except my gallbladder. I exercise on a treadmill four times a week for 40 minutes and I drink 2 quarts of water every day. All of my pregnancies (this is my fifth) go full-term, and have no complications during pregnancy or labor; but, I am forty lbs. overweight (before pregnancy) and I do not eat healthy enough.

        I will try the 4 Tblsp of olive oil on a salad every day to see how I tolerate it. I'm not ready yet to try the other seven tips for a daily program to prevent pain, but they are good tips.

        It seems wise to follow your advice to do a "mini" cleanse first following the "Are you Stoned?" receipe, and then do a larger one a couple of days later, if all went well.

        I will let you know what I try, and how it goes. My husband will be here the whole time to support me through it. Thank you very much! -Celia

        • How my gallbladder cleanse went during pregnancy!  R by  Celia  8 year  6,283
          Agnes,

          I did the cleanse on Monday, January 14th, at 33-1/2 weeks or 7-1/2 months pregnant. I wanted to get it all over with in one day, so I didn't do a small cleanse and then gradually increase it to a full cleanse. I did the full "Are you Stoned?" receipe cleanse, just olive oil and lemon juice no salt.

          The night before the cleanse I took one capsule of cascara sagrada (herbal laxative) which really helped. I started my juice fast earlier, at breakfast the morning of the cleanse. I had a lemon juice/water enema that afternoon. I would suggest the laxative and enema to all. They really helped to let the Gallstones pass out easier.

          That night, I was only able to take 3/4 of the total olive oil and lemon juice. I didn't get very much sleep all night, only 30 minutes here and there. It wasn't painless for me. During the middle of the night I had two episodes one lasting one hour, the other lasting 1/2 hour, that felt just like my other gallbladder attacks except they were only half as painful. (Could this pain have been my gallbladder contracting?)

          I kept burping olive oil in the morning and let myself throw up when the urge came at 7:00am. I felt about 50% better after throwing up. I passed gallstones at 4:00am, 8:00am, 9:45am, and then clear on the next day at 12:30pm. They were small (2mm), soft, and light green in the beginning, then large (5mm-10mm), hard, and dark green in the end. I did not get any diarrhea.

          The whole experience was very draining. It felt like I had the flu (nausea, abdominal discomfort) the whole time, plus felt like I was recovering from the flu for several days afterwards. I was glad I did this while I was still pregnant. This would have drained me too much to do while nursing a baby.

          My OBGYN said dehydration from diarrhea (if I had gotten diarrhea from the cleanse) would be the only thing that would start me into pre-mature labor, or if I was full-term, then the cleanse could start me into labor, so to be sure and drink liquids if the diarrhea came. I would suggest to all pregnant women, (just my own opinion), to do this cleanse no later than four weeks before due date to prevent possible labor.

          Thank you for your help!

          It was rewarding and amazing to see and think those gallstones were really inside me.

          Celia

          • I did gall bladder cleanse during pregnancy and also during breastfeedin...  R by  Celia  8 year  4,813
            I am the same "Celia" who did the cleanse on Monday, Jan. 14th, at 33-1/2 weeks or 7-1/2 months pregnant.

            I kept having gall bladder attacks so with my beautiful baby girl only 3 weeks old I did my second cleanse.

            The cleanse was successful, expelling stones again, just not as many as the first cleanse. I used the olive oil/lemon juice cleanse and only drank a little more than half of the total 2 cups of oil.

            My breastfeeding baby was fine ! It didn't deplete my milk supply at all. My baby did have colic right after the cleanse, but she has been having colic off and on since she was born. It was also time for her to have a bowel movement and she did. Maybe the olive oil that got into my milk helped her pass a stool? It was not diarrhea. It was a normal stool.

            I actually got more sleep during this cleanse. The olive oil did bring on more nausea than last time, so your advice of standing up and walking on marbles to get the air out of the stomach worked, plus drinking the olive oil slower with a little V-8 juice and waiting longer in-between doses worked well too. (Putting marbles inside a gallon ziploc bag, then inside another gallon ziploc bag for added strength, works well for walking on them.)

            My baby breastfed the whole time, in-between doses and after. I laid down on my right side constantly, so to nurse her on my left breast I had to lean over more, almost on my stomach, but it worked to keep me on my right side and still be able to nurse her on both breasts.

            The next morning I was weak again, but ate slowly and felt stronger by the afternoon.

            In my opinion, it is safe to do the gall bladder cleanse during pregnancy and during breastfeeding. I am grateful for this website and all your help! I think I'll still need more cleanses in the future. I'll keep in touch.

            Sincerely, Celia

          Hi, I am 8 weeks pregnant, 40 lbs overweight and having terrible nauseau. I think I just had my first gallstone attack. Went to the ER and they did bloodwork which indicated Gallstones but they could not find any on the ultrasound. I would really like to prevent another attack, but I am certain I do not want to have surgery while pregnant and would really like to avoid surgery altogether. Are these cleanses safe so early in my pregnancy? Are there other methods I can try to pass the stones?

    • Re: SAFETY: PREGNANCY? ... Which is the safest gallbladder cleanse dur... by  Spirit  7 year  6,565

      In this message, I express my personal opinion, based on my limited knowledge on this subject.
      I am not a woman, I am not a doctor, I just happened to be interested in liver flush, I am a father of 2 boys, one of them experienced several liver flushes during pregnancy.

      When it comes to doing the liver flush , my opinion is that IN most women (at least 99%) benefits outweigh the risks involved, (main risks being stone stuck in common bile duct, what may lead to jaundice or even (rarely) to acute pancreatitis. Pancreatitis, if untreated, may cause serious pain and even death.) 80.000 people in USA alone experience Pancreatitis every year.  No other serious risks are involved, at least for majority of healthy women, and according to my limited knowledge.  Beware that the risk of encountering jaundice or acute pancreatitis has nothing to do with pregnancy itself. That risk is there regardless of your condition, and I believe that in case of pregnancy, that risk can only be lower, not higher.

      I believe that it is important to do an enema before taking the first cup of Epsom salt, and also to do an enema in the morning, while taking the last Epsom salt dose, or after taking it.

      It is important to add probiotics into the last enema water to prevent dysbiosis - constipation.

      I believe that pregnant woman should and can take the full dose of Epsom salt. Epsom salt is used to stop pre-term contractions and to stop pre-term labor and birth, and is, according to what I have read and what I have heard, 100% safe to be taken during pregnancy, as long as your kidneys as healthy, and as long as you are drinking a lot of water, and are not allergic to it, or severely intolerant.

      It is always better to already have some experience with flushing liver, before the pregnancy, but, there are many women who did their first flush during pregnancy!

      Enema or colonics are also of great benefit, and are, according to my knowledge, as safe as life itself.

      Enema will insure that all toxic bile that has been dumped out from your liver and from your gallbladder, that all that bile is flushed safely out.

      I say in most women, meaning waste majority of 99%,  but that still doesn't mean that liver flush is safe for every woman.

      In real world, 100% safe does not exist! No therapy, no lifestyle, no treatment is 100% safe. No matter what you do.  Even if you don't do anything during pregnancy, you are not 100% safe. Nobody is.

      Life itself is not 100% safe, and together with life, anything else is.

      There will always be women who will experience miscarriage, there will always be women who will experience pre-term birth, with or without liver flush. And, while liver flush may actually cause some problems in very few women, in other women it will prevent those same problems, and it will prevent many other problems.

      The thing with liver flush is that in most women, liver flush will so much improve health that it will automatically that much decrease chances of any problem associated with poor liver condition ....

      But still, you are not 100% safe, and will never be.

      There is a forum that you should read:  Pregnancy Forum

      Most flushing experiences are recorded and marked with R=Recommended.

      Another place is Liver Flush FAQ, where that question is answered.

      Read Liver Flush FAQ, to learn about all safety concerns, when it comes to liver flush.

      Beware,  whatever you decide, it will be your own decision, and your own responsibility!
      You are now responsible for 2 people, for yourself, and for your baby!

      Best of health

        Epsom Salts (Magnesium sulfate chemical name) is used as a treatment against pre-term labor.

        You can use it to stop pre-term labor, but it will never be the cause of pre-term labor. Many women have safely flushed during pregnancy. Whenever making important decisions try to follow your gut feeling!

        To learn more, please follow the links given ...

        Spirit

        Magnesium sulfate is used to treat pre-eclampsia, eclampsia and
        preterm labor.
        http://www.twinslist.org/magsulfate.html

        Pre-eclampsia (also known as toxemia and Pregnancy-Induced High Blood
        Pressure) consists of high blood pressure, protein in the urine and
        edema (swelling). It can rapidly become severe pre-eclampsia, with
        very high blood pressure, visual disturbances, failing kidneys and
        elevated liver enzymes. In rare cases, pre-eclampsia develops into
        eclampsia, where potentially fatal convulsions occur. It also can
        become HELLP Syndrome (hemolysis (H), which is the breaking down of
        red blood cells, elevated liver enzymes (EL), and low platelet count
        (LP)), which is potentially fatal to both the woman and her baby or
        babies.

        MAGNESIUM SULFATE
        Description
        http://eilat.sci.brooklyn.cuny.edu/newnyc/drugs/magnesiu.htm

        Magnesium sulfate reduces striated muscle contractions and blocks
        peripheral neuromuscular transmission by reducing acetylcholine
        release at the myoneural junction. In emergency care, magnesium
        sulfate is used to manage seizures associated with toxemia of
        pregnancy. Other uses include uterine relaxation (to inhibit
        contractions of premature labor), as a bronchodilator after
        beta-agonist and anticholinergic agents have been used, replacement
        therapy for magnesium deficiency, as a cathartic to reduce the
        absorption of poisons from the Gl tract, and in the initial therapy
        for convulsions. Magnesium sulfate is gaining popularity as an initial
        treatment in the management of various dysrhythmias, particularly
        torsades de pointes, and dysrhythmias secondary to a tricyclic
        antidepressant overdose or digitalis toxicity. The drug is also
        considered as a class Ila agent (probably helpful) for refractory
        ventricular fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia after
        administration of lidocaine or bretylium doses.

        ============================

        Magnesium sulfate is effective for severe acute asthma treated in the emergency department
        http://www.acponline.org/journals/ebm/sepoct99/rowe.htm

        Intravenous magnesium sulfate reduces the rate of hospital admissions and improves pulmonary function in patients with severe acute asthma treated in the emergency department.

    • Re: SAFETY: PREGNANCY? ... Which is the safest gallbladder cleanse dur... by  simplecures  30 mon  3,259
      I am 28 weeks pregnant and have been suffering from severe gallbladder attacks for the last couple of months. I was hoping to tough it out until the baby was born to do a cleanse, but the attacks grew worse and after a hospital stay I was forced to a liquid diet. I discovered a cleanse that contained ingredients I felt good about. I figured the cleanse could be no harder on the baby than three months of a liquid diet. Not to mention the fact that I could not even function in my life. I completed the clense in less that 24 hours and I feel like a new person. My baby is active and his heart rate is great. Of course the cleanse should be done with caution, and prayer, and but I would do it again without hesitation. The cleanse should begin just before you go to bed at night.

      Mix 3 oz of pure virgin olive oil with 6 oz of classic Cocacola and the juice of two lemons. Place ingredients in a two cup mesuring cup and stir with one hand to keep it from separating while you drink it. The next morning as soon as you awake drink a 10 oz bottle of magnesium citrate.

      The olive oil will signal the gallbladder to open and allow the coke and lemon to dissolve the stones enough to move them into the digestive system. The magnesium citrate will then move the stones the rest of the way out. It is true that laxitives can make labor begin, but only if your membranes are ripe. If they are not ripe it will give you an intense bowel movement instead. Some suggest drinking apple juice for three days before the cleanse to help soften up the stones, but I was in such pain I just went forward without that step. It was hard to keep the mixture down, but The next morning all the pain was gone from my right rib and shoulderblade. I cannnot believe the difference in my energy level. I passed stones for a good part of the next day. They looked like green peas at first and then larger ones followed. After my baby is born I plan to do it again to make sure I got them all. Use the recipe at your own risk, but for me I would never suffer like that again.
