Wow, it's my first visit to this forum and I am embarrassed and concerned. Anyone searching to find their Truth and visits Curezone to get a glimpse of Christianity, will surely get confused. I am reminded of a quote of Gandhi's:
"If all Christians acted like Christ, the whole world would be Christian."
In addition, the LAST thing that Jesus intended to do was to start the "Christian" religion. Jesus was a leader, a master teacher, a radical!!!, trying to reform what he saw as a corrupt Jewish religious establishment. He saw this reform largely as an internal religious movement, with little implication for the gentile world.
I do not intend to debate here or defend my opinion, I only needed to voice it!
This is, after all, a debate forum, so debates happen. Feel free to post whatever you want, but I'm confused as to why you think debates shouldn't happen in a debate forum.
was jesus christ the messiah, or just another liar?
no other religious figure in the history of the world challenged the human race as jesus christ did. no other figure in world history ever said that he could prove, and prove absolutely, that he was telling the truth to every individual who really wanted to find it out. in other words, he left all of us with no excuse whatsoever. if he can prove it to each one of us, then what excuse do we have if we fail to ask him to do so and end up in ruin?
romans 1:20-23
for the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and godhead; so that they are without excuse: [21] because that, when they knew god, they glorified him not as god, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. [22] professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, [23] and changed the glory of the uncorruptible god into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
john 7:15-18
and the jews marvelled, saying, how knoweth this man letters, having never learned? [16] jesus answered them, and said, my doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me (god). [17] if any man will do his (god's) will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of god, or whether i speak of myself. [18] he that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
oh, vain soul, have you ever asked jesus christ to prove it to you, or have you just dismissed his claims as trash and rubbish?
I agree with Daizy! This should be called "Religious Opinions" forum! There is no debate its all based on subjective personal decisions. Debate implies facts and a conclusion! I really do not think that could possibly happen here! Just my opinion! Grog
This forum was specially created for debate and heated discussion after the last few days of craziness over in the support forum. As we saw there was a need for it. Because, people do like to defend the faith of Christianity and other people {usually non believers} like to bring up controversial topics such as Bible reliability, Prophets etc.
I do feel sorry that things got out of hand, but when a person feels like they have been personally attacked, usually defensive attitudes arise from believers and non believers, alike. We are all human after all.....the question truly is if you feel sorry afterwards. And, yes I feel sorry, I feel sad that this has probably caused God sadness bad press.
Yes, Jesus did preach on Love, Jesus did teach against Jewish Religion, but not only that He taught against MAN's religion. And, he commanded us to take this gospel to all the nations. That would be the full gospel, and in the full gospel there is not only Love, but Truth, and sometimes the Truth hurts.
Promoting? Universalism? I was just saying what I knew in my knower. I don't have a doctrine per sey. I went to several Universalist Unitarian meetings but they didn't have spiritual gifts and they deny the virgin birth of Jesus. Something missing there. I have been to dozens of churches from charismatic fundamentalist churches to mainstream. I always get something out of attending church. When I go to spirit filled churches and they are awesome until the preacher starts with the morality message and then they they start lying about God, I knoew I am in the wrong place. When the shpherd starts with their stories bashing homosexuals, Catholics, Muslim people or whatever, I think they must have only half of the truth about the God I pray to. It seems that full gospel churches are half way there but they just miss the point about judgement. I started walking out of churches a couple of years ago when they started bashing Muslims in church and I always walked out when they bashed Catholics from the pulpit. I guess I have a low tolerance for judging non-christians? I don't know if America is Mystery Babylon but if it is, I think this type of judgement must be at the core or its error. I think it is time to see what is going on in the church and see if we can fix it.
If glorifying God in churches could get done by becoming more conservative then there are plenty of conservative churches. I don't think the answer is in conservative churches. If God wanted churches to be more liberal, there are plenty of liberal churches. I don't think liberal churches have the answer. I think there is something that is missing in the churches. I don't know what it is? But I think it has something to do with worship a god of judgement.I do know phony preaching when I hear it. When a preacher starts judging anyone outside of his own flock then they are primarily just scratching the itches of people wanting to feel good about who they are. Self Righteous folks in the pews probably give their tithes better than people who are searching for God outside of a building. Preachers so often spend a small part of their sermon praising God and the bulk of the sermon bashing non-believers. It keeps people in the pews but it is a dis-service to God. I have gone to liberal churches and they believe may be liberal about people of other faiths but they don't have the Holy Spirit. The mainstream religions that I have visited are dead and they all have good points but very little spirit. The Catholic churches in Mexico were pretty awesome and they kept the families together but there are lots of Catholics who go to church but many Catholics have no prayer-life at all or worse, they don't believe in God at all. I have a gift of discerning God's voice when I hear it and I just have great difficulty that voice without the voice from the pit. Maybe the real church is just between two or more people when they talk about God? Maybe the true church is between you and me right now? I go wherever God tells me to go...but I guess I have had the hardest time finding a church to be under their authority because I have not found a church that glorifies God the way that God deserves to be glorified. If that was a way too long explanation for my choice of churches or what I am promoting I guess in short I would be a Jewish/ Charismatic/ Methodist/ Universalist/ Quaker/ Full Gospel Catholic. I think that denominations take us toward dead doctrines and away from a relationship with God. If I was promoting anything, I guess I am a constant cheerleadr that God is love.
I don't know if America is Babylon but if it is, that would explain a lot of the reasons I can't find a church in my own community? I would like to know the truth about Babylon so I can get out of its way if it is America is Babylon that is utterly destroyed in the Bible. I have read the bible over and over and I just can't seem to discern where Jesus is condemning the non-religious folks until the seven years of tribulation. If the time is coming soon, I want to be where God needs me to be.
From what I can tell, Jesus was into getting folks to know about the true nature of God. I guess I have said enough. I don't have a home church right now but I guess that my relationship with God is more important to me right now than the doctrine I follow. I would like to be be in communion with Christians who believe as I believe but I never seem to fit in. God told me a few years ago to move to Mexico. I stayed for almost a year but I became lonely for my family and I never really fit in there either... I did learn a lot about tolerance of other cultures and beliefs though. I now have a great job doing social work now and my contract will end in a little over two years. I hope to move to South or Central America as soon as my contract is over. I hope I am not being disobedient to God by not moving now. I will keep my eyes open for whales by any large bodies of water I visit though...hehehe.... Sorry so long.
Im a christain and as all true christains, the only proof we need are written in the bible. The bible is the infallible word of God for all christains. Therefore, no farther proof is needed. Thats why this is call the christain debate.
We do have non-christains coming in stating things that are not in line with what the bible says. They are easy to recognize, they make ridiculous claims that are easily refuted by the bible. So they will try to come up with ideas to get us away from the bible.
The bible is all the proof that we need as far as true christains are concerned because its the word of God
You have a choice to make. You can either believe God or the false prophets of Babylon. You can either accept the truth of Scripture, or the apostasy of the false shepherds. You can either save yo ... Sorry, we had to truncate this message! ... Click here to read it
Fact 1, America is being ruled by Luciferian Adepts in the Satanic Skull and Bones order, for which I have given video clips of admissions from Bush on this fact. The movie The Skulls II gives a superficial revealing of this satanic order.
Fact 2, the White House sits in an upside down satanic pentagram, and this is where the Luciferian Satanic Adepts attempt to rule the free world from.
Fact 3, concentration camps exist in America at this time for the future incarceration and internment of millions of American Christians and Jews, the very name of said program is REX - 84 and REX is KING of the WORLD in Illimuminati Lingo - REX
I have given all the scriptures about Mystery Babylon, and that Babylon which was, IS, and will come again (America's EMPIRE and now present governance over the original ruins of the ancient Babylon now Camp Babylon U.S. Marine Corp in Iraq).
The future will PROVE scriptures correct, and I suppose some of those who are blind, will remain blind, and some in deep deception, will continue to be decieved. We watch for the sudden and quick HAMMERING of DAMASCUS and STRIKING OF SYRIA. This will then allow a definite decoding of Psalms 90 prophetic timelines.
No other nation than America fits all 140 parameters given in the KJV Bible for Mystery Babylon, that was once was, is, and will come again.
[Eccl 1:9] What has been, that will be; what has been done, that will be done. Nothing is new under the sun.
[Eccl 1:10] Even the thing of which we say, "See, this is new!" has already existed in the ages that preceded us.
DUDE! (some of us)We've seen what's coming before. It's already been done dude. Wake Up! The Bible says it, and even the 12,000 year old Akashic records affirm the Book of Revelations, found below the Great Pyramid of Giza, by David H. Lewis and his team, which pyramid serves as God's Altar and Testimony!!!
Isaiah 19 On that day there shall be an altar to the LORD in the land of Egypt, and a sacred pillar to the LORD near the boundary.
20 It shall be a sign and a witness to the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt, when they cry out to the LORD against their oppressors, and he sends them a savior to defend and deliver them.
It's so sad to see that so few people do their study.
The Fact IS, America will turn wholly and completely evil, turn upon her heritage, and slay her people by the millions (foreign cops err troops under U.N. command). America is Mystery Babylon. Have no fear, have wisdom. Have no death, have Yeshua!
Well yes there is good and there is evil ! I dont know if thats debatable ! Is Bush a Christian? I guess that would be very debatable! With all respect to everyone here! Grog
Hello vtool,
Your concern for the safety of the brethren IS Godly, Christ WOULD want that. In my opinion, Romans 9:3 is the greatest statement ever made about concern for the Body of Christ ("For I wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brethren, my kinsmen by race"). When Paul said that, he meant that,...IF IT WERE POSSIBLE (which is why he said "COULD WISH"), he would even give up his own salvation for the sake of the brethren AND THEIR SALVATION (preservation of their souls). It is very difficult to become well versed in prophecy without also becoming very concerned with Conspiracy because of all our emotions (sensationalism). That's the same strategy that the newspapers use to attract more readers and the TV news uses for higher ratings. In spiritual matters, it is satan who uses these strategies as obstacles to keep us from doing exactly what God wants. Satan knows our weaknesses and tugs at our heartstrings (appeals to and stirs our emotions) in order to get us to forget that our real mission is the war for the preservation of the soul. You are sounding the clarion (war trumpet, warning call) of the war for the preservation of the FLESH (Ephesians 6:12 "For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the SPIRITUAL hosts of wickedness IN the HEAVENLY places".
Maybe this the way vtool finds salvation. We should allow that he gives his heart over to the righteous. Remember, Jesus was called a blasphemer by the Temple Elder's of his "Rome".
