Is there any cure for PCOS-like symptoms: acne/bad skin, weight gain, hair loss, excess facial/body hair, depression, irritability, insomnia??... Nowhere near menopause.
Doctors don't seem to take my symptoms seriously, and they seem to be getting worst every day. Is there any hope for a full recovery?
I have PCOS too and you're right, they don't take it seriously. It's not in itself life threatening so Drs just ignore it. But I have read so many wonderful things about how all kinds of diseases start in the bowel (a dirty one) -- including things like cancer -- that I've got to wonder.... does it have anything to do with PCOS?
I think this for 2 reasons. One, most of the pple I know who have PCOS found out about it when they were just around 30 -- just when symptoms got to be too much. Altho they had some minor symptoms for years before that. And I'm thinking..hmmm..the bowel gets dirtier and dirtier over time.... So there is an interesting correlation there..
Next reason is that I have also read that pple with diabetes need less insulin after a really good bowel cleanse. So that made me think it's a good sign too b/c as you know, PCOS can be a strong precursor to diabetes and many of us have diabetics in our families.
So i'm halfway thru a monthlong cleanse right now and I'll let you know if I feel diff after. But I may not be on this forum much -- look for me on the bowel cleanse one if you want to ask me anything ok? good luck! :)
munckinkinsmom, there are other people to help this woman. I need to share my story with you, and if you search this forum, you will find many like it.
For over 2 decades I was pushed around by so many doctors, given awful amounts of antibiotics and decongestants. I had chronic sinusitis, which lead to acid reflux, which lead to asthma, which lead to irritable bowel syndrome. I have literally got sick from taking antibiotics. And my body got to a point where I was afraid to catch something else other then deal with sinus infections, because you see, doctors won't tell you what antibiotics do to you and that they don't help after awhile. Last year I was going to the doctor for my sinus infections and uper respiratory infections and all they gave me was antibotics. I would start taking them and I would get more sick within 3 days. Could not function. And was in bed for a week and lost work. Not to mention not being able to interact with my family. I did not want to die and my children have the memory of me being in bed sick all their lives.
God has answered my prayers for my heart and mind to be open. I finally have some education on how to help myself, but unfortunately, my immune system does not know how to work on it's own naturally. I have cut out sugar, white flour, including white potatoes and dairy, caffeine. I even lowered my cholesterol without taking the lipitor my doctor was pushing me to take. So I feel I would like to spend the money to go see him and tell him what I am doing. It went from 284 to 208 and I know for a fact, you can't lower it as much as that just with diet. So my immune system is learning all over again. I met a lady who visited our church a few weeks ago, she has somewhat of the same HORROR story I have, and she had the same ENT doctor. She was put on an IV line at home for antibiotics to be administered at home, because oral ones did not help anymore. I was to that point and did not want to take that route. The doctor had cut her sensory nerve and drilled holes in her sinuses to drain, but he drilled in the wrong place. She can no longer taste her food. She too has gone away from doctors. I do believe there is a place for them, but they need to be open minded and work with the natural medicines too. They are not God. I have had pre-cancerous cells in my cervix for 3 years, I have been taking care with having repaps, but they have now changed. I have had 2 colposcopies, which I would not have again if I could do over. The OBGYN I had been seeing, only wants to do surgery, Last spring I saw him for pelvic pain, he did not want to do anything else except a hysterectomy and he could not give me a good reason for doing that,except he said maybe it would get rid of my pain. He also told me, at my age I don't need those things anymore. He is a reputable doctor in our area. And family doctors have not taken me serious with some pain I have in my left breast and left side of chest. The one told me it's because of using my asthma inhalers, my muscles are weak. And I was also told I have lumpy breasts, I should take caffeine out of my diet, which I have for many months now and the pain is still there. If people think iridologists are quacks, they need to go to the doctors I have been to.
So munckinkinsmom, please don't tell that woman she is nuts, only the doctors and medical field make a person feel they are going nuts because they don't care enough anymore to help people find out what's wrong with them, they are only in it for the money. Putting all you hope in the medical field is not good. They are only in it for the money, I know first hand. My sister in law lays dying from Breast Cancer . When she went to the doctor about a lump in her breast and found out she had cancer, chemo was set up, but because the insurance would not pay for it, the doctors office called my sister in law and canceled her chemo. And 2 times too. He never called back to see how she was doing, he literally left her on her own. So it goes to show you, it's all about money with the medical field. So she went the alternative route. God does call us home when He wants, but my husband and my young adult children think more then twice now before we call the doctor. But you have to seek out an herbalist, a natural doctor, or iridologist who is caring and concerned. Yes there are people in it for the money in the herb realm, but you will find more caring concerned people here, who will help for free, just because they have been in the same shoes and care about you.
I know I have been educated to help my body naturally, it takes some work and time, but there are so many people in this forum who know what they are talking about.
You don't know until you walk in someone elses shoes.
