I'm very interested in everything this site has to say about restoring health, about doing cleanses and flushes and fasts, but I have one slight dilemma...
For the past few years I have been suffering from extreme fatigue, and absolutely no energy. No matter how much or how little sleep I get, how much sugar I intake, nothing seems to boost my energy. I also battle depression. Though I do love the idea of beginning cleansing etc, the very thought of doing it is wearing me out because of my fatigue. This problem definitely conflicts with trying to live my life on my own terms. It gets in the way of work, social life, school, basically every aspect of my life. I don't have the energy to research this site sometimes, or to do anything to better myself. Everything is just so tiring. Just thinking about doing something is tiring. I feel I'm running on a dead battery that needs to be recharged. This fatigue has lead to insomnia as well. I don't know what's wrong with me, or how to help it...
Well, you have taken the first step and that's the hardest! It wasn't just luck that you found this website. You are meant to be here and there's a wealth of information here just for you.
You know, depression can zap you emotionally and physically. If there is a reason for your depression, sometimes talking it out helps.
Juicing always improves my outlook on life. Have you thought about that? Walking improves my mood, too.
I have just thrown a couple of ideas at you. It may or may not help. But, cleansing definately will help you. Did you know that cleansing your liver will help flush out negative emotions, too? Your liver stores emotions......
Just remember there's a lot of us here who want to help you.
Your dilemma is exactly what got me into herbs, juice, etc. I could fill a book with things I tried that failed.
First - get a physical. Rule out serious undiagnosed issues. Sometimes you'll find a nice easy fix like a lack of iron. Maybe thyroid. (What kind of body temp do you run?)
What helped me:
1)Exercise. With weights. Real tough at first - made the biggest impact over the long haul though. Also helped sleep.
2)Sleep. Zapped insomnia with melatonin for a few days and started going to bed early and up early (9pm and up no later than 7 ever). Then as needed. I don't use it anymore because I got side effects from it. Now I'll use lobelia for occasional bad sleep.
3)Good diet. I didn't do well on all fruit or all vege diets. SO now I eat what I want but I get tons of fruits, veges, etc in my meals. Killing milk really helped with congestion.
4)Cayenne. Extract 3-4 times a day really helped with circulation and mood.
5)Hot Cold showers. This was the missing key. Never would have tried it if I hadn't stumbled over Schulze on the internet. It is excellent.
5)Intangibles: herbs (i make a brain formula), echinacea, relaxeeze, etc. Not stressing (read how to eliminate worry by Carnegie - 4 stars). Superfood (not taking vitamin pills anymore), juicing, juice fasts later on, liver flush, etc. etc. etc. Green tea, ginger, licorice tea. Distilled water (lots), Celtic Sea Salt . Chiropractic and massage.
I'm sure I've left some stuff out. I'll add if I think of it later.
