Yesterday I saw my dentist (of 39 years!)for some minor dental work. I told him that I finally fixed a tooth infection myself that I have had for several years that he could not fix. It stubbornly persisted around one of my lower molars that has a crown. Rubbing tea tree oil into the area would heal it, but then it always returned some weeks later.Last year I had been leaning on my dentist quite heavily to get rid of the cause, because I suspected that recurring ear and sinus infections and more recently cataracts on the same side of my head were somehow connected to the issue around the tooth.
Anyhow, he inspected my mouth yesterday and and stated factually: "Your teeth are white and I know you don't use a whitener; the enamel is shiny. The gums are pink, not read, and the flesh is firm, not spongy. These are the healthiest gums I have seen all day. Whatever you are doing is working for you"! Then I proceeded to tell him about oil pulling, and that I have been doing it for only about 2 1/2 months with these results. He listened to me very politely, but then said that most people would not bother doing it. He is probably right, but somehow I wished that he had had a more positive attitude about it. But his assistant asked me very detailed questions about oil pulling, so all in all I felt very happy with the outcome, particularly about my dentist confirming what I already felt was happening in my mouth!
its a dentists worst nightmare. it means seeing a patient every three years or so instead of six months. if a person pulls every day and rinses with water after every meal, i can imagine a cavity starting.
I was in the dentist's office with a filling out and the dentsit was talking about a root canal... I told him what i thought about it all and asked if he could send me to get the darn thing yanked out of my head... A couple of thousand dollars less and a lifetime without a root canal was well worth having one missing tooth at the back I guess.
Both have improved considerably, but are not completely gone.
I had an intersting experience with my sinuses. The night after my very first pull I woke up in the middle of the night as I could not breathe, my sinuses were severely congested, as if I had the worst cold. After a while, everything started to drain, it was like Niagara Falls! I emptied a box of Kleenex. In the morning my sinuses were clear.
Well done, Wellness!!!! Way to go! I love to hear success stories such
as yours. I've been pulling since mid-July; all I've seen so far is a cleaner
feeling mouth. I have been experiencing some gum sensitivity (an infection?
it was bleeding slightly when I brushed) and sensivity to hot foods and
drinks for about a week or so, but I just keep on pulling...dunno what
brought that on, maybe it has nothing to do with the pulling. I'm sure that your
dentist came off as lukewarm about the technique because as someone else here
suggested, there is nothing in it for him (except a healthier patient). Keep
up the great work! You're an inspiration to us all here!
As doctors go, my dentist has the most pleasant disposition and consistenty an amazingly co-operative working environment amongst his staff. Every time I come in, he tells everyone one around that many years ago I was the very first patient who he replaced all the Amalgams for, and he knew that I would go someplace else if he did not do it. At that time I had many alergies and I was overall in such poor health, that I did everything under the sun to turn my life around, and replacing amalgams was part of it. He keeps asking me if removing the amalgams has made a difference in my life. It probably did, but I can't put my fingers on one thing because I made so many changes... The big amalgams had been put in by an old country dentist in Austria where I grew up. He had made nice big holes in my molars so that he could put in nice big amalgams!
Over the years I spent a fortune and/or much time on naturopathic and homeopathic doctors, remedies, herbs, supplements, chiropractors, yoga and meditation retreats, relaxation routins, a new career, cooking most of my own meals. Most of it was the right thing at the right time, I improved considerably, but did not get really well. A few years ago I ditched the doctor part of the above formula. I then did kidney, parasite bladder, Colon Cleanses , and with the wonderful support of curzone many liver flushes, and now oil pulling thanks to you! I add 2 drops of oil of oregano, or tea tree oil to the pull, and do it in the morning while under the shower, this routine works for me great and is here to stay!
I am sharing my story so that you know there can be wellness after ill health, but you have to take complete charge of what happens to your body, mind and soul, and be really dedicated to this cause. If you don't, you are good business for the medical and pharmaceutical establishment.
Recently I added also ionic detox foot baths. Nowadays I am healthier than most people my age. You can do it, too!
I'm right there with you. Great story - thanks. Same as you, I have a wonderful dentist, but he doesn't want to know about OP. If he did, and it worked, his income would plummet. So he's skeptical.
I'm currently working on ridding my gum of infection that he said would cause me to have a tooth extracted and a titanium bolt put in. I'm using OP with sunflower and oregano oils, plus colloidal silver spray and vitamin E/castor oil for massaging the gum, hopefully killing the bacteria that cause the decay and in the process robbing my dentist of $5000 in fees. I'm pretty happy with the way this is going so far and have no plans to get the tooth extracted any time soon.
The most fascinating thing of all is how everyone thinks my morning protocol of swishing and coconut oil and Ayurvedic techniques is wacky and stupid, but one by one my friends are seeing how fit and healthy I look now and they're starting to do this wacky, stupid stuff too. I'm convinced we're onto a winner here.
Don't you just love it when people think you are wacky and stupid? While all along you KNOW THEY are the stupid ( or better: ignorant)ones? And about wacky, the older I get the less I worry about and the more I enjoy being wacky in other's eyes.
((I add 2 drops of oil of oregano, or tea tree oil to the pull, and do it in the morning while under the shower, this routine works for me great and is here to stay!))
may i ask what is the "base oil" that you use? also would u recommend cold pressed over expeller pressed?
thanks! and congrats!

first I used grapeseed oil that I normally use for cooking, because I was so eager to get going and had nothing else at home. It worked quite well, produced all this amazing sinus drainage. Then for a month or so I used organic expeller pressed Safflower oil, ignorantly thinking it was the same as Sunflower oil. As far as I am concerned, it worked very well. Then I bought a bottle of organic cold pressed unrefined Sunflower oil which I have been using for the past month. It also works very well. I quite like the mildly nutty flavor of it, although the oregano oil competes with it.
I think all these oils work, it's more a matter of preference.
A fabulous story, Wellness! it is so gratifying to read this sort of story.
I'm very glad for you that you found such a great dentist! they are few and
far between. I too had my 14 Amalgams removed in 1987. Wasn't having symptoms
(though the dentist, one of the pioneers in "biologic" dentistry, thought
that my brain fog and chronic fatigue was due to amalgams) but I never regretted
having done it. I think very many of us here on CZ have been thru the same
routine and health odyssey as you. I myself spent some $20K that I could
have used as a down-payment for a condo some place, on the search for healing
myself of chronic fatigue, which began around 1983/84 and went on until around
2002/03. I have learned a lot in the meanwhile, and still am learning, thanks
to this site and one or two individuals I know. That has been my education,
not college! :-) Truer words were never spoken, re being "good business" for the
medical and pharmaceutical establishment. Re the ionic foot baths, could you
please provide some details? It's not the aqua-chi machine, is it?
thanks,
Julie
Yes, I too spent a small fortune on getting my health back, but if I had to do it over again, I would do it again. My book keeper who helps me with my income tax returns used to stare at the figures, then at me. But I figured it was no good holding on to the money and not having a body I can enjoy life with. Now, if I knew then what I know now (We never do, do we?), I'd probably have saved myself a whole lot of money by doing the kidney, bowel, bladder, liver cleanses, liver flushes, oil pulling, kombucha tea drinking etc. first .. ...but, no regrets, I paid for lessons I needed to learn...
re: the ionic foot baths, sorry I can't really say much as this forum might see it as advertising. All I can say is that I am amazed with the results and that it is not the one mentioned above.
Hi Wellness,
I am interested to know more about the foot bath. I did a search on ionic
foot bath and the price varies greatly. Would you mind emailing me
privately? my email address is julieuma@cruzio.com Thank you.
I loved your comment about being "wacky and stupid"--I totally agree!
The joke is on those people who think YOU'RE wacky and stupid, of course...
if they only knew, LOL!!
