Hello to all. I have watched from afar for over a year. I have fasted on and off. Never really passing 5 days. Well I am ready. These are my goals and plans and hope some of you will join me on my journey of health and renewal. I am heading down this road again because I believe it is the only way to get my eating patterns in control and start on a new healthy eating lifestyle.
I started today
28 day water fast
10 day juice fast
10 day raw food transition
Starting weight @162 (kids broke scale last week)
Goal weight after fast @130-135
After this fast I plan on having disciplined eating.. Eating only when truly hungry not when bored sad axious etc like before... I plan on eating in moderation (not with my eyes like before) I plan on eating healthy food and limiting any if at all treat to special occasions. Eating breakfast which I often skip and then binge for lunch. Stop eating by 7pm after dinner and no late night snacking which I have done. Stop eating in a rush or in the car etc. This makes me eat more and unaware..
I will avoid white that have no nutrition such as white bread, pasta and rice and sugar. I will eat more vegetables and lean meats and fruits and nuts and wholesome wheats etc..
Well this it for me.... Hope to get to know some you.. I need the encouragement and support. I will post daily and this weekend I will buy a new scale and post my weekly weight. I will also measure this weekend.. (period will be over so the bloat will be gone) THANKS FOR LETTING MY VENT>> TO ALL THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN FASTING FOR SPIRITUAL REASONS ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS I AM TAKING THIS ROUTE IS TO GET CLOSER TO GOD AND BE OPEN TO HEAR HIM AND GAIN A NEW PERSPECTIVE ON LIFE AND GET A SENSE OF RENEWAL. KEEP ME IN YOUR PRAYERS.
Glad to have you here. You are welcome and everyone will support you. It's a great place to come to. I am using this time to also seek the Lord. Keep seeking and reaching, he will reach back.
That sounds like an awesome plan to me! I'm really impressed with your post-fast goals. I hope everything works out for you! You can always come to this board when you're struggling or having issues with the fast (that's what we're here for, lol).
My only question is whether 28 days on water is too much perhaps? Personally I couldn't do more than 7 because my body temperature dropped to around 93 degrees. But if your body can handle it, go for it! Just be careful and listen to your body.
