About 5 years back I had terrible Nodular Acne all over my face. After a very succesful Accutane treatment I'm having trouble...The scars have all healed, thank god.
But, I'm trying to grow a goatee, and on the sides of the mouth where theres supposed to be a line of hair. That part does'nt grow hair, or grows very weak, brittle, curly hair.
Mind you, I did have two of my largest cysts there...
Is there any way to jump-start the hair growth in this area? Thanks.
See the lines on the side of the mouth connecting the Mustache with the Ghoatee? Thats what I can't grow...
The two cysts might have damaged the hair folicle. It may not be repairable. I guess you could try a hair transplant if you were truly desperate. Or you could do what women with scant eyebrows do - take an eyebrow pencil, and just paint in with light strokes some more colour to create the illusion of more depth. If you have a girlfriend or a good female friend she might be able to help teach you how!
But honestly, it looks better the way it is now. I find men with goatees look silly if their beards are very dense and hairy. There's still hair connecting your mustache to your chin hair - any more hair there would look too harsh, like a marionette.
Sometimes we exaggerate our teeny flaws that no one notices into something bigger than it actually is :)
LOL! Well if that's your real pic in your profile then, you still look fine :) I don't know why guys are all obsessed about facial hair... marionette lines and goat beards are never sexy! Bleh...
