Hello, I'll try to keep this short as possible, with as much relevant information as possible so I can help someone:
Try drinking tomato juice every day.
Me: 24 year old female, generally fit, thin healthy.
My eczema: Since I was 8 or so. First I had a patch under my nose during allergy season, on my arms in the winter, sometimes behind my knees too. Used hydrocortisone constantly but it didn't seem to work. When I went to college it got really bad. I had eczema on my torso, behind my neck, sometimes on my ears. In college my face got pretty bad so I went to a doctor for a prescription. They gave me betamethasone priponiate. It worked great but it is not for long term use. Eventually I decided to try to find a way to get off of it. At first it was not so bad but then cold weather came around and soon my face looked awful again. My eczema never really seemed to be caused by any specific foods or triggers or anything, I think mines is based on colon problems. Most of my life I had a crappy diet (mostly ate white rice and meat, lots of meat, hot dogs, chef boyardee ravioli, mac and cheese, tunafish sandwhiches, ramen noodles, microwave dinners, almost never ate fruit nor vegetables) and was constantly constipated.
The other day I came across the suggestion to drink tomato juice so I gave it a try, for the past year I've been trying everything I've come across: probiotics, MSM, flax oil, vitamin D, taking long Epsom Salts / Sea Salt s baths, master cleanse, I did two liver flushes, some coffee enemas, drinking green smoothies daily, last month I started the colonix program, I'm still using it now, threelac, formula 3-something (anti-candida stuff). I mention those because maybe they might have helped my eczema too. I have also been trying to improve my diet, it is not ideal yet, but now I include more fresh produce and whatnot.
The effect: The rash is disappearing steadily. At first I had alot of skin peeling off and at night I'd have some short but intense bouts of itchiness but that just seems to be part of the healing process. First two days had some trouble sleeping but that went away quickly. My point is, don't confuse some temporary bad side effects with not-getting-better. Another side effect: When I go to bed to sleep I get alot of hypnagogic visions.
I think it's the Lycopene in tomato juice that helps, so maybe a lycopene supplement would work too. Not sure but I think I read that it cleanses the blood, helps the immune system, and prevents food from rotting in the intestines.
Anyway, I hope this helps someone. I never thought I'd find something so simple that works so well so fast, after suffering chronically for over 15 years.
I started to get a little eczema after eating bread for a few month. Usually I don't eat bread. Its part of a re-introduction experiment. I avoid tomato because it irritates my stomach - fresh, peeled plum, sun dried, well cooked, puree you name it. Interestingly my blood type is A. In the blood type diet, Peter J D'Adamo claims tomato is not good for blood type A's.
I have just been doing a lot of research into eczema recently. I am concluding it is a result of accumulation of toxins in the body, and or bacteria and parasites. I am about to experiment with some slow chelation.
Yeah, I understand some people have trouble with tomato. Maybe there is something you can take with it so it does not irritate. Maybe you can try taking lycopene pills, because maybe it is the lycopene in tomato that helps. It probably would not absorb into the system as well though, although I read that eating avocado with lycopene helps absorb it better.
colonix program
pancreatin with meals
2-3 cups tomato juice a day
Up to 1 cup carrot juice per day
no steroids
unrestrictive diet
up to 5000IU vitamin D some days inconsistently
probiotics inconsistently: pills and threelac
ox bile with fatty meals
There were times when I was skeptical that the tomato juice was still working, progress is a little slow, and I'm impatient. I figured I'd judge on a monthly basis, but now, so soon my faith is restored. At first it seemed like my left arm was not getting better but now it is indeed much much better. Today it itches but the skin actually looks normal and feels moist even though I scratch it as much as I want. My right arm usually has extremely little rash but it has flared up worse than ever (still barely noticable, but it itches). I think that change is a good sign that it is being "released". A few days ago a developed a sore on my face that still won't heal, but at the same time my face has improved even more. The skin is pretty normal except some mild discoloration and a little bit of roughness. I figure the sore is just part of the healing process. The area around the sore looks a little pale, I read somewhere someone saying that paleness can be a sign of eczema going away.
I started taking the pancreatin with meals because of advice from eczemacure.info, I'm not sure how much it helps compared to the tomato juice, but my guess is that it should be helping. I consider only the tomato juice and the pancreatin the crucial parts of my regimen. Drinking vegetable juice in general though keeps the unrashy parts of my skin very soft and moisturized though.
How are you doing now - are you still drinking the tomato juice. Your message was in January and it's almost been six months. I started it three days ago but also started the oil pulling a week ago. I swish the oil for 10 minutes vigoriously and then spit out and put in new oil (Sunflower or Sesame) and do it again for 10 minutes. I'm also on a parasite remover pill and liver detox. I'm showing signs of clearing without Cortizone Shots that I've been taking for over a year. However, after 15 weeks of being clear I had the worst skin reaction ever with blisters all over. But now 14 days later since that attack, I'm starting to clear especially after drinking the tomato juice. So, something is different. It may be the combination of all of the above and another product called IntraMax with 415 essential nutrients. It has matrixes for all the systems and includes light treatments and flower essences. If I completely clear without taking any Cortizone, then I'm half-way out of the woods. The Cortizone, even the creams were making my hair fall out, loss of vision, and my whole body was sensitive to the touch like a fibermalysia feeling. I believe there is a certain combination that will turn the immune system back to responding correctly. Even with all the pain and confusion, I've learned more about myself than ever as it stopped me in my tracks to take the time to figure out things that are actually much better for me than what I was doing and eating!! Thank you so much for your input as already I'm feeling better than ever! BestWishes
