I've got lemons, Sea Salt , some water, milk, distilled vinegar, some assorted seasonings, some ovaltine, onions, garlic, bell peppers.
Someone give me some type of McGyverish concoction to get out of this pain!
What can I do now at this very instant to get rid of or at least lessen the intensity of this burning in my throat and ears? I cannot sleep and I need help.
I know I need to do some flushes and cleanses and change my diet. But right now, I need help. Please help me!
oh boy well with what you have got here the milk will help but cause problems. How about squeezing the lemon in the milk making it a bit less acid forming sorta like a nice buttermilk or cultured kefir.....in the future real homemade cultured kefir worked instantly for me in the past..A
I'm still "burning" slightly in the throat. Why does it affect your ears I wonder?
Anyway, I do have some Adams Ground ginger so I'll try that. I'll try almost any and everything at this point. I can't sleep until this goes away. How much ginger would you say about 1 tsp? I have some chamomile tea. I hope that doesn't make the reflux flare up. Please advise.
ah you did not mention that in your compendium of ingredients.....
I would do the chamomile tea you may or may not feel to add a bit of ginger since you have had the lemon. It probably will only help. I have used chamomile for intestinal soothing before very.... well.... soothing
Can you expound on this? I've never heard of this treatment before.
I've heard ACV works well but it can be damaging to the teeth.
I will try this now.
Okay.....I just tried the milk and lemon treatment and that helped out a little. Actually it helped out a lot!
Thanks for that. It was not easy going down though. I've got texture issues..LOL
Now that I've put the fire out with a little milk and lemons....like I mentioned before, I know I need to do a cleanse but I don't know which one to start first. Also I've heard of the Water Cure . Can I do that and a Bowel Cleanse at the same time?
This is open for anyone to answer so please feel free.
Well you said you had "distilled vinegar" I would not use that, purchase some natural ACV from a health outlet and drink a bit after meals especially late.
The milk is just an intuition non-experiential milk often helps people but then comes back as it sours, maybe the lemon will help buffer while still coating the intestines. Acid reflux feeling may be from over or under acid also.
I might start with a Bowel Cleanse and examine diet for the triggers. Increase natural foods that support digestion lots of fruit with enzymes pineapple papaya, kiwi, magoes, lemon squeezed in warm water, adequuate fiber, maybe some digestive enzymes for support pancreatin would help. Others who have had this problem may help.
Thanks for the response. I'm trying to ease myself and my little one into a 80% raw and natural diet but with so much information I don't know where to start. I'll get to the grocery store tomorrow and get some of those fruits and vegatables.
Hello, I have been trying to find someone who has a sore throat caused by acid reflux...you seem to be that person. I have been visiting doctors for over 2 years trying to get help with my sore throat, burning ears, burning eyes, burning tongue, even my lips sometimes burn. Most of the time, my throat hurts.
Anyway, i finally made it to an ENT this week. He told me I have Acid Reflux and that the only thing i can do is take Prevacid everyday. I tried to question him about how i could treat this condition without medicine. He told me I have to take medicine. We went round and round ending with his giving me a prescription for prevacid with 3 refills. He would not listen to my questions with an open mind. He told me that if my arm was missing...it would just be missing and i would have to deal with it. He was trying to make the case that i have a malfunction and need to take prevacid and live with this malfunction. He actually told me that he was treating a symptom. The conversation amazed me. I am not finished with my search in overcoming this without medicine. I cannot take prevacid...it makes me tired, and very sick feeling, flu-like and i was beginning to have other side affects, as well. I told him this and he lowered the dosage. What is wrong with these so-called professionals? How long before i would be in another doctor's office being treated for health problems caused by taking prevacid? no thanks! let me know how your quest in overcoming your acid reflux turns out. i would be glad to be keep in touch and let you know what goes on in my acid reflux world. I am not going to give up on finding an answer. thanks for listening. Jackie
hello Jackie, i have the same symptoms as you and am still trying to overcome them. I do have good and bad days now. I try to stick to candida diet and take probiotics. Its hard though because I have to chew gum and suck sweets all day to east the buring tongue and throat. I am now thinking of getting anti fungal remedys and parasite herbs to see if it helps. Do you actually get heartburn or is it your throat and tongue, ears etc that hurt - What have you done that helps - thanks
so sorry i have not replied to your letter sooner and dont know if you will get this new msg from me or not but i did want to update you on what has been happening since i last posted.
i have been to the doc many times since that last msg and have been sent in many directions.
first, let me answer your question about heartburn. i do not get heartburn but do occassionally have nausea when i first wake up in the morning. the strange thing is...most mornings...i wake up without the sore throat. it's after i have been up and start eating or i thought it was the eating causing the problems...not so sure now.
i went back to the doctor a few weeks ago. my hands started getting numb and i was having trouble doing small things like buttoning a shirt, etc. this really scared me...so i went back to the doctor. he sent me for an MRI...they did a scan of my neck and said i have 3 bulging disc. i went to a neurosurgeon who wants to do 3 nerve blocks...one block each week for three weeks. the nerve block is scheduled for next week. i asked the nurse at the neurosurgeon if my esophagus could be affected by my disc. she said no.
but i have begun to wonder if all the burning could be caused by skeletal problems.
this is how confusing this has all become for me.
i have the doctor's attention now and i think he will send me to have my esophagus examined.
i will go to him this thursday and i am going to try to have him set up an appointment with a gastrologist. i hope that it will lead to some answers to this problem.
i do use apple cider vinegar and it helps my throat. i mix 2 tablespoons in 8 oz. of water and drink it with a straw. (the vinegar is not good for the enamel on your teeth.) i also take a cayenne pepper before or with my meals and when i wake up in the morning and before going to bed at night. i am used to the cayenne now and dont even feel it but when i first started taking it...it really burned. cayenne will not hurt you and is good for you in many ways.
i am sure you have read about all of this on your own but thought i would let you know some of the things i have tried and what is working.
i am following the blood type diet right now and have seen much improvement with it until i have a day when i feel good and eat the wrong things. should it be a skeletal probem, it would have nothing to do with my diet at all so that is where all the confusion comes.
sorry again that i took so long to write. i will post again after my appointment this thursday. Jackie
