I got the Lugol's from JCrow. Only place I could get it. --I'll come back to that.
But, cilantro? I grew up in Taxas, Tex/Mex food. I just love the taste. But people generally love it or hate it. I read on here some where today that people who need heavy metal detox don't like it, I guess from the release of toxins, I think the poster said. I did have most mercury removed from my mouth about 5 years ago. I made the mistake of not going to a biological dentist. I was dizzy for 2 years because of that mistake. I have 2 small mercury fillings left in my very back upper teeth. I just choose to leave them alone for now.
Amyway, we use a lot of what is called Pico de Gallo. Just onions, tomatoes, cilantro (with jalapenos if you like them) in a base of ACV and oil (your choice of oil)
It's a condiment that goes well with lots of things.
I like it so much I use it half anf half with lettuce sometimes.
So, maybe you can answer this about iodine. I have a few kinds, was real excited to get the lugols. When I ordered it from my local pharmacy, they ordered it, called me when it was in, then said on the phone --by the way you need a prescription for this. I said what I never heard of that. He said are you going to take it internally or what? (None of his business. I said no not internally. He said, well this is meant for internal use and it requires a prescription. I just ordered it from here. I have used it internally twice, a drop. Externally a lot in baths and lotions. I did just a couple of nights do the painting test. It dissappeared within 8 hours. I know I need it. Orlee's talk really, really made an impression on me. I just have to take it slow, because it's how I work. But, what were your personal experiences with it?
I'm in Tejas too. My understanding is that cilantro is a liberator of mercury -- it causes methylmercury to be released from certain tissues, into th eblood stream. This can be used to advantage, if the body's natural detox molecules are at their max concentration at the time of the cilantro ingestion, provided that no more mercurials are released than the glu-peroxidase circulating in the blood can bind, otherwise, one may just cause migration. This could be bad if the Me-Hg is liberated from bellyfat and is deposited in cerebral tissue.
I've been through the Amalgam removal process too, without the rubber dam treatment, no big deal. It used to be that if I ate much cilantro, I'd get twitches and brain fog. Funny the poster mentioned cilantro, becuase just last night I ate a WHOLE "bunch" of cilantro raw from the local HEB grocer. It didn't even cause me to have a single twitch. I mastered heavy metal removal by the guidance and grace of my Protector.
Yes, I had the eyebrow thing for 8 weeks. Annoying. I think its where a cluster of mercury that is on its way out, takes up temporary residence. Once it's gone, the twitching stops.
I had a lot of it a couple years back after detoxing for HM's, then got to the point where no more twitching would occur.
With iodine, I think it brings out deeper-stored heavy metals.
Just keep it simple. Iodine therapy already causes metal detox. Why complicate it with something else? My body is having enough trouble with metal detox. Also selenium keeps the mercury from being so bioavailable. If you are having trouble with your current "serving" level, I think you should not incorporate so much "stuff" into your daily routine. That has served me well so far.
26. Heavy Metal Detox. The bioavailability of a Lugol's containing 12.5 mg elemental iodine was evaluated by measuring 24 hr urine levels of Iodide together with the minerals, trace elements and toxic metals before and after administration of this preparation. The results obtained following iodine supplementation revealed that in some subjects, the urine levels of mercury, lead and cadmium increased by several fold after just one day of supplementation. For aluminum, this increased excretion was not observed usually until after one month or more on the iodine supplementation. [15] Preliminary data so far suggest that orthoiodosupplementation results in detoxification of the body from the toxic metals aluminum, cadmium, lead and mercury. One of the old materia medicas listed using iodine for mercury detoxification. I was just giving you the recipes cilantro is in that I used long before I knew cilantro chelated heavy metals. I have a few supplements with Iodine basically for the same reason. I used them already. A few supplements that could be considered food. The foods are grown by the producer and cold proceesed to retain all of the nutrients and enzymes. They contain iodine because it occurs naturally in certain foods they use. I know all about iodine's properties. I believe I was just asking you your particular Iodine Protocol--not anything else. I do enjoy mixing Lugol's in oil, I like the way it makes my skin feel and look. I already do keep it simple, but of course I eat with a consciousness of what I am eating. I am not having trouble with my serving level. I just like to know what other's do. I mentioned I listened to Orlee a lot so I know about selenium. Your iodine protocol is probably is already posted. Thanks anyway.
Yes Doc10, I was speaking to the original post. And actually, what may be desirable for me, may be totally unacceptable to anyone else. That is usually the case with me. It sounds as if your protocol is comfortable to you. It also sounds as if you have taken good care of your self for a long time.
It sometimes does appear that a posting immediately follow another seems to speak to the predecessor. You kind of have to look at the hierarchy (indentures) to be able to follow the thread. Any post that speaks to yours would be indented by a few spaces; as you see with this one.
I think you are new here, on this forum. Welcome. It is always good to hear from a multiple of varied individuals. Testimonials are very helpful on a "support" forum.
My protocol? I am in my 5th week. I am taking 18 drops of Lugol's per day; and spread throughout the day. I am taking about 2G of vitamin C and 200mcg of selenium. I do supplement with another antioxidant, called astaxanthin. I am aggressive with iodine; because I am trying to address long time health concerns. I will back off to maintenance mode of maybe one drop per day only when I feel that I've done as much as I can.
Thanks for clarifying, you're right I am new. It took me a couple of days just to figure out how to reply instead of post a new post! Sounds like a food protocol. My supplementation is similar. Except still experimenting with the Lugols.
Then also try to take some time to read the posts in the "R RN BSA FAQ" at the top of the page. They are right under the title of the forum. They are normally put there by the forum Webmaster based mostly upon our/your votes for each post that you may consider good. I think you will see that you will get a good grasp of this support forum.
