I'm on day 3 and I've no problems with the cleanse
except at night when I drink the lax tea (chocolate smooth move)
after I have the tea I am starving. The hunger pangs
are so bad I cannot sleep unless I get up and have
another lemonade. Then I get less sleep cuz I have
to pee more.
Any suggestions?
Also do you HAVE to drink additional water to the cleanse?
I'm living on the toilet as it is and yesterday
had 11 lemonades.
Day 3, your tummy is still emptying so that
is most likely the reason you are still
experiencing hunger. Also, if you are
cutting back on the amount of lemonades
and water, now is the time to up them
since, if you are getting in enough calories,
you will not be hungry. The lemonades are
satisfying and filling and by day 6 your
tummy should be empty and this will become
less an issue as long as you are getting
in your minimum of 6 or MORE lemonades.
The water intake does get better. Most of
us come to the cleanse, chronically dehydrated
and so our bladders may take time to adjust
to the water intake. Getting in additional
water is important now and also post cleanse
since it keeps everything working well.
Here is some additional info on the importance
of keeping adequately hydrated~~
thanks, but I don't know if I can continue the lax tea at night. I do fine
with the swf but last night the lax tea hurt so bad the only way to calm it down was to have two lemonades afterwards. Which meant getting to sleep finally by 3 and awaking at 6:44 in nauseated pain.
It hurts my stomach, not the cramps and whatnot like if it were a bowel thing, it really hurts, then I awoke today with my heart pounding really fast til I elminated.
I'm so f'in tired I can't even tell you. The lax tea and all this water has made
my sleep a mess. I don't think I got more than a couple hours each night now and I'm in my 30's I don't want to be not sleeping. Having to pee is part of it but
the lax tea causes so much pain - I just feel like can't even function today.
All I do is eliminate or lay around waiting to do so.
I'm like a zombie liquid processor.
I guess this is where the irritability kicks in cuz I just feel so
negative and bitchy today.
This is why I'm not a big water drinker in the first place, it cuts into
my sleep.
grrrrrrrr.....
I wish there was something else to take instead of the lax tea.
I suggest going one day without the tea, then try just licorice tea, it is very mild but still a laxative effect. And see how it goes with something not so strong. Also how long are you steeping your tea? Should be less than 5 min.
I tried steeping it at different times, 2 minutes still gave me problems.
Last night I skipped it and instead took some triphala and had a chamomile and peppermint tea.
My stomach still hurt but not as bad. This morning I had way more come out of me
than I did with the smooth move and it was less "violent", so to speak.
The thing with me is an estrogen dominance issue and licorice is estrogenic
and there is a bit in the smooth move too but I couldn't find a lax tea
that didn't have estrogenic herbs in it. I do very poorly when I take anything
even slightly estrogenic (flax, stevia, milk thistle, turmeric) and yes I will be doing a liv/gallb flush a few days after this cleanse is over. I've done two before. One I did from the http://www.sensiblehealth.com
site and got at least 80 stones and then I did a more modified one and got nothing so will go back to the first way.
I am having some soreness on my left side at the bottom of my rib cage that
worries me a tad and my teeth are killing me (yes I rinse and lightly brush with baking soda after every drink).
I've not lost weight really but I'm small. Yesterday I weighed in at 102 and today
102.5 so I gained!
Good thing I'm doing this for health reasons only! Yeesh.
On the good end - my swollen node in the back of my neck has gotten a tiny bit smaller. Lips aren't chapped, eyes aren't crusty.
Maybe you are meant to gain weight? :)
Sorry about the estrogen problem, I don't have that trouble so I didn't even think about that before mentioning the licorice.
Why not try a different kind of lax tea. Everyone is NOT the same. What works for one of us will not always work for everybody else. I don't use Smooth Move. I don't like it. I use Laci Lebeau's Super Dieter's tea. It is a lax tea also.
you are right on there, and apparently the mc is not for me.
In three days my gums receded and now three of my roots are exposed
and they weren't when I started a week ago. I had to come off it last night.
I read up on receding gums and citrus is not good for it. I think I
have an issue with citrus in general. I can't eat tomatoes but I thought
I could do lemons/limes. I tried the orange juice to get off and
it burned my stomach and my lips and tongue.
I did a straw on this but still too much pain.
I had some organic veggie broth and was able to finally get
to sleep!
Everything hurts my teeth now though.
I'm very unhappy about that, having your roots exposed is
so not cool.
So veggie broth and soon the soup and then I'm over this.
I'm so sorry you're having such a horrible time with all of this. My husband is allergic to Oranges, Grapefruits and Strawberries. I don't think he could do the Master Cleanse either. Even if he could, I don't think he would anyway. No one can say that you didn't give it a good try.
Maybe you should post about this on the Ask Curezone forum. There are some really smart people who check that board and you might find a remedy to the way that you're feeling now.
I am no expert, by any means, but I have read that iodine can be helpful when you are having food reactions. Prior to trying anything with iodine, or anything else, if I were you I would post on Ask Curezone. Once you are feeling better, you may find some help in selecting a better cleansing route there.
Again I am so sorry you feel so bad. I hope you feel a lot better very quickly.
