I am wondering how and what transmits your conversations over a TV. I know of nothing in them that broadcasts your conversations. If you are refering to being able to tell what channel you are on that was possible back in the 50's TV's by using a very directional antenna and a spectrum analyzer. In fact some of us thought about using this technique for stations that wanted to know their audience instead of relying on the method they used by having selected people log what they were watching as one could easily mount this equiptment in a truck and drive around neighborhoods and tell what everyone was watching. I have read that there is a chip in your computer printer than can broadcast what you have printed out. I would have to research that one though because this is only from memory and I don't really trust it (my memory that is).
I had one for a while, but gave it up and pocketed the $ 600 it was costing me yearly.
Lots of folks like them because cellphones make them feel important, but, what are all these people really talking about on these phones ? "Honey, pick up a loaf of bread on the way home" and "What do you want to do tonight ?" I've used the cellphone for business, but since trahsing it 14 months ago, I found I really didn't need it and prefer a regular phone anyway. No dropped calls, and no 900 megahertz radiation going into my head, which has been proven to cause statistical increase in bran tumors.
My opinion is that cellphones are a waste of money. In a real emergency, I'd rather not dial 991, but rather use my varmint pistol if a snake threatens.
