Try also the Budwig diet... with this alternative recipe I've developed. It NORMALIZES blood Sugar
within a week, sometimes less. That helps PCOS and the resultant problems immensely.
**1/2 cup cottage cheese (low fat or whole, not non-fat)(use organic if you can get)
**2T agave nectar (looks like honey, sold in the same dept in your health food store -is extremely LOW glycemic)DO NOT USE artificial sweetners, honey or sugar!
1 1/2 T. ground cinnamon
3-4T. flax seed oil (make sure you get one that needs to be refrigerated)
Using a hand (stick) blender, blend all together in a bowl until smooth and no curds showing. Eat all within 20 minutes. DO NOT make ahead or extra - loses potency if you do. It really tastes great and not at all oily - you'll never know it's there.
I've had AMAZING results from this... and some really neat side effects. My skin is not as dry, the dry skin on my heels and feet has all but vanished. Blood pressure is reduced, brain fog gone and best of all - NORMAL blood sugar.

One word of caution: this is not recommended for helping blood sugar in Type I diabetes, only Type II.
