I just wanted to post a quick update on what's happened since the first round of humaworm :)
Took my last capsule on 28th July . . . have been munching on the odd bit of raw garlic here and there since then, but decided to 'up the ante' last Sunday and chopped a large clove into pieces and swallowed them whole with a drink of water. Think it definitely did something....had to run to the loo at work yesterday and experienced burning liquid diarrhea (can never spell that word...). Felt awful though and had to go home...fell fast asleep for two hours and still feel groggy today. I'm back at work, but so far have been ok.
Meanwhile I saw my doctor last week and explained what had been happening - and she believed me! I've got to hand in 3 stool samples and they'll be analysed for parasites etc (though I've read that it's not always possible to detect critters, even though they are there).
Last night I prepared a sample and *think* I might have managed to include a few wee critters for them to analyse, I hope so anyway. As I was flushing the rest away though, I noticed a worm! It was about 1.5 inches long, with the head larger than it's body...what do you think this could be RG? Sorry for the vague description...please let me know if any more info. is needed.
Thank you very much for all your help RG :-)
All the best
Carrie
What a lovely bonus that your doctor believed you!
Perhaps some would like to know what was my experience with 'testing', years ago.
Doctor gave me a little folding card with three special spots on it. It also had detailed instructions on how to use it, and a number of small wooden sticks.
Trouble was, I knew nothing about laboratories, or parasites, even the microscopic kind.
It had been carefully explained to me that this was a brand-new way of understanding and testing health...and I was lucky to be chosen to participate.
But I was so grassy green that I didn't do as asked, and, in fact, never saw that doctor again. Sigh.
I suppose good information could come from anywhere, but that we need to be receptive.
Wouldn't it have been interesting to take your one and a half inch 'sample' to your doctor?! ...If you had been able to catch it.
That is good news indeed! Maybe they can identify your parasites - maybe not. I am glad to hear of doctors trying to come around to the idea of parasites.
