I assumed when you said 1/4-1/2 tsp that perhaps you estimate instead of measure and come somewhere in between. Or do you start with 1/4 and go up until you begin to tatse it?
Have you continued the flush every day and feeli tis needed?
I measure the salt in the glass of water - the directions I read said 1/4 - 1/2 tsp. I started out doing 1/4 tsp and had gotten up to 1/2 tsp.
Today is day 5 of the salt water flush, and I think I will keep doing it. It's very impressive - I have my regular BM every day first thing, then drink the salt water. Just like after a coffee enema, it's amazing what is left after feeling like I've gotten everything out in the BM. By the time I'm done it's only water coming back out - I believe it is flushing everything out of my colon, so it could well be flushing out the small intestines too.
I'd had a series of 3 colonics a month or so ago, and I think this will clean things out just as well. And it's quicker, easier and cheaper, and I don't have to leave home to do it.
I am looking forward to going back to doing occasional coffee enemas, too, once my shoulder heals up enough after a labrum repair surgery. I think that will continue to detoxify my liver. After the flush I have my Essiac Tea and then ozonated water, all helping to heal thyroid cancer.
Yes I try to tell people that normal bowel movements are often incomplete. Also as waste leaves your rectum, more will soon enter, and the evacuation may not occur for some time so the salt will help it exit quicker.
May your healing and overall your health be happy
Aye
Are you saying that even those with high BP can have more salt? I have adrenal fatigue, but am one of the few who have hypertension with it. It has been really hard trying to figure out what to do when one thing is supposedly gone for one problem but makes the other worse!
I just tried this yesterday and it did nothing! I feel I'm getting more and more constipated and only go every 2 days now. I eat lots of vegies and stuff so don't know, but do you think if I increased the salt it might work? Does a whole quart of this stuff make people feel sick? I felt quite sick, but that passed, then nothing! Help!
Without knowing a lot more about your condition, I can only surmise that you are lacking in sodium and most probably dehydrated. So eat more salt and drink more water.
One problem with salt water flush is that unless your digestive track is fairly clear, it can cause a blockage in your intestines. This is very uncomfortable even painful. So make sure that you are not constipated when you start doing a salt water flush.
As far as pros and cons when comparing enemas and salt water flush I must start by saying a lot depends on the type of enemas you take. Saltwater flushes will clear your small intestines and your large intestines while enemas can only clear your large intestines. Each has its place. I don’t use salt water flushes because I suffer from hypertension (high blood pressure) and I have found that salt water flushes causes a rise in my blood pressure while enemas do not do this, even doing several salt water enemas.
When I first (many years ago) started going on a juice fasts I alternated between taking daily enemas and daily salt water flushes. Soon discovered that salt water flushes cause a raise in my blood pressure so I discontinued them.
I would use a salt water flush during a fast after the initial phase of using other bowl cleansing method but would not use it daily because of the amount a salt that could be absorbed by ones body. I take a daily series cleansing enema during all my fast especially during the first few days. After that I would, if I did not suffer from hypertension, alternate between enemas and salt water flushes.
I hope that I have given you some ideas on this subject. You could also read my blog titled “My challenge” link below.
I've been drinking more alkaline water, beginning with this past week. Yesterday, I did a salt water flush, and followed instructions exactly: I put 10 ozs. purified water in a glass, then added 5 ph booster drops to alkalinize. Then, I added 3 tsp. of unrefined Sea Salt . Drank it all within 5 mins. After about 30 mins., I went to the bathroom. A LOT. I went about my business, working around the house, etc. Thankfully for that, because the urge to go happened again four more times! Felt great afterwards. Lots of energy too.
Just be sure and stay in your house for a couple of hours after doing the sea salt flush, since you'll need the bathroom at close proximity.
I find your picture in your profile very interesting. If you have hypertension, which I have, you cannot ingest more salt as it will increase your blood pressure. The problem with salt water flush is that if you have enough sodium chloride in your body then you will not absorb the salt from the salt water flush. But in people with hypertension who are trying to control it, have a lack of sodium and when they drink the salt water they will absorb part of it causing an increase in blood pressure and a lack of flushing effect.
I have tried in the past to do a salt water flush and the only way it worked was to repeat it every day for several days but then my blood pressure skyrocketed. So I would not recommend it for people with hypertension.
Having adrenal fatigue with hypertension is very unusual. Are you sure you have adrenal fatigue?
You could try taking 7Keto supplement to alleviate the fatigue symptom. It is not a cure and should not affect your hypertension.
I tried the flush yesterday and then to my dissapointment I had only a regular BM. On the site it says that it's okay if you don't flush out the water and ALL THAT SALT but I'm still a bit worried. I played a round of golf today and towards the end I wiped my brow only to feel a layer of what felt like sand. I kept wiping it and then looked at my fingers. There was a white powder on them. I tasted it and sure enough it was salt. The site says that if it didn't flush it means that your liver also needs to be flushed and to keep on doing salt flushes and soon enough it will begin to flush out.
I'm wondering if any doctors on here can confirm that this is indeed safe to take in this much salt without flushing it out.
How much water do you drink a day.
You should drink 1/2 you weight in
ounces a day. If you do not have enough
water your body will hang onto it.
When doing a flush try using room temperature
water 1 quart with exactly 2 level teaspoon
of Sea Salt . Drink this first thing in
the morning on an empty stomach within
10 minutes.
Just the quart of water by itself drank right
down at room temperature make my bowels move.
Dring 1 gallon or more of water a day.
