I would be grateful if anyone who has taken the triple drug therapy for Blasto can share their experiences. I've had chronic diarrhea and other digestive issues since a round of Clindamycin nearly a year ago. The doctors in the US that I've seen have been mostly useless. It wasn't until eight months of suffering that one finally ordered a specialized stool test that revealed Blasto. I've been doing herbal and homeopathic remedies that have kept things in check but it's still pretty bad. I'm thinking of doing the triple drug therapy suggested by Jackie Delaney at http://www.badbugs.org,
but am wary of taking more antibiotics. DOes anyone on this forum have any first hand experience they can share? What were your ten days like? Have your symptoms resolved? Feel free to email me directly if you don't want to post in public.
Thanks in advance.
Normaly, your body >should< be able to defend itself from blasto, but if you are already burdened with some other candida as is often the case after antibiotics, your immune system was weakened and the results are known.
whatever you do, I would recommend you take megadoses of probiotics. I've been taking probiotics for a couple of decades, until I learned recently that what we get from pills is ridiculously low amount, hence there are no results.
Take one of those suped-up formulas like "nature's way" - "Primadophilus optima" and then take maybe three pills two or three times per day. That's what I took for more then a month and everything changed for the better. Much better.
Make sure you eat regularly, lots of salads and some meat, and nothing that supports candida (like bread, pasta, sweets and so on), and always take buttermilk or kefir with those probiotics to support their development in the gut.
Thanks. I've been through every probiotic known to man, including the more expensive ones like VSL#3, Japanese probiotics, Florastor, BioK, etc, plus Kombucha, miso, kefir, etc. etc. ad nauseum. They don't seem to do anything. And in fact, Jackie Delaney has pointed out that Blasto loves probiotics. My experience seems to bear this out. What I want to know is if anyone has tried this cocktail therapy and what their experience has been.
Here is a simple suggestion:
1. Get an online fax account (smartfax.com is a great option; you can use them free for one month, provided you cancel before the month is over).
2. Create a standardized letter to doctors, explaining your situation, and that you are looking for a doctor to assist you to receive services from the CDD. Explain what this entails.
3. Go to maps.google.com. In the search engine, type 'md', 'fax' and the name of your city (ie: 'London'). This will generate a list of doctors in your area, together with their fax numbers. You should be able to send your fax to sixty doctors in your area. Altogether, if your experience is like mine, it will take an hour or so to send this.
4. Otherwise, contact the CDD and see if they have worked with any doctors in your area.
I am on the cocktail right now (Day 4) and have seen a great reduction in symptoms. It's too early, of course, to say more.
Jackie Delany of bad bugs has no idea what she is doing and she is in cohort with Borody, to proeprgate false information about Blastocystis. She has never been a real parasitologist to find out what she has; she now on disabilty and she because she still is gravely ill; her story is fraud; she never recovered; and she is completely unqualifeid to give advice. She does not not know that stool tests do not reveal real pathogens, and neither does Borody. Borody is a complete fraud. He says that he the recovery from so called Blasto depends on a negative test of 3 stool test after one months, and if the patient is not well, then you will do a poo transplants and a horrible infusions, whcih costs so many many thousdnads of dollars; So many have been sick because of the poo translants; if the patients is still not well, then, she is declared to suffer from dysbiosis.
Absoluet nonsense; Borody is a GASTRo Idiot; he does not know anything about parasites; he does not how test for parasite. He put together the so called protocal becased information Jackie Delany gave him; can you understand what is wrong this couple now? Neither is really qualified to treat parasite sufferes because they do not know anything about parasites. Even if Borody saw a parasite he would not recognize it, because has no training in that field. He is a complete idiot. HE IS LIKE ANY OTHER GASTRO m*o*o*n.
PLEASE AVOID this criminal docotor; ONE woman I know got so sick from doing the poo transplants, because they are not well tested. And people get real sick from them Jackie has done poo transplanst at home, using her own blender!
These people will kill you; If you have a parasite problem, go see the world's very best. Dr. Kevin Cahill. He saved my life after trying to treat so called Blastocysi; I took both tripple therapies and they did nothing for me. Exvept damage me.
Go See Dr. Kevin Cahill; he does a test that no one else does in the world; It is mucusal test, of the sigmoid.
I have blasto as well. You have to be careful when assuming this is the primary infection. It really depends on the strain you have. Many people carry B. hominis, without symptoms. There could be something else which is at the heart of the over-all problem, which may not be easy to detect. For example, intestinal fluke. There are also many microbes which could have developed during your antibiotic therapy.
If your digestive issues have become very uncomfortable, I would even suspect C. difficle infection, which can develope in a small percentage of people who have undergone therapy with 'clindamycin'.
Stool samples of watery diarrhea are best for detection of ovum or other evidence of parasites.
I can tell if the B.Hominis is pathogenic, but I doubt the typical lab tech could without genetic profiles. It is a tricky thing. The protozoa have receptors which pick up certain drugs, and can attract antibodies. I personally think benzodiazepines are best for this. It MUST be followed through with antiparasitic therapy.
In mty own case, there is so much more going on, that I cannot place the protozoa at the top of the list.
If you include more of your symptoms, we can help you direct a starting point---I think. Shroom
