Hello to whomever is out there- I am 32, lactose intolerant and have PCOS (poly-cystic ovarian syndrome) which really messes with blood sugar and insulin/hormone balances... So for the last 8-10 months now, I have slipped into regularly eating refined starches and dairy foods. I ignored both the immediate side effects and longer term consequences coming up, and have tried juice and raw food cleansing periodically to negate these instead of just not eating the offending foods. Hello, ... ... Not sure about a plastic smell, but if you are beginning a program, with probiotics and whatever else, you may be killing something off, old rank bacteria hopefully, which can change the odor of stool. I think any time you disrupt the environment of a pathogen/parasite and they start dying, the odor of your stool can change. Drink lots of pure water and keep the bowels moving to get that stuff out. Unfortunately its a patented formula. There is no generic. I agree its expensive, but worth every penny in my book. Here in Australia Blackmores has the distribution rights and stores charge anything from $30-50. It pays to shop around. There are some on eBay going for only $25, so it really varies. I get mine from the local Woolworths supermarket for $30. The competition is Coles supermarket, and they charge around $45. Go figure! [End]

another thing to mention is copper can store up in the system... depending on your metabolic type from what i have read... ur diet can play a role too. so maybe good idea is to have enough vitamin c (standard 1000mcg or mg a day) after ur done with lipoic to prevent copper from building up again. u will have to limit ur bad sugar and use honey or stevia instead, because bad sugar eats away vitamin c. c detoxifies copper. so far so good for me for 6 months already :D thank God. I am on my 49th day of a 92 day juice "Feast". 1st thing I would do is immediately STOP all the supplements.Taking vitamins on a juice fast is kinda ridiculous since youre are getting some mega nutrition in vitamins and minerals from the juices. Since generally vitamins pills need solid food to buffer their absorption you are probably peeing out most of them along with all the other stuff you are doing, instead of giving the digestive system a rest which is part of how fasting works. Your system is having to deal and digest all that stuff youre taking and defeating the purpose ...

You missed the point of my post which to summarize that taking all those things in solid form your system has to work at breaking them down and digesting them which defeats the purpose of a liquid fast which is to give the digestive system a rest so the energy the body uses for digestion can be used to cleanse and heal. That IS the main workings of a liquid fast. Any research would have told you that. No if and or buts about it. The natural state of the system is being healthy and we just need to get out of its way to allow it to heal itself by cleansing and taking the toxins out and that ...

Yes you can take NAC with the iodine. It helps the liver and kidneys detox better. With POCS you are iodine deficient and bromide toxic. You will be doing a lot of detoxing. The NAC will help. Ive taken as much as 2 grams a day without any problem. [End]

With hypothyroid, sometimes adrenal fatigue is a factor too. With adrenal fatigue, especially in the early stages, in an attempt to compensate for a faltering thyroid, the adrenal glands increase production of cortisol and dhea rises. Dhea is the building block for estrogen and testosterone. The adrenals also produce pregnenolone. If you have cystic ovaries, isnt that going to cause an over production of hormones too? Wacked-out thyroid and stressed adrenals is going to cause your sex hormones to be wacked out too. Once you get your thyroid supported, (check out http://www.stoptheth ...

Hey. I was also on antidepressants and found there was excessive hair growth in all the places you have mentioned. I dont know it they coincide with each other though. There are lots of things you can do to slow the growth/get rid of the hair. Laser tx can be highly effective as well as electrolysis for longer permanent results but you may need to save up for that. You can get hair inhibiting cream which can work. Ill bet you also have painful periods and tender/painful breasts during your cycle too. Again, these are signs of iodine deficiency and bromide toxicity. The fluoride in our water and bromides in our foods (dough conditioner, mountain dew --bromated veg. oil, medicines, herbicides especially on strawberries) all take up residence in our bodies where iodine should be aka iodine receptors. Im afraid your condition is a little too severe for hypnosis and acupuncture. I dont think they will even have an effect. You may even have adrenal problems. You could be suffering from Cushings. Have your cortisol checked. I bet its through the roof. You may even be diabetic or suffering from acidosis since Glucophage was thought to promote acidosis in the body. If the blood test results is supposed to be at the top of the range like its supposed to be for the 24 hr saliva cortisol test, then yes, it sounds like you have adrenal fatigue. Look at the link on Stopthethyroidmadness.com site Those Durn Adrenals and do the Self Discovery Steps. If they point to adrenal fatigue, then look into getting the 24 hr saliva cortisol test done. It will confirm if you have high cortisol or low cortisol. High cortisol is the early stages of adrenal fatigue and low cortisol occurs in the latter stages. It sounds like you have severe adrenal fatigue. Have you taken a 24 hr saliva test to determine your cortisol output? If you havent had one go to StopTheThyroidMadness.com for a link for a place where you can order the saliva test without a doctor. If youve got low cortisol, then you NEED rx adrenal support like cortef. If youve had the saliva test, can you post the results with the ranges? The follicles are probably cysts. Iodine will help. Morning cortisol should be at the TOP of the range. A 24-hr saliva test will give you a better picture of your adrenal fatigue. Think of a hill that slopes gently down to the bottom. Thats what your cortisol should do. It should be at the top of the range first thing in the morning and near the top at around noon and lower in the early evening and at the bottom at midnight. Are you taking ANY adrenal supporting herbs like licorice? How about isocort? In the end, it may not be enough, youll probably need some rx strength hydrocortison. Definitely exercise! My regular yoga practice was the only thing that kept me hanging on in my last few years with the Mirena. I agree that exercise can definitely help overall, but have any of you experienced shortness of breath and a rapid heartbeat after normal activities? Normally I ride my mountain bike straight uphill for 45 minutes twice a week. It gets my heart working at a rate that I have always been able to handle. Since the Mirena has been out (2 1/2 mos) Ive been afraid to test my heart at this level because of the above and also heart palps that I was having last week before ovulation. [End]

I had bad panic attacks right before I had my mirena removed, which always coincided with my cycles. Its been 7 1/2 months since my removal, and I am not fully recovered, but I am much better than when I had the mirena in. I gave up caffeine completely, and that helped a lot. I also find that limiting alcohol helps. I am on atenolol and zoloft for the anxiety, and they have really pulled me thru. I wouldnt say that it gets worse after removal, but that it gets worse the longer you have it in. The sooner you have it removed, the sooner you will start feeling better. Good luck! [End]

It hurt a lot to get it in, but it was a breeze to get it out. It hurt less than a pap smear! They just give a little tug and it pops right out.
