Hello, ... ... I’ve read in a ton of places how great green tea is for acne, both internally and by applying tea bags to your face for acne. ... But some people have said it needs to be caffeine free; is there anyone on here that has used green tea to get clear and can tell me if caffeinated makes a difference? ... Green tea is an anti androgen so that’s why it’s supposed to help with oil production and hair loss and hormonal issues but for some reason there don’t seem to be many posts on here about it but there are rave reviews and posts on it at acne.org. ... I recently found out about John of God, a psychic surgeon in Brazil. I decided I would do some distance healing with him, and before I had the session, I felt his energy come to heal me. If you were my daughter, I’d encourage you to go and get the hair removed via laser. It’s very expensive, but you can look around for deals and start with small areas at a time. Then do the next area when you replenish your money supply. I don’t know where you live, but living social, bloomspot, groupon, etc. often have deals where you can at least start the treatment at half price. [End]

Hey. I was also on antidepressants and found there was excessive hair growth in all the places you have mentioned. I dont know it they coincide with each other though. There are lots of things you can do to slow the growth/get rid of the hair. Laser tx can be highly effective as well as electrolysis for longer permanent results but you may need to save up for that. You can get hair inhibiting cream which can work. I have also read lately that pepperment tea has been related to decreased testosterone levels, which is good, but however once a hair follicle is stimulated, even when there is d ...

I am a 27 yr old female with UFH. I am not sure when it started but I think it was back in Jr.high. I have dark hair and the UFH was also dark so I did the only thing I knew of back then to get rid of it, I shaved my face. Hi all. I am hoping someone on here can help me get the answers that I’ve been so desperately looking for. So, I am a 20 year old girl and have course, long black hair on my face. It use to be just the normal blonde peach fuzz that I see on some girls, but when I was about 16 I started noticing a change. It’s not just one or two, I am talking maybe like 50 or so. I have to tweeze my face, etc. on a daily basis. But the hair does not stop there, it is in between my boobs, my nipples, and also what I guess you would call a happy trail.. This happened to me when I was younger. I can assure you that the hair will keep growing under your skin for at least an inch! That way the hair will keep growing, only over the skin instead of under it. [End]

Hi there, I have finally decided to take the plunge and have electrolysis to remove my manly facial hair. Can anyone recommend an electrologist in Southampton (UK)? Sorry, can’t help with a recommendation, but would suggest that you get your hormones stable in the normal female range before going for electrolysis, otherwise it’s not going to be permanent in the way it would otherwise be. This business of keeping your hormones in the normal female range is essential if you’re to avoid developing moustache and beard growth. [End]

With all due respect, I’m not so sure that monkeying with the hormones in our bodies is such a good idea. Who knows what health problems engineering our hormones does long term. I found electrolysis to be very effective long term without any hormone changing pharmaceuticals. [End]

I actually agree that monkeying around with hormones isn’t a good idea if it’s only to address ”excess” hair growth. However even electrolysis doesn’t guarantee permanent hair removal where the hormone balance is strongly testosterone dominated, so it’s a question of how desperately one wants permanent hair removal. ... ... Thanks. I guess that makes sense. I tried regular Nair on my legs once and it didn’t do anything, either, so I guess I wouldn’t try it on my face. ... ... I do end up shaving off what Nair doesn’t get on my upper lip, but I feel this makes it come back in more coarse. All this is normal. You can bleach the unwanted hair, but if you want no hair at all, do not shave, pluck. Use hot wax, go to a beautician for the first few times, watch how it is done, so you cna do it at home. If too hard, have it done professionally. If you don’t pluck or shave, you’ll only need it done about every four weeks. This is what I do. [End]

No, what I am saying is that once your skin is sensitized in the womb to respond, like a male’s, to testosterone, it doesn’t take the normal male levels of testosterone to produce male-type facial hair. When it comes to fetal exposure to testosterone, it’s impossible to be sure whether the testosterone comes from the mother or the fetus. ... ... The only reason hair can become coarser after shaving is that it was becoming coarser anyway under hormonal influences which led to the need for shaving. ... ... On the other hand if the growth is hormonally caused then it is possible for waxing, threading, plucking, using an epilator machine etc. to cause the growth to become stronger by proving dormant follicles to enter the growth phase and by causing a rush of testosterone-rich blood to repair the damage to the trauma site of the hair removal.
