I also experienced a near seizure several years back when I was taking antibiotics along with several other prescriptions and I smoked some cannabis. ... Excellent question! I don’t precisely know..it’s not that transparent..wish it..was...but feels akin to shiatsu and accupuncture maybe ? ... ... The ”contact” physical pressure against body is very gentle..having never experienced a standard chiropracter treatment.. have no grounds to make comparisons, and whether some techniques are similar or not...But if 80% of the population experience at some time in their lives ...problems and it can be associated with emotional backlog of stuff and ”felt in the back” etc...it’s surprising this technique isn’t more widely known/praticed? The lower back and hip problems were resolved only after a few sessions. Unfortunately the clinic and NSA practioner folded and there isn’t anyone else in the city! Yeah, I second what 125342 says. Back in 1977 when TM (transcendental meditation) was offering the Yoga Sutres Program, I was one of the people that took the prep courses (it was like 8 weeks). It was a rounding course. The meditator would be in a controlled environment and would slowly begin to increase the amount of meditations (there was also an approximately 10 minute yoga program that one did before each meditation) that one did each day.
