It isn’t what we eat occasionally but what we eat day in and day out. I know you were eating a more Wilson diet months ago. Excellent point. I was wondering same thing. I have always been very skinny and hardgainer. Eating plenty vegetables is healthy but it’s not a good source for complex carb and protein which are essential for body. It’s worth giving the Wilson’s diet a try for a few weeks to see how you get on, especially if it is so different from your current diet...but include some protein with your main meals - don’t just have cooked veg - i too get hungry an hour later on just veg! ... ... I would be more mindful of exactly how much fat to carb ratio you are getting. The reason Wilson doesn’t include avocado/nuts/seeds in the slow oxidiser diet is because when you’re only source of protein is meat - you will be getting a high ratio of fat alongside the protein ratio. I agree with Seattlek, especially about the diet part. I would not advise anyone to do 80% carbs unless when you say carbs, you mean vegetables? Fruit is full of sugar and bread/potatoes/starches turn into sugar. I’m NOT saying fruit and lets say sweet potatoes are bad. But I think each person will find a different diet that works for them...
