I have been researching for the last year issues with my health and my daughter’s health that all circle back to the adrenals. As you may know, stress of any kind (medications, food allergies, environment, personal issues, etc...) start to overload your adrenals, which we need to survive. For example, If you are detoxing off meds, that would again be another form of stress. Adrenals pump more and more to ”survive”/”out run” the current stressor. ”They” do not know the difference between an allergy or medication ... It’s basically like this, fat and sugar don’t mix well, so you either have to go low-carb/meat-based or low-fat/plant-based. Marie, ... It sounds like you went through the honeymoon phase when you were feeling good. I think that’s pretty typical but now that your body has more energy it’s probably putting it to good use doing some deep healing. ... ... I can relate to the sleep thing and I was told that’s typical in four lows. You feel wired and tired. My practitioner told me to take a little more calcium powder at night if I need it and that seems to help. I’ve had insomnia off and on since last July. I try to do whatever it takes to get some sleep even if that means medication. It’s not a great option, but I really fe ...

Marie- I know this journey can get so tiresome and frustrating. I had a feeling you were getting a bit discouraged. I have been there myself many times. Sometimes the progress is so slow that we start to think we are on the wrong path. ... ... I really do think the diet is the most important aspect of the program. It isn’t what we eat occasionally but what we eat day in and day out. I know you were eating a more Wilson diet months ago. Just make sure you are filling up on lots of cooked veg and protein and some fat at every meal. When I crave fat I eat it. When I crave salt I add more sea salt. ...

I think Wilson’s diet suggestions are FAB for anyone trying to lose weight - but if it’s weight gain that is needed, the diet is far too low in calories. ... ... Vegetables contain few calories - even a plateful. I love all veggies and was actually eating the ratio’s that Wilson suggests for a slow oxidiser even before i got the hair test results...eating those ratio’s for at least 2 yrs prior to crashing. Although cooked vegetables are considered high in carbs - they actually contain very few calories in comparison to complex carbs. ... ... Excellent point. I was wondering same thing. I have always been very skinny and hardgainer. Eating plenty vegetables is healthy but it’s not a good source for complex carb and protein which are essential for body. Whenever I eat full plate of vegetables alone, in next hour or so I get hungry again. It just doesn’t satisfy my hunger. This makes me wonder if i should follow Dr. wilson’s diet advice or not?? It’s worth giving the Wilson’s diet a try for a few weeks to see how you get on, especially if it is so different from your current diet...but include some protein with your main meals - don’t just have cooked veg - i too get hungry an hour later on just veg! ... ... I would be more mindful of exactly how much fat to carb ratio you are getting. The reason Wilson doesn’t include avocado/nuts/seeds in the slow oxidiser diet is because when you’re only source of protein is meat - you will be getting a high ratio of fat alongside the protein ratio. He says a ratio of 15% protein while only 6% fat - ...

Do you eat protein and carb. together or at different meals? From what I have read, it says you have to eat high protein and high healthy fats and low carb. diet during adrenal fatigue recovery. out of your 2500 Calories, have you ever calculated how much calories are you getting from protein, carb and fats? Protein and carb intake are generally at different meals - although my digestion isn’t too upset if i have them together. ... ... I tend to go by how much my bowels complain of my food combining skills! ... ... My Nutritional Balancing practitioner, based on my hair test and being an extremely slow oxidiser - suggested high carb through vegetables, 17% protein, 7% fat - as listed earlier on in the thread. ... ... If you’re a high oxidiser with adrenal fatigue then certainly high fat/protein diet is best suited...yet for slow oxidisers lots of complex carbs - grains etc and simple carbs like fruit/potatoe ...

Hi Guys, ... ... I was doing fairly well, until I crashed pretty bad in December, 2 x’s. I think I figured out what caused this. I have not had a live tree in my house for Christmas in years. Stopped supplement s few days and restarted them tio 2 times daily. ... ... A week or so later I crashed again. I started to take a few Christmas ornaments off the tree and broke out with this horrible itch and dry eyes. I guess I am allergic to the live tree.. ...

Hi Paulette, ... We have not had a live tree in atleast 25 years ops we messed up this year. We never even thought about the toxins and mold issue. I can’t believe we did not figure this out sooner with the tree. I respectfully disagree with Natway. Diet is an important factor, but all of our bodies and situations are different, so I would definitely not accept a fruit/carb diet and expect it to make a big dent in a situation as complex as yours by itself. This advice is misleading as a cure all, but it still may or may not have value for certain people or as a piece of the healing puzzle. ... ... That being said, the goiter may imply hashimotos. Hashimotos is connected to celiac disease and gluten intolerance, so if you have not looked there I would do so. Celiac ravages the body. ... ... Also, metal poison ...

I agree with Seattlek, especially about the diet part. I would not advise anyone to do 80% carbs unless when you say carbs, you mean vegetables? Fruit is full of sugar and bread/potatoes/starches turn into sugar. I’m NOT saying fruit and lets say sweet potatoes are bad. But I think each person will find a different diet that works for them... Ultimately, common sense tells you that vegetables are good for you. [End]
