I actually think that anxiety and stress are one of the main underlying causes of candida (as you said Kcirla that stress can be a cause of candida) but not the way that this doctor is saying it. It sounds like he is saying that it is just something psychological which is probably not the case at all. Anxiety and stress build up in the body over time and while they may have psychological causes at first, many times it can be purely physical stress, in either case, it will become physical stress over time. It’s just that the symptoms have remained for so long (going on 5 months) with minimal improvements. Admittedly, my diet is poor and I do have vitamin d deficiency (which has been shown to affect immunity), so it is possible that I have a fungal overgrowth. Look back through the archives and you will see many, many people in the same situation you are in now or much worse in many cases. Be very careful with any anti-fungals right now as these will add more stress to your system. Best thing to start with is diet, clean it up as best as you can, but out sugars, but you don’t have to cut out fruit that is your choice, cut out all packaged and refined food. It sounds like candida or another yeast or fungal issue. If you have only had one partner and don’t share needles; then your negative HIV tests should be definitive. I know a lot of people who have had CFIDS ”solved” or ”cured.” I don’t think this is the cure, but I do know some who had their conditions reversed. Sometimes, people swear they are trying to get better, but they aren’t. I have a roommate like that. She eats nothing healthy, way too much saturated fat and processed foods, and is about 100 lbs. overweight, but she won’t listen to anyone who tells her that if she ate better, exercised, lost weight and generally lived a better lifestyle, she would get better. i started saccharomyces boulardii on Sunday. gave me a headache that day, and everyday since, and also a bit of a runny nose. and about Tuesday it broke my face out a bit, but i stayed on it and my face is almost clear again. the headache i still have. i tested negative to yeast sensitivity a while back, and ate gf bread with yeast in it, with no prob that i recall. also i took 12b count. i think i’ll drop to 6b. anyways, don’t have an answer for you but maybe your sensitivity will decrease. if not, i wouldn’t take it. i would assume it would perpetuate a leaky gut if you are into ... hi Brandi, i think i have an allergy too. taking SB makes me feel like i have a cold. i get a headache that comes and goes during the day. and also a runny nose. but it does seem to be helping in that my white tongue, which is now only in the back, seems to be decreasing slightly each day. Hi Ashler ... ... I had the same problem- white on tongue. Doc first had a test for thrush which came back negative. Then took a tongue scraping and turned out it’s my digestive juices. From there it turns out I have acid reflux. That was seven years ago and although I am very diligent and healthy it has not gone away.
