illysmanx, I cannot answer reference amalgams although I questioned a dentist in regards and he told me that if there were side effects from such he would not be using it on his patients. He also informed me that the wear and tear on amalgams were so small over time that it is believed it would not affect a person to such a degree to cause harm. ... He squarely puts the blame on hybrid wheat, now grown world-wide almost exclusively because of its high yield. Wheat can cause a spike in glucose faster than white sugar. ... ... One of the corners I’m watching is my calcium to magnesium ratio. I’m drinking calcium bentonite nightly, and it can be a little heavy on the calcium/water absorbtion side. Can’t say for sure, but if you were taking antibiotics for that long, chances are pretty strong that you have candida. And if you have any heavy metal issues, which many candida people do, it will only make the candida worse, and/or make it hard to get rid of, without getting rid of the metal issue too. Have you tried Chinese herbalists? They are usually pretty good with getting to the bottom of tongue symptom issues. [End]

I would guess that part of your problems are due to withdrawal from using alcohol but since you have type 1 autoimmune diabetes some other things are going on, too. A person inherits a predisposition to developing type 1 diabetes and some environmental factors trigger the onset of the disease. In a significant number of people with T1D the predisposition to develop a gluten sensitivity, Celiac Disease, also occurs carried with the same gene inherited from parents. Becki, one of the simplest things to do to start with, might be, to get some Miso from a health food store. Unpasteurized. ”genmai” or ”hatcho” type. And start making yourself some simple miso broth. This you will drink instead of anything else but water or fresh juice. (Do you have a juicer?) You do this by blending a T. of miso with a little water, to dissolve it, then add this to a cup of hot boiled water. The idea is doing it this way preserves the vitamins and enzymes. I use shea butter cream with Tamanu oil from fiji Islands it is amazing how great my skin looks and yes I to have type ll diabetes. My feet and legs get very dry and scaly so I have to moisturize often. I have tried so many things but I foung Blue Dolphin Foot and Leg cream and I am pleased to no end with the quick results.
