I have done shanka prakshalana several times and I have learned that different people do it in different ways. The one key thing is the ratio of salt to water, the idea is to make this solution the same ratio as it is in the body, if the ratio is too high or too low, your body will absorb a large amount of the sodium instead of just letting the mixture pass through. Since all people have different amounts of sodium in their bodies, the only proper way to make the solution is by tasting the sodium levels in your own body and matching this to the taste of the solution that you make. To do ...

I just finished a 5 day master cleanse. Instead of doing the SWF in the morning, I did psyllium powder and bentonite shakes for three of the five days. It IS a weird question. Bile doesn’t get ”blocked”, unless you have a blockage in your colon. If you’re having bowel movements, you’re passing bile (if you eat anything that produces bile to be released, which seems to be the case). For bile flow, beet juice is the juice of choice: very powerful, start slow if you’re already not very healthy. 4ounces at a time and see how you feel. [End]

Miss Carter, was this your first enema? Why did they put you in the knee-chest position? I have had them on my stomach, my sides and on my back, then one day in the knee-chest position. I had my first retention enema with double bardex nozzle where, believe me, after a 2 1/2 qt. or larger enema, and a well inflated nozzle like that in your rectum, you want to be in that position. The solution flows down into your colon, being your rectum is up in the air. That first bardex retention enema was what I was given by a nurse who was sent to my house at my doctor’s request. An update on my son. We discovered that vitamin C to bowel tolerance, or almost to bowel tolerance keeps my son’s symptoms (depression from candida) under complete control, but only if he takes the vitamin C every 2 or 3 hours throughout the day. So now because of this we have been able to increase the sauerkraut gradually over the last 2 weeks and now he is eating over a cup a day and feeling good most of the time. He is also now able to eat potatoes moderately, but always with kraut; he loves kraut so that helps. I make the kraut myself. ... ... So some other people might find that die off i ...

whats the best way for ibs-c, you can make a tea and stain off the seeds insoluble lignin part or grind to a flour, eat with meals? with water only morning and night like with psyllium? half hour before meals? Does it work for you? and how do you like to use it? will it feed candida also! [End]

I grind small amounts in a coffee grinder and either put some in fresh vegetable juice or sprinkle on food. Tastes really nice. I wouldn’t heat them much because it would damage the omega 3 oil. It works as part of a healthy diet. You are getting the anti-inflammatory omega 3 and the soluble and insoluable fibre as well as other nutrients like magnesium. Why would it feed candida? theres no reason it would [End]

Don’t mean to be rude, but I don’t care what constipation is defined as by the so called medical professionals. That’s rediculous to assume someone has a healthy gut and all is well because they don’t fit into that range. There is plenty of literature and evidence available to suggest daily bowel movements are important to health and well being. Lastly, the whole grains, high fiber thing is a myth. Increasing whole grains does not necessarily mean you will restore regular bowel movements. I suggesr reading the book called ”fiber menace”. Grains are not good for you as they contain anti nut ...

Psyllium is not a probiotic but it cleanse the colon and provides conditions for probiotics you already have to multiply. I’ve tried this before and never really noticed any difference regarding digestion. I understand the thinking behind this that protein takes much more digestive power than carbohydrates, but realistically I don’t believe there is any need to separate them. I ate something with wheat and gluten in it two days later and I had a terrible reaction - then I felt sick all week - not virus sick but achey, weak, sore throat, weird respiratory stuff (this never happens to me) and I did a couple coffee enemas and felt better, then did one last night and felt WORSE - like weak, anxiety, shaky. ... ... I used to get colonics back in the late 90’s. God are they expensive. I stopped because I was getting too much discomfort from them. For some reason, it doesn’t seem natural for anything to be put up there including water. When we use enemas, it is only a small amt of saline and won’t be as harmful, but when someone is putting gallons of water up there, could pose some problems. I would just rather eat fiber foods, take probiotics and occasional enemas. It comes out cheaper and safer. So yes, I think the colonic caused some problems for you. [End]

HI 158885, Coffee enemas are for cleansing the liver and should not be used for relieving constipation or cleansing the bowels. After coffee enemas it is natural to have less urge for defecating since the rectum is emptied out. In fact, the coffee enemas are used to clean the blood serum. Portal veins run from the large intestine to the liver, when they absorb the coffee the liver is stimulated and starts to clean the blood with much greater efficiency. The resultant toxic waste is flushed into the small intestine via the bile gland. ... If you can take a coffee directly, then there is no need for a cleansing enema. After evacuating the coffee, there should neither be a need for a post cleansing enema. Any of the bile waste fluid that is not expelled can be easily dealt with by the kidneys. ... 4 grams of triphala is not a high dose would be about an average dose, this would be a dosage for someone who was very mildly constipated. Since triphala is a natural product, just a blend of three different fruits, you can take as much as you need until you get good results. You can increase daily until you are moving the bowels regularly, you should feel the results immediately, or at least within a couple of days, if you don’t get results then you need a higher dosage. In the U.S. it is a very expensive product and they are usually in a pill form that has a very small dose in each pi ...

Something you should take into big consideration is carbohydrate to protein ratio. I have spoken with many cattle farmers and they take carbohydrate to protein ratios very seriously as changing these ratios will greatly impact the bowel movements and hence the intestinal health and milk production of the cows. They try to get somewhere from 15-20% protein for the cows, anymore protein will cause constipation, less protein will cause diarrhea. The ratio for humans may be different but maybe not very different. Generally, the more protein you consume, the slower digestion will become. A ...

Just one additional thought, wanted to clarify about the relationship of moving the bowels and fiber. Some people think that the more fiber you get the more the bowels will move and this is not necessarily true. The main role of fiber is to add bulk and to make bowel movements well-formed but for people with constipation more fiber can cause more problems, so for you I would never recommend to supplement with fiber. Eating more carbohydrates will naturally give you more fiber but it is the nature of carbohydrates themselves to stimulate the movement of the bowels. For example eating fr ...

Senna tea bag mixed with a litle vitamin c has never failed me to get my bowels going. Good for temporary use but the cramping/stimulatory/ dehydrating effects are not desirable. One way of increasing bowel movements is increasing bile into the colon. Bile salts or coffee enemas/colonics . Saywhatagain hit the nail on the head. Sounds like flora imbalance/shortage in the colon. When there is not enough good bacteria in the colon then there might be a lack of beneficial acids to help push the bowels out. Fiber does not work for people that lack the necessary beneficial bacteria in the colon ...

For paleo diet some people do well, some do not just depends on your genetic make-up but can cause problems for some. Since you posted this problem with constipation in the colon cancer section, you must suspect this could be caused by a tumor blockage. And of course it could. One sign of a colorectal tumor is if you’re getting flat stools. Other things could cause them of course, but if your stools look completely flat on top as if they were scraped flat by passing under a metal bar, knife, etc that’s a red flag. A sign that your BM’s are being squeezed through a physical obstruction. If so, you should go to the doctor and do the occult blood stool sample. If that comes up posi ...

Good that you are making progress. Another thing that might help is getting an enema bag and doing plain warm water enema’s that get higher up. Those packaged ones don’t get very far past the rectum. If you can afford it, a series of several colonics would help also. For colonics, you would want to start slow, with the person administering it having a full understanding of what you are dealing with. [End]
